Description

【0001】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention can be applied to a sheet-using device such as a printer, a copier, a facsimile machine, a printing machine, or the like that uses a sheet such as paper or a film to perform processing such as printing, transfer, printing, and processing. Specifically, in such a sheet-use device, cover the outside of the vertically oriented sheet conveyance path with a lower cover and an upper cover that can be freely opened and closed, and open the upper and lower covers when performing jam processing or parts replacement. The present invention relates to a sheet conveying apparatus that opens the door.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Conventionally, for example, in a sheet conveying device provided in a laser copying machine, a sheet after image fixing is guided and discharged to a paper discharging stack device on the copying machine main body. Some have roads. Then, the outside of the sheet conveyance path is covered with an openable / closable exterior cover, and when performing jam processing or parts replacement, the exterior cover is opened to open the sheet conveyance path.
[0003]
However, in a relatively large copying machine or the like, the sheet conveying device is also large, and the exterior cover is large and heavy. Therefore, the size and weight are a burden for the opening and closing operation, and a large opening and closing space must be secured.
[0004]
Therefore, conventionally, in a relatively large sheet conveying apparatus, the outer cover is divided into an upper cover 1 and a lower cover 2 as shown in FIG. 11, for example, and the upper cover 1 is centered on the upper support shaft 1a. And the lower cover 2 is opened downward and outward about the lower support shaft 2c to open the sheet conveying path S.
[0005]
For example, as shown in FIG. 12, the upper cover 1 attracts the fixed magnetic body 4 with the magnet 3 and maintains the closed state, while the lower cover 2 that always receives gravity in the opening direction rotates the hook member 5. It is configured to be pivotable by being urged counterclockwise in the drawing around the moving shaft 5a, and the hook member 5 is hooked on the fixed stud 7 by the urging force and locked in the closed state.
[0006]
At the time of paper discharge, a plurality of pairs of conveyance rollers arranged in the sheet conveyance path S are rotated, and the recorded sheet output from the fixing device 8 shown in FIG. The sheet is discharged to the upper discharge stack device 9. On the other hand, when performing jam processing, parts replacement, etc., the upper cover 1 is separated from the fixed magnetic body 4 against the attractive force of the magnet 3 and opened upward, and then the external operation lever 6 shown in FIG. The hook member 5 is unlocked as shown by a dotted line by rotating in the clockwise direction in the figure, and then the lower cover 2 is opened downward and outward to open the sheet conveying path S as shown in FIG. It was.
[0007]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
By the way, conventionally, in a relatively large sheet conveying apparatus, as shown in FIG. 12, for example, the sheet passing through the sheet conveying path S does not enter the gap d between the lower cover 2 and the upper cover 1. In addition to providing the inclined surface 1b, the guide plate 2a of the lower cover 2 is extended upward to provide the protruding portion 2b.
[0008]
Because of this configuration, when the upper and lower covers 1 and 2 are closed, if the hook member 5 is removed and the lower cover 2 is opened first, the guide plate 2a is attached to the closed upper cover 1. The protrusion 2b hits, and the lower cover 2 leans against the upper cover 1 in the unlocked state. Thereafter, when the upper cover 1 is opened, the lower cover 2 is opened so as to drop suddenly. At that time, since the lower cover 2 is relatively large, if it suddenly opens, it may collide with a nearby object or person, and an unexpected situation may occur in which the object is damaged or a person is damaged.
[0009]
Further, when the user does not notice that the hook member 5 is released and the lower cover 2 is not locked, and the sheet is discharged in the unlocked state, the sheet is likely to jam in the sheet conveyance path S. There was also.
[0010]
Accordingly, an object of the present invention is to open the lower cover when the upper cover is closed in the sheet conveying apparatus that covers the outside of the vertical sheet conveying path with the lower cover and the upper cover that can be opened and closed as described above. Thus, it is possible to prevent occurrence of an unexpected situation and to prevent a jam from occurring in the sheet conveyance path.
