AND回路24は、
【0018】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a charge reuse type signal line charge / discharge circuit, and more particularly to a charge reuse type signal line charge / discharge circuit for realizing low energy operation by performing charge reuse in a signal line charge / discharge circuit. .
[0002]
[Prior art]
FIG. 8 shows a known charge / discharge operation of a CMOS logic signal line. In the same figure, the example which charges / discharges using a CMOS inverter is shown, A1-A8 has shown the example of output data. In the same figure, waveforms at “10111000” are shown as A1, A2, A3, A4, A5, A6, A7, and A8.
Next, FIG. 9 shows an example in which this charge / discharge operation is performed using a charge reusable power source. FIG. 10 shows a circuit for realizing the operation of FIG. In the circuit shown in FIG. 10, when the data is “1”, I1 = 1 and the power clock PCK from the charge reusable power supply is connected to the output terminal OUT. When the data is “0”, I1 = 0 and GND is connected to the output terminal OUT.
[0003]
In the adiabatic logic, there is an advantage that power consumption can be reduced in order to collect the charged charge again (see Non-Patent

[0005]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, when the data activation rate is very small, CMOS logic does not consume energy because it does not change the state, whereas conventional adiabatic logic uses CMOS logic when “1” continues. However, as shown in FIG. 9, there is a problem that energy is consumed to a slight extent in order to perform charging and discharging.
[0006]
The present invention has been made in view of the above points, and an object of the present invention is to provide a charge reusable signal line charge / discharge circuit capable of maintaining the same activity rate as in the case of CMOS logic.
[0007]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
FIG. 1 is a principle configuration diagram of the present invention.
[0008]
The present invention is a charge reuse type signal line charge / discharge circuit that performs low energy operation by performing charge reuse,
A ground power supply GND;
Power supply voltage VCC;
Power clock PCK,
A clock CK having a period that is 1/2 that of the power clock PCK, and the power clock PCK,
A first transistor connected to the ground power supply GND and the output terminal OUT;
A second transistor connected to the power supply voltage VCC and the output terminal OUT;
A third transistor connected to the power lock PCK and the output terminal;
Have
Storing the value of the data of one clock before the time of the input current data value and the clock CK signal,
In the region immediately before the rising or falling edge of the power clock PCK signal, if the current data value is different from the data value at the time one clock before , the third transistor is turned on, and the power clock PCK and output are output. Terminal OUT is connected,
In the region immediately before the rising or falling edge of the power clock PCK signal, when the current data value is equal to the data value at the time one clock before and is “0” , the first transistor is turned on. The ground power supply GND and the output terminal OUT are connected,
In the area immediately before the rising or falling edge of the power clock PCK signal, if the current data value is equal to the data value at the time one clock before and is “1” , the second transistor is turned on. The power supply voltage VCC and the output terminal OUT are connected.
[0009]
The first, second, and third transistors have I3, I2, and I1 input signals, and the I3, I2, and I1 signals are generated by the input signal generation means 10.
[0010]
The input signal generating means 10 of the present invention is composed of a D-FF (D Philip flop) and a combinational logic circuit.
[0011]
As described above, in the present invention, an input signal to the gate of each transistor is generated based on data. Thereby, in the signal line charging / discharging circuit, the signal of the power clock PCK and the output terminal OUT are connected only when the data changes, so when the data of “11” continues, There is no need to perform the operation of lowering the PCK voltage and then raising it again.
[0012]
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings.
[0013]

In FIG. 3, the current data is D1, and the previous data is D2. When the values of D1 and D2 are “10” or “01”, the states of I1, I2, and I3 are set to “100”, and only the output terminal OUT and the power clock PCK are connected. When the values of D1 and D2 are “11”, the states of I1, I2 and I3 are set to “010”, and only the output terminal OUT and the power supply voltage VCC are connected. When the values of D1 and D2 are “00”, the states of I1, I2 and I3 are set to “001”, and only the output terminal OUT and the ground voltage GND are connected.
[0020]
FIG. 5 is a diagram for explaining the operation in one embodiment of the present invention.
[0021]
Hereinafter, the operation will be described in detail with reference to FIG. In the following, a case where a signal “10111000” is output will be considered. It is assumed that the signal line is at the ground voltage GND potential in the initial state, and therefore the initial data is “0”.
[0022]
First, the operation of region A will be described. Since data “1” is transmitted, D1 = 1, and since the previous data is in the initial state “0”, D2 = 0, and D1D2 becomes “10”. I1 = 1, the output terminal OUT is connected to the power clock PCK, and the output voltage rises in synchronization with PCK.
[0023]
Next, the operation of region B will be described. Since data “0” is transmitted, D1 = 0 and the previous data is “1”, so D2 = 1, so D1D2 becomes “01”, and therefore I1 = 1. The output is connected to the power clock PCK, and the output voltage drops in synchronization with the PCK.
[0024]
In the area C, since data “1” is transmitted, D1D2 becomes “10”, so that I1 = 1, the output is connected to the power clock PCK, and the output voltage rises in synchronization with the power clock PCK.
[0025]
In the region D, since data “1” is transmitted, D1D2 becomes “11”, I2 = 1, the output terminal OUT and the power supply voltage VCC are connected, and the output voltage holds VCC.
[0026]
In area G, the previous data is “0”, and currently “0” data is transmitted, so D1D2 becomes “00”, I3 = 1, and the output terminal OUT and the ground voltage GND are connected. The output voltage is held at GND.
[0027]
FIG. 6 shows an operation example when different data is transmitted in the embodiment of the present invention. This figure shows a case where different data “1010001” is transmitted, but data can be transferred in the same manner as in FIG.
[0028]
As described above, according to the present invention, since the PCK signal and the output terminal OUT are connected only when data changes, when “1” continues like “11”, There is an advantage that it is not necessary to lower the PCK voltage and then increase it.
[0029]
In the above-described embodiment, an example in which the D-FF is used as the input signal generation unit has been described. However, the present invention is not limited to this circuit.
[0030]
The comparison between the conventional method and the present invention will be described below.
[0031]
In the conventional method, in the case of the data “10111000”, as shown in FIG. 9, it is necessary to charge / discharge only the number of times “1” appears (in this case, 4 times). It is possible to maintain the same activity rate as in. In FIG. 5, the number of times of change from “0” to “1” is two. Therefore, as shown in FIG. 7, it turns out that power consumption becomes 1/2.
[0032]
In addition, it can be seen from FIG. 5 that the present invention only needs to use PCK, which is 1/2 times slower than the conventional circuit shown in FIG. 9, and the charge can be collected more efficiently. is there.
[0033]
The present invention is not limited to the above-described embodiment, and various modifications and applications can be made within the scope of the claims.
[0034]
【The invention's effect】
As described above, according to the present invention, since the signal of the power clock PCK and the output terminal are connected only when the input data from the outside changes, when “1” of “11” continues. However, it is not necessary to lower the power clock voltage and then increase it again, and power consumption can be reduced. As a result, the same activity rate as in the case of CMOS logic can be maintained.
