Description
【0001】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a pod propeller that is a marine vessel propulsion device, and more particularly to a pod propeller that improves propulsion efficiency.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Conventionally, ships are generally equipped with a propeller and rudder on the stern, and propellers generate propulsion and steer the ship with a rudder. However, in recent years, ships using pod propellers have increased. .

FIG. 5 is a drawing showing a conventional general pod propeller, where (a) is a side view of the pod propeller, (b) is a side view of the pod propeller only, (c) is a front view of the pod propeller, (d) is an AA arrow view shown in (b). In the illustrated

Therefore, in this type of prior art, a stator fin is provided in the pod front side on the posterior side of the propeller, and the flow that flows out of the propeller by the stator fin is rotated in the direction opposite to the propeller rotation direction, and is generated by the propeller. The propulsive force is increased by reducing the rotation in the wake (see, for example, Patent Document 1).
[0007]
In another prior art, a plurality of fins are provided on a boss cap of a screw propeller, and the wake of the propeller is rectified with these fins to improve propulsion device efficiency (see, for example, Patent Document 2).

[Means for Solving the Problems]
Therefore, in order to solve the above problems, the present invention provides a pod provided at the lower end of the strut which is provided downward from the hull, the propeller is arranged on the bow side of the pod, definitive the rear end of the pod An airfoil cross section that generates forward thrust by preventing the swirling flow of the wake of the propeller from concentrating at the pod rear end so as to include the pod rear end in the range from the rear end of the strut in the pod axial direction to the rear. These fins are provided in the axial direction, and the fins of the airfoil cross section are formed at such a height that the tips in the radial direction are within a circle of approximately 90 % of the diameter of the propeller . Thus, by providing fins with airfoil cross sections at the rear end of the pod, the swirling flow generated by the propeller of the pod propeller is prevented from concentrating at the rear end of the pod, and this swirling flow is It is possible to generate a propulsive force by flowing along the sway, collect the turning energy, and improve the propulsion efficiency. In addition, this can contribute to energy saving.
[0014]
In addition, since the fin is formed at a height at which the tip fits within a circle that is approximately 90% of the diameter of the propeller, the fin is substantially positioned within the range in which the wake of the propeller is contracted, and from the swirling flow The swirling energy can be recovered efficiently.
[0015]
Moreover, the fins, since the form in length including the pod after the end in the range of the strut trailing edge of the pod axis direction of the rear, to prevent the swirling flow in the pod rear portion is concentrated effectively The swirling energy can be recovered from the swirling flow, and the swirling flow can be effectively prevented from concentrating on the rear end of the pod with a compact fin.
[0017]
In addition, if the fin of the airfoil cross section is provided at least vertically below the pod, the lower fin is on the opposite side so as to oppose the swirling flow force received on one side of the strut by the swirling flow of the propeller. Since the swirl force is received from the side, the lateral force acting by the swirl flow at the upper and lower positions of the pod can be canceled to prevent the lateral force from acting on the pod propeller.
[0018]
In addition, if the fins of the airfoil cross section are arranged at symmetrical positions with respect to the vertical axis of the pod propeller, a plurality of fins are arranged so as to collect the turning energy in a balanced manner at the left and right positions of the pod. Efficient prevention of swirling flow concentration and swirling energy recovery.
[0019]
Furthermore, if a camber that imparts reverse rotation to the wake of the propeller is attached to the fin of the airfoil cross section, the swirl component can be reduced from the swirl flow, and more lift can be generated. Can be recovered.