[0011]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
Therefore, the invention according to claim 1, for example, as shown in the following embodiments, cover the outside of the sheet conveying path 50 in the vertical direction by the lower cover 25 and upper cover 30, upper and their lower cover 25 In order to prevent a sheet passing through the sheet conveying path 50 from entering the gap with the cover 30, the lower cover 25 is provided with a projecting portion 23 a extending upward, and the upper cover 30 is disposed on an upper portion such as the upper support shaft A. In the sheet conveying apparatus 20 that opens upward and outward about the fulcrum and opens the sheet conveying path by opening the lower cover 25 downward and outward about the lower fulcrum such as the lower support shaft B, the lower cover 25 Locking means such as a hook member 40 that can be operated to release the external lock that locks in a closed state, and the unlocking operation of the locking means when the upper cover 30 is closed Unlocking restricting means, and as the unlocking restricting means, when the unlocking operation is performed on the locking means with the upper cover 30 closed, the unlocking operation of the locking means abuts against the upper cover 30 The abutment members 45 and 56 for regulating the abutment are provided, and the abutment members 45 and 56 are provided integrally or fixed to the lock means.
[0012]
Then, for example, during jam processing, if the lock means is externally unlocked and the lower cover 25 is opened first with the upper cover 30 closed, the lock release restricting means operates to restrict the unlocking operation of the lock means. The lower cover 25 is kept closed.
[0014]
That is, when the lower cover 25 is to be opened with the upper cover 30 closed, the abutting members 45 and 56 come into contact with the upper cover 30 to restrict the unlocking operation of the locking means.
[0015]
According to the second aspect of the present invention, in the sheet conveying apparatus 20 according to the first aspect, for example, as in the embodiment shown in FIG. consisting includes a hook member 40, 55 for locking in a closed state the lower cover 25 Te, characterized in that.

[0019]
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings.
FIG. 3 is a schematic configuration diagram of the laser printer.
[0020]
Reference numeral 10 in the figure denotes the main body of the printer. The apparatus main body 10 is placed on a box-shaped paper feed table 11. For example, a plurality of sheets P wound in rolls of different sizes are stored in the paper feed tray 11.
[0021]
At the time of recording, one of the sheets P is selected and fed out, fed into the main body passage 13 through the paper feeding path 12, and timed by the registration roller 14 under the drum-shaped photosensitive member 15 in the center of the apparatus main body 10. To the side. On the other hand, the surface of the photoconductor 15 is uniformly charged along with its rotation, optical writing is performed on the surface to form an electrostatic latent image, the latent image is developed, and the visible image is then transferred onto the sheet. Transcript to. After the image transfer, the sheet is conveyed to the fixing device 16 and the image on the sheet is fixed by the fixing device 16. The sheet is appropriately cut to a length by a cutter 17 provided in the middle of the sheet feeding path 12.
[0022]
The sheet exiting the fixing device 16 is conveyed in the direction of arrow a or b by the sheet conveying device 20 according to the present invention . Accordingly, the sheet proceeds straight as it is and is discharged from the lateral first outlet 18 onto the sheet discharge tray (not shown) with the recording surface facing up, or conveyed through the vertical sheet conveying path 50, with the recording surface facing down. Then, the paper is discharged from the lateral second outlet 50a to the paper discharge stack device 19.
[0023]
Incidentally, as shown in FIG. 2, the sheet conveying apparatus 20 includes a lower cover 25 and an upper cover 30 outside the sheet conveying path 50 (left side in the figure), and the upper cover 30 is centered on the upper support shaft A. The lower cover 25 is supported by the lower support shaft B so as to be openable and closable.
[0024]
The lower cover 25 is provided with an exterior cover portion 25a, and a switching claw 21 is provided at a branch position between the first outlet 18 and the sheet conveyance path 50 in the exterior cover portion 25a so as to be rotatable about the support shaft 21a. A lateral guide plate 22 that guides the sheet from the inlet 50 b of the sheet conveyance path 50 to the first outlet 18 is provided on the lower side. Further, a vertical guide plate 23 that covers the outer side of the sheet conveying path 50 is provided on the upper side of the switching claw 21. Further, the upper cover 30 is also provided with a vertical guide plate 24 that covers the outer side of the sheet conveying path 50 on the exterior cover portion 30a.
[0025]
On the other hand, a lower guide plate 28 and an upper guide plate 29 covering the inner side of the sheet conveyance path 50 are provided. The lower guide plate 28 and the lateral guide plate 22 support a pair of transport rollers 31, and the upper guide plate 29 and the vertical guide plate 24 support a plurality of pairs of transport rollers 32 to 34.
[0026]
Thus, the sheet conveying device 20 rotates the conveying rollers 31 to 34 during recording, conveys a recorded sheet that exits from the outlet 16a of the fixing device 16 and enters through the inlet 50b through the sheet conveying path 50, 2 is discharged from the outlet 50a to the discharge stack device 19. When the recorded sheet is discharged onto the sheet discharge tray, the switching claw 21 is rotated counterclockwise in FIG. 2 to switch the conveyance direction, and the recorded sheet entering from the inlet 50b is fed to the first outlet 18. Transport.
