【発明が解決しようとする課題】
しかしながら、このような加熱炉では、一般に燃料を空気過剰の条件で燃焼している。空気過剰の条件では、被加熱体は酸化性雰囲気中で加熱されるため、鋼材表面に厚い酸化スケールが形成される。また、燃料過剰の条件での燃焼では、燃料を不完全燃焼させ、得られた無酸化雰囲気で炉内を満たして加熱するので、空気過剰の条件で燃焼するよりもスケール生成を抑制するが、炉の熱効率が低いうえ、燃料消費量が増加するなどの問題がある。

本発明は、上記のような問題点を解決するために創案されたもので、被加熱体を加熱する際、被加熱体と燃焼ガスとの接触を少なくして酸化スケールの形成を抑制するとともに、燃料消費量の低減を図るようにした加熱炉を提供することを目的とするものである。

【課題を解決するための手段】
上記目的を達成するため、本発明によれば、スラブやビレット等の被加熱体を連続して加熱する加熱炉であって、内部に燃焼室を有し、底部に移動する被加熱体を支持するスキッドレールを設けた炉体と、炉体の被加熱体入口近傍に位置して炉体内に被加熱体を押し込むプッシャーを有してなる加熱炉において、燃焼室のバーナは炉体の被加熱体出口側の壁面に設けられ、燃焼室の排ガス出口は炉体の被加熱体入口側の壁面に設けられ、炉体の被加熱体入口の上方には粒状の蓄熱体が流下して、被加熱体上面に散布される蓄熱体供給管を立設し、排ガス出口と蓄熱体供給管とを接続するとともに、接続部上方に排ガス排出管を接続し、炉体の被加熱体出口には被加熱体に載って移動してきた蓄熱体を排出する蓄熱体排出管を垂下して設け、蓄熱体排出管には下方に空気供給管とその上方に空気排出管を接続し、該空気排出管と前記バーナとを接続した加熱炉が提供される。

次に本発明の作用を説明する。
加熱炉の燃焼室は、被加熱体出口側の炉壁に設けられた燃焼バーナにより加熱される。スラブやビレット等の被加熱体は、被加熱体入口近傍に位置して設けられたプッシャーにより炉体内に連続的に押し込まれ、炉底部に設けられたスキッドレールに支持されながら被加熱体出口側に移動する。加熱炉で均一に加熱された被加熱体は、加熱炉の下流側に設けられた圧延装置に移動する。蓄熱体は、炉体の被加熱体入口の上方に立設した蓄熱体供給管内を流下し、炉体内から排出された排ガスにより加熱され、炉体内に押し込まれた被加熱体上に散布して被加熱体を覆い、被加熱体と一緒に連続して出口側に移動する。炉体の被加熱体出口には、側方に蓄熱体排出管が垂下して設けられており、蓄熱体排出管の上方には蓄熱体払出装置が設けられていて、被加熱体に載って移動してきた蓄熱体を蓄熱体払出装置により蓄熱体排出管に払い出す。払い出された蓄熱体は、蓄熱体排出管内を流下して空気供給管から供給された空気を加熱し、蓄熱体排出管の下端部に設けられた蓄熱体排出装置により排出される。排出された蓄熱体は、再び蓄熱体供給管に供給するため蓄熱体供給管の上部に設けられたホッパ側に移送される。したがって、本発明の加熱炉によれば、被加熱体を蓄熱体により覆うようにして被加熱体と燃焼ガスとの接触を少なくするようにしたので、被加熱体に形成される酸化スケールを抑制することができ、かつ、排出された排ガスにより蓄熱体を加熱するとともに、排出された蓄熱体により空気を加熱するようにしたので燃料消費量の低減を図ることができる。

【発明の実施の形態】
以下、本発明の好ましい実施形態について、図面に基づいて説明する。
図1および図2は、本発明の一実施形態を示すものであり、図1は本発明による加熱炉の側面断面図である。図2は図1のA−A矢視図である。
図において、1はスラブやビレット等の被加熱体8を加熱する加熱炉で、炉体2,炉底部2a,炉壁2b,2cなどから構成され、内部には燃焼室3を有している。4は炉体2の被加熱体入口であり、5は炉体2の被加熱体出口である。6は排ガス出口であり、7は排ガスである。9は炉底部2aに設け複数のスキッドレールで、被加熱体8を支持する。炉体2の被加熱体入口4近傍に位置してプッシャー22が設けられていて、炉体2内に被加熱体8を連続して押し込む。

次に本発明の実施形態の作用について説明する。
加熱炉1の燃焼室3は、被加熱体出口5側の炉壁2bに設けられた燃焼バーナ20により加熱される。スラブやビレット等の被加熱体8は、被加熱体入口4近傍に位置して設けられたプッシャー22により炉体2内に連続的に押し込まれ、炉底部2aに設けられたスキッドレール9に支持されながら被加熱体出口5側に移動する。均一加熱された被加熱体8は、加熱炉1の下流側に設けられた圧延装置に移動する。蓄熱体8は、炉体2の被加熱体入口4の上方に立設した蓄熱体供給管11内を流下し、炉体2内から排出された排ガス7により加熱され、炉体2内に押し込まれた被加熱体8上に載置して被加熱体8を覆い、被加熱体8と一緒に連続して被加熱体出口5側に移動する。炉体2の被加熱体出口5には、側方に蓄熱体排出管14が垂下して設けられており、蓄熱体排出管14の上方には蓄熱体払出装置23が設けられていて、被加熱体8に載って移動してきた蓄熱体10を蓄熱体払出装置23により蓄熱体排出管14に払い出す。払い出された蓄熱体10は、蓄熱体排出管14内を流下して空気供給管17から供給された空気を加熱し、蓄熱体排出管14の下端部に設けられた蓄熱体排出装置15により排出される。排出された蓄熱体10は、再び蓄熱体供給管11に供給するため蓄熱体供給管11の上部に設けられたホッパ24側に移送される。したがって、本発明の加熱炉1によれば、被加熱体8を蓄熱体10により覆うようにして被加熱体8と燃焼ガス25との接触を少なくするようにしたので、被加熱体8に形成される酸化スケールを抑制することができ、かつ、排出された排ガス7により蓄熱体10を加熱するとともに、排出された蓄熱体10により空気を加熱するようにしたので燃料消費量の低減を図ることができる。

本発明は、上記実施の形態に限定されるものではなく、たとえば、2つの蓄熱体払出装置を連接しておいて、被加熱体の移動に合わせて蓄熱体払出装置を交互に摺動して被加熱体上の蓄熱体を払い出すようにしてもよいし、斜めに配置されたスクレーパにより蓄熱体を側方に押し付けて蓄熱体排出管に落下させるようにしてもよいなど、本発明の要旨を逸脱しない範囲で種々変更し得ることは勿論である。

以上述べたように、本発明によれば、被加熱体を加熱する際、被加熱体と燃焼ガスとの接触を少なくして酸化スケールの形成を抑制するとともに、燃料消費量の低減を図ることができるなどの優れた効果を奏する。
