Description
【0001】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to an exhaust gas recirculation device that recirculates part of exhaust gas to an intake passage.
[0002]
[Prior art]
In general, exhaust gas exhausted by driving an internal combustion engine of a vehicle contains nitrogen oxides (hereinafter referred to as NOx), and these NOx and the like are regulated as harmful components. ing. As an apparatus for reducing this NOx, an exhaust gas recirculation apparatus (hereinafter referred to as an EGR apparatus) is known that recirculates exhaust gas to an intake passage to suppress an increase in combustion temperature and reduce the amount of NOx produced.
[0003]
Further, an EGR cooler is provided in the exhaust gas recirculation passage of the EGR device, and the exhaust gas recirculated to the intake passage is cooled by the EGR cooler, the volume of the exhaust gas is reduced to increase the density, and a large amount of exhaust gas is sucked in. It is also known that the amount of NOx produced is reduced by recirculating to the path to suppress the rise in combustion temperature.
[0004]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, in the above-described EGR apparatus having an EGR cooler, when EGR is performed for a long time, soot (HC, particulates, etc.) adheres to the wall surface of the exhaust gas passage in the EGR cooler, and the cross-sectional area of this passage Decrease. Due to the reduction of the cross-sectional area of the exhaust gas passage in the EGR cooler, there arises a problem that pressure loss increases in the EGR cooler and a problem that cooling performance of the EGR cooler decreases.
[0005]
Therefore, an object of the present invention is to provide an exhaust gas recirculation device that can prevent an increase in pressure loss in the EGR cooler and maintain the cooling performance of the EGR cooler even when EGR is performed for a long time.
[0006]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
According to the first aspect of the present invention, there is provided a first path that branches from the exhaust path and communicates with the intake path, an exhaust gas cooling means that is provided in the first path and cools the exhaust gas, and an exhaust that branches from the exhaust path A second path that communicates with the gas discharge port of the gas cooling means, and communicates the gas suction port of the exhaust gas cooling means downstream of the branch portion of the exhaust path, and the first path; An exhaust gas recirculation control valve that opens and closes the path and controls the amount of exhaust gas recirculated to the intake path, and a second path that opens and closes the second path and flows back into the exhaust gas cooling means. An exhaust gas backflow on-off valve that controls the amount of exhaust gas is provided. According to this configuration, when exhaust gas backflow is performed, the exhaust gas recirculation control valve is closed to close the first path, and the exhaust gas backflow on-off valve is opened to open the second path. Gas flows through the second path, flows into the exhaust gas cooling means from the gas discharge port of the exhaust gas cooling means, and soot (HC, particulates, etc.) in the exhaust gas cooling means is blown off to cool the exhaust gas. Soot (HC, particulates, etc.) is removed from the means.
[0007]
According to a second aspect of the present invention, there is provided an exhaust gas recirculation device for an internal combustion engine equipped with a turbocharger, the exhaust gas recirculation path communicating with the intake path upstream of the turbocharger in the exhaust path, and the exhaust gas recirculation path. An exhaust gas cooling means for cooling the exhaust gas, a recirculation gas amount control valve provided upstream of the exhaust gas cooling means in the exhaust gas recirculation path for controlling the amount of exhaust gas recirculated to the intake path, and an exhaust gas in the exhaust gas recirculation path A first on-off valve provided downstream of the cooling means for opening and closing the exhaust gas recirculation path; an exhaust gas cooling means for the exhaust gas recirculation path; and a first on-off valve upstream of the recirculation gas amount control valve of the exhaust path. Between the first exhaust gas reverse flow path communicating between the exhaust gas recirculation path, the exhaust gas cooling means in the exhaust gas recirculation path, and the recirculation gas amount control valve, the second exhaust gas communicating with the downstream of the turbocharger in the exhaust path. Exhaust gas that is provided in the reverse flow path and the first exhaust gas reverse flow path, opens and closes the second open / close valve, and is provided in the second exhaust gas reverse flow path and flows back into the exhaust gas cooling means. It is the structure which has a backflow gas amount control valve which controls gas amount. According to this configuration, when the state of exhaust gas backflow is detected based on the operating state of the internal combustion engine, the recirculation gas amount control valve and the first on-off valve are closed to close the exhaust gas recirculation path. At the same time, since the second on-off valve and the backflow gas amount control valve are opened to open the first and second exhaust gas backflow paths, the exhaust gas flows through the first and second exhaust gas backflow paths. The exhaust gas cooling means flows into the exhaust gas cooling means, soot (HC, particulates, etc.) in the exhaust gas cooling means is blown off, and soot (HC, particulates, etc.) is blown out from the exhaust gas cooling means. ) Is removed.
[0008]
According to a third aspect of the present invention, in the exhaust gas recirculation device according to the second aspect, the internal combustion engine is in an operating region where the exhaust gas recirculation is not performed, and the supercharging pressure by the turbocharger has reached a predetermined value. Sometimes, the recirculation gas amount control valve and the first on-off valve are closed to close the exhaust gas recirculation path, and the second on-off valve and the backflow gas amount control valve are opened, respectively. Since the exhaust gas backflow path is opened, soot (HC, particulates, etc.) in the exhaust gas cooling means is blown away by the exhaust gas discharged to prevent the supercharging pressure by the turbocharger from exceeding a predetermined value. Thus, soot (HC, particulates, etc.) is removed from the exhaust gas cooling means.