[0027]
In more detail, the sheet conveying apparatus 20 includes a mechanism that locks the upper and lower covers 30 and 25 in a closed state on both sides in the depth direction of the sheet conveying path 50 (outside the sheet conveying area).
[0028]
That is, as shown in FIG. 1, a magnetic receiving member 36 that is convex toward the sheet conveyance path 50 is attached to the upper guide plate 29. On the other hand, the exterior cover portion 30a of the upper cover 30 is provided with an attachment projection 30b at a position facing the receiving member 36 when the upper cover 30 is closed, and a magnet 38 is attached to the tip surface of the attachment projection 30b. . When the upper cover 30 is closed, the receiving member 36 is attracted by the magnet 38 to hold the upper cover 30 in the closed state.
[0029]
In addition, studs 37 are arranged laterally on the lower guide plate 28 on both sides in the depth direction of the sheet conveying path 50, and fixed through mounting brackets (not shown). On the other hand, the outer cover portion 25a of the lower cover 25 urges the rotation shaft 39 provided in the depth direction by a spring to hold both ends thereof. Then, hook members 40 are attached to both ends of the rotation shaft 39 so as to be rotatable counterclockwise in FIG. The hook member 40 is in the form of a long plate, and is provided with a notch recess 40a at the tip thereof. When the lower cover 25 is closed, the stud 37 is inserted into the notch recess 40a by a spring biasing force and is latched on the stud 37. The lower cover 25 is locked in the closed state.
[0030]
Further, the abutting members 45 are attached to both ends of the rotation shaft 39. The abutting member 45 is formed in an L shape by bending the tip end side of the plate-like attachment piece 45b substantially at a right angle, and a contact portion 45a is formed on the tip end side. When the upper and lower covers 30 and 25 are in a closed state, the base end of the attachment piece 45 b is screwed to the milling surface of the rotating shaft 39 so that the contact portion 45 a is close to the upper cover 30.
[0031]
Furthermore, the rotation shaft 39 is formed by screwing one end of the external operation lever 41 to the milling surfaces at both ends thereof. The external operation lever 41 is folded at the other end to form a handle 41a, and the hook member 40 can be rotated by holding the handle 41a.
[0032]
The sheet conveying device 20 described above is provided with an inclined surface 24a on the lower end side of the vertical guide plate 24 of the upper cover 30, while providing a protruding portion 23a by extending the vertical guide plate 23 of the lower cover 25 upward. The sheet passing through the conveyance path 50 is prevented from entering the gap t between the lower cover 25 and the upper cover 30.
[0033]
In the sheet conveying device 20 described above, for example, when jamming is performed in the sheet conveying path 50 or parts of the fixing device 16 are replaced, the upper and lower covers 30 and 25 are opened to open the sheet conveying path 50.
[0034]
In that case, as shown in FIG. 4, first, the upper cover 30 is opened apart from the receiving member 36 against the attractive force of the magnet 38. Thereafter, the external operation lever 41 is rotated in the clockwise direction in the drawing while holding the handle 41a. At this time, since the upper cover 30 is opened, there is no obstacle above the abutting member 45. Therefore, when the external operation lever 41 is rotated, the hook member 40 is rotated and detached from the stud 37. The locked state is released. As a result, after the upper cover 30 is opened, the lower cover 25 can be further opened to open the sheet conveying path 50 as shown in FIG.
[0035]
By the way, when the sheet conveyance path 50 is opened as described above, when the upper cover 30 is closed and the external operation lever 41 is rotated to open the lower cover 25 first, FIG. As shown, the abutting portion 45a of the abutting member 45 abuts against the upper cover 30 to restrict the hook member 40 from being removed from the stud 37, so that the lower cover 25 is not opened.
[0036]
Now, in this invention, for example the member 45 butting the above-mentioned hook member 40 may be configured to provided integrally.
[0037]
For example, as shown in FIG. 6, formed integrally with part member 56 abutting the hook member 55 by bending a single plate material. The abutment screwed the lower end of the vertically elongated mounting portion 56a of the section member 56 to the rotating shaft 39, the hook member 55 and the abutment part material 56 to the structure provided in the same position on the rotating shaft 39.
