This invention
An input disk driven by an input shaft, an output disk disposed opposite to the input disk and connected to an output shaft, and disposed between the input disk and the output disk so as to rotate the input disk steplessly A tiltable power roller that shifts and transmits it to the output disk, a trunnion that rotatably supports the power roller and is displaceable in the tilt axis direction of the power roller, and the trunnion in the tilt axis direction The power roller includes a roller body that transmits the rotation of the input disk to the output disk, and is rotatably supported by the trunnion via a first bearing, and the roller body is a second roller. A support shaft that is rotatably supported via a bearing, and a back plate that is supported via a third bearing with respect to the trunnion And consists rolling elements interposed between the roller body and the back plate, The rolling element constitutes a thrust bearing together with the roller body and the back plate, The support shaft Before Integrated with back plate Molding The present invention relates to a toroidal-type continuously variable transmission.
[0017]
Since the toroidal continuously variable transmission according to the present invention is configured as described above, it operates as follows. That is, the power roller is rotatably supported by the trunnion via a roller body that transmits the rotation of the input disk to the output disk and the first bearing, and is also rotatably supported by the second bearing. And a back plate supported via a third bearing with respect to the trunnion, and a rolling element interposed between the roller body and the back plate. Since the support shaft is integrally formed with the back plate, the two can be reliably integrated without worrying about loosening at the mating part as in the case of fitting a separately manufactured one. . Since the rolling element constitutes a thrust bearing together with the roller body and the back plate, The back plate is used when the toroidal continuously variable transmission is operating. Generated in thrust bearings It does not tilt because it is pushed in the axial direction of the support shaft by a strong thrust force. In thrust bearings, the pressing force that acts on the back plate from the rolling elements is almost the thrust force. As a result, the back plate can be efficiently pressed toward the trunnion. Integrated with the back plate ing Support shaft Is Tilting against the lanions The Suppression can do . Also, in thrust bearings, the radial component of the pressing force is small and the moment to tilt the support shaft can be reduced, so the movement to tilt the support shaft with respect to the trunnion is more effectively suppressed. can do. As a result, the amount of displacement of the rotation center of the roller body in the direction of the tilt axis is suppressed to the extent of the clearance existing in the radial direction of the first and second bearings.
[0018]
In this toroidal-type continuously variable transmission, the support shaft is integrated with the back plate by being fitted into the back plate. can do . In other words, the support shaft and the back plate are integrated separately, and are mechanically connected by tight fitting. The Hiring can do .
[0019]
In addition, when the support shaft is fitted into the back plate in a tight fit state, a snap ring attached to the support shaft is brought into contact with a receiving surface facing the roller body of the back plate. This is possible According Riba Integration of the back plate and support shaft The Strengthen can do . As for the fitting by the tight fit between the support shaft and the back plate due to the fitting, there is no possibility that the fitting position is displaced due to the long-term use of the toroidal continuously variable transmission. Therefore, if the snap ring attached to the support shaft is regulated so that the fitting position between the back plate and the support shaft does not shift, the toroidal continuously variable transmission can be used safely over a long period of time. .
[0020]
Furthermore, in this toroidal type continuously variable transmission, the first bearing and the second bearing are needle bearings. Since the needle bearing is crowned so that the end of the needle does not generate a high surface pressure against the raceway, it causes the inclination of the support shaft. However, according to the toroidal continuously variable transmission according to the present invention, The rolling element constitutes a thrust bearing together with the roller body and the back plate. Since the back plate is integrated with the support shaft, the tilt of the support shaft due to the crowning of the first bearing and the second bearing made of needle bearings can be suppressed as much as possible.

【The invention's effect】
Since the toroidal type continuously variable transmission according to the present invention is configured as described above, the following effects can be obtained. That is, in the toroidal-type continuously variable transmission according to the present invention, the back plate is not tilted because it is pushed in the axial direction of the support shaft by a strong thrust force when the toroidal-type continuously variable transmission is operating. The support shaft integrated with the back plate is also prevented from tilting with respect to the trunnion. In addition, since the radial component of the pressing force is small and the moment for tilting the support shaft can be reduced, the movement of tilting the support shaft with respect to the trunnion can be more effectively suppressed. Therefore, the amount of displacement of the rotation center of the roller body in the direction of the tilting axis is suppressed to the extent of the clearance existing in the radial direction of the first and second bearings. In the driving state, the position of the trunnion at the rotation center of the power roller in the tilting axis direction hardly changes, and the change from the target gear ratio is small. In addition, the gear ratio becomes unstable and does not give the driver a sense of incongruity during light load operation where the torque changes dynamically or when the operation state is switched between drive operation and coast operation. The gear ratio can be maintained stably.
