BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a noise absorbing device for absorbing noise superimposed on a signal transmitted through a cable, and more particularly to a protective case for protecting a ferrite core inserted through a cable.
[0002]
[Prior art]
In an electronic device that handles a digital signal such as a computer, when noise is superimposed on a signal transmitted through a cable and enters the device, it causes a malfunction of the device. For this reason, in recent years, a noise absorbing device using a ferrite core has been proposed. FIG. 4 (a) shows an example. This type of noise absorbing device includes a ferrite core 1 formed in a cylindrical shape. By inserting the cable CA into the center hole, the ferrite core 1 A closed magnetic circuit is formed around the cable CA to absorb noise in a signal transmitted through the cable CA.
[0003]
Since this type of ferrite core has low impact resistance, if it is transported and stored in a bare state, it tends to crack and chip when subjected to impact. Further, as shown in FIG. 4A, even when the ferrite core 1 is attached to the cable CA in a bare state, it is likely to be cracked or chipped due to an impact when moved together with the cable CA. . When such cracks and chips occur, the noise absorbing effect of the ferrite core is reduced, or the function as a noise absorbing device is lost, for example, the ferrite core is dropped from the cable.
[0004]
Therefore, conventionally, it has been considered to provide a protective case for the ferrite core to prevent cracking and chipping of the ferrite core. FIG. 8 is an example thereof, FIG. 8A is a state in which a ferrite core is housed in the
[0005]
Here, the reason why the dimensional accuracy of the ferrite core is rough is that the ferrite core is manufactured by adding moisture to powdered ferrite, forming a shape with a mold, and placing it in a furnace and baking it at a high temperature. For this reason, the ferrite core produced when shrinking is shrunk, and the amount of shrinkage is affected by the temperature and time in the furnace, as well as the subsequent cooling temperature and time, so it is difficult to keep the amount of shrinkage constant. This is the reason why the dimensional accuracy of the ferrite core is rough.
[0006]
On the other hand, FIG. 9 is another example of a conventional protective case, FIG. 9A is a state in which a ferrite core is housed in the
[0007]
An object of the present invention is to provide a noise absorbing device having a protective case capable of reliably protecting a ferrite core regardless of the dimensional accuracy of the ferrite core while reducing the cost.
[0008]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
The noise absorbing device of the present invention includes a cylindrical ferrite core and a protective case for protecting the ferrite core, and the protective cases are formed in the same shape and fitted from both sides in the axial direction of the ferrite core. It is configured as a pair of annular containers to be joined, and is formed from an annular end wall corresponding to the end face of the ferrite core and an outer peripheral edge of the end wall, and extends along the outer peripheral face of the ferrite core An outer peripheral wall and an inner peripheral wall standing from the inner peripheral edge of the end wall and extending along the inner peripheral surface of the ferrite core, and the outer peripheral wall is formed to be elastically deformable in the radial direction. The ferrite core is configured to elastically contact the outer peripheral surface of the ferrite core in the radial direction so as to sandwich the ferrite core in the radial direction.
[0009]
Here, in the first aspect of the present invention, the end wall is provided with a slit that is formed with a required length along the outer peripheral wall and is capable of elastically deforming the outer peripheral wall in the radial direction, and the slit is formed. The inner surface of the outer peripheral wall of the formed region is provided with a pressing rib protruding in the inner diameter direction. In the second embodiment of the present invention, the outer peripheral wall includes a plurality of notches equally arranged in the circumferential direction, and the same number of wall pieces having the same shape as the notches left between the notches. The wall piece is characterized in that a tip edge is inclined in the inner diameter direction.
[0010]
In the protective case according to the present invention, when the ferrite core is housed in the protective case, the region corresponding to the slit of the outer peripheral wall or a plurality of circumferential wall pieces are elastically contacted with the outer peripheral surface of the ferrite core by elastic force. The ferrite core is clamped in the radial direction by the elastic force. As a result, even if a dimensional error occurs in the ferrite core, the ferrite core can be embedded in the protective case, while the ferrite core can be prevented from moving in the protective case, and cracks in the ferrite core can be prevented. It becomes possible to prevent chipping.

【The invention's effect】
As described above, the present invention is capable of elastically deforming the outer peripheral wall in the radial direction by forming a slit of a required length along the outer peripheral wall in the end wall of the protective case formed in an annular container shape, or By providing a wall piece whose tip edge is inclined in the inner diameter direction at a plurality of locations in the circumferential direction of the outer peripheral wall, when a ferrite core is built in the protective case, a region corresponding to the slit of the outer peripheral wall, or A plurality of circumferential wall pieces are elastically contacted with the outer peripheral surface of the ferrite core by an elastic force, and the ferrite core can be held in the radial direction by the elastic force. As a result, even if a dimensional error occurs in the ferrite core, the ferrite core can be embedded in the protective case, while the ferrite core can be prevented from moving in the protective case, and cracks in the ferrite core can be prevented. It becomes possible to prevent chipping.