[0038]
Further, in the case of claim 3, for example, the abutting member 45 may be fixed to the separate hook member 40 by screwing or the like, and they may be integrated and attached to the rotating shaft 39.
[0039]
Next, in this invention, the abutment member 45 as described above, the distance between the upper cover 30 may be a movably provided configured to adjust.
[0040]
For example, as shown in FIG. 7, the hook member 40 is formed integrally with a horizontally long latching portion 40b having a notched recess 40a by bending a single plate material and a vertically long mounting portion 40c. The mounting portion 40c is provided with screw holes 59 and 59 near the upper end in the drawing. On the other hand, the abutting member 45 is provided with a long hole 60 in the vertically long mounting portion 45b, and when the abutting member 45 is screwed to the hook member 40 using screws 61 and 61, the abutting member 45 is moved. Thus, the mounting position can be adjusted.
[0041]
Then, as shown in FIG. 8, the hook member 40 is screwed to the rotation shaft 39, the abutting member 45 is attached to the hook member 40, and the screws 61 and 61 are brought into contact with the upper cover 30 at the contact portion 45a. It is screwed by.
[0042]
If the distance x needs to be adjusted later, for example, a screwdriver is inserted from the notch of the exterior cover portion 25a to loosen the screws 61 and 61 and support the abutting member 45. The distance x between the contact portion 45a and the upper cover 30 is adjusted by appropriately moving in the m direction. After adjusting the distance, the abutting member 45 is fastened to the hook member 40 with screws 61 and 61.
[0043]
The distance x is preferably x = 0. In this case, the position of the upper support shaft A is set to the lower end inside position e of the outer cover part 30a so as not to hinder the opening and closing of the upper cover 30. More preferably, it should be provided inside the n direction indicated by the arrow in FIG. 8 as much as possible.
[0044]
By the way, in embodiment mentioned above, the latch release of the hook member 40 was controlled by abutting the abutting member 45 on the upper cover 30 in the closed state. However, the latch release of the hook member 40 can be similarly restricted by the configuration shown below.
[0045]
For example, as shown in FIG. 9, an open / close detection sensor 65 that detects the open / close of the upper cover 30 is installed outside the sheet conveyance area of the upper guide plate 29. The detection sensor 65 includes a switch 65a that is always spring-biased outward. When the upper cover 30 is in a closed state, the switch 65a is pushed off by a protrusion 68 provided on the exterior cover 30a, and the upper cover 30 is opened. When the pressing is released, it is turned on and it is detected that the upper cover 30 is opened. On the other hand, inside the lower guide plate 28, a regulating lever 66 is supported so as to be rotatable about a support shaft 66a, and one end thereof is connected to an operating rod 67a of a solenoid 67. When the switch 65a is off, the operating rod 67a is sucked and the other end of the regulating lever 66 is pressed against the hook member 40, and the hook member 40 is prevented from coming off from the stud 37 and the lower cover 25 is closed. Lock it.
[0046]
Then, as shown in FIG. 10, when the upper cover 30 is opened, when the switch 65a is turned on, the excitation of the solenoid 67 is released. Accordingly, the external operation lever 41 is rotated to rotate the regulating lever 66 counterclockwise in the figure, and the hook member 40 is released and the lower cover 25 is unlocked.
[0047]
【The invention's effect】
Therefore, according to the first and second aspects of the present invention, even if the lock means is externally unlocked and the lower cover is opened first with the upper cover closed, the lock release restricting means operates and the lock means Since the lower cover is prevented from opening when the upper cover is closed by restricting the unlocking operation of the upper cover, the lower cover leaning on it suddenly opens when the upper cover is opened as in the past. Can be prevented from occurring. Further, it is possible to prevent the sheet from being discharged in the unlocked state of the lower cover, thereby preventing an adverse effect of jamming of the sheet passing through the sheet conveyance path.
[0048]
In addition, by providing the abutting member integrally or fixedly on the locking means , both members are provided at the same position without interposing other members between them, so that the influence of twisting of other members, mounting errors, etc. As a result, the accuracy of the relative position of the locking means and the abutting member can be increased. Further, it can be reduced the space required to provide their members, it is also possible to reduce component costs.
[0049]
According to the third aspect of the present invention, since the abutting member is provided so as to be movable so that the distance between the abutting member and the upper cover can be adjusted, the abutting member and the upper cover that are generated due to dimensional tolerance or distortion of the parts are provided. The variation in spacing can be reduced, and as a result, the hook member can be more reliably prevented from being detached by the abutting member.
