Description
【0001】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a workpiece holding device for holding a workpiece which is an object to be welded when welding is performed by an automatic assembly device, for example, a welding robot.
[0002]
[Prior art]
2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, in an automatic assembling apparatus, for example, an automatic welding apparatus, a workpiece that is an object to be welded is held by a holding device, and welding at a predetermined location is automatically performed by a welding robot.
At the time of this welding, for example, when it is necessary to weld a predetermined portion around the workpiece, the rotary table that holds the workpiece provided on the holding device side is rotated by a predetermined angle so that, for example, downward welding can be performed. As described above, the welding location is always positioned on the upper side.
[0003]
By the way, this type of holding device is operated in conjunction with the welding robot. Specifically, the control data of the rotary table on the holding device side is also input to the operation program of the welding robot, Therefore, the welding robot side and the holding device side are connected to each other by a large number of control lines.
[0004]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
As described above, it is necessary to lay a large number of control lines between the welding robot side and the holding device side. Therefore, the laying work is very troublesome. For example, when changing the holding device, There is a problem that it is necessary to redo the wiring of the control line, and when the model of the holding device is changed, the operation program must be changed.
[0005]
Accordingly, an object of the present invention is to provide a work holding device that can eliminate the need for wiring of control lines and can eliminate the need for changing the operation program on the automatic assembly device side even when the holding device is changed. .
[0006]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to solve the above-described problems, the workpiece holding device of the present invention holds a workpiece and can control the rotation posture around a predetermined axis when the workpiece is assembled by the operation member of the automatic assembly device. The apparatus body is provided with a workpiece holding body that is rotatable around a predetermined axis by a rotation driving device, and a plurality of detectors that detect the approach or contact of the operation member. By providing a detection signal from each detector and controlling the rotation driving device, a control unit is provided for rotating the holding body at a predetermined angle set according to each detector , and further each of the detectors Are arranged in each hole formed on the apparatus main body side, and an optical sensor is used as each detector in the above configuration .
[0007]
According to the above configuration, a plurality of detectors that can detect the operation member on the automatic assembly device side are arranged on the holding device side, and the holding body that holds the workpiece is detected by the detection signal from the detector. Since the rotation is performed at a predetermined angle that is set in accordance with the automatic assembly device and the holding device, for example, there is no need for mutual wiring of control lines, compared with the case where the automatic assembly device and the holding device are interlocked. The installation work can be facilitated, and the installation cost can be reduced.
[0008]
In addition, since the control on the automatic assembly device side and the holding device side is not linked, there is no need to input the control data on the holding device side to the operation program on the automatic assembly device side, so the operation program is created by teaching The teaching work can be easily performed.
[0009]
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
Hereinafter, a work holding device in an automatic assembling apparatus according to an embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to FIGS.
In the present embodiment, a case where the automatic assembly apparatus is applied to a welding robot will be described.

In other words, when it is necessary to change the work posture to the workpiece, an instruction to that effect can be given to the electric motor on the holding device side by the operation operation on the welding robot side, and the welding robot and the holding robot can be held as before. Since there is no need for the wiring work (laying work) of the control lines compared to the one that is linked with the equipment, the installation work of the welding robot can be facilitated and the installation cost can be reduced. As for the layout, the degree of freedom is widened, and further installation work can be facilitated.
[0018]
In addition, since the control between the welding robot side and the holding device side is not linked, there is no need to input the control data on the holding device side to the operation program on the welding robot side, so when creating the operation program by teaching Teaching work can be performed very easily.
In addition, since the holding device is not connected to the welding robot side with a control line or the like, as long as space is allowed, three or more holding devices can be arranged, and even if the model of the holding device is changed It suffices if a sensor for indicating the rotation angle is arranged, and therefore it is not necessary to change the operation program. For example, as in the prior art, when they are connected to each other by a control line, the two units are the limit in that the control is linked, and when the model of the holding device is changed, Reworking of the operation program is also required.
[0019]
Further, when there is an abnormality in the operation on the holding device side, in the conventional case, it cannot be determined whether there is a problem in the control device or operation program on the welding robot side or on the holding device side. As described above, since the holding device is separated from the welding robot side, there is an advantage that when the operation is strange, it is clearly understood that the cause is on the holding device side.

[0022]
In the above embodiment, the optical sensor is used to detect the welding torch. However, for example, a non-contact type sensor such as a proximity sensor and a contact type sensor such as a touch sensor can also be used .
[0023]
Moreover, in the said embodiment, although the case where it applied to the welding operation | work by a welding robot was demonstrated, this holding device can be applied also to assembly operations other than welding.
In the above embodiment, the case where eight optical sensors are arranged has been described. However, according to the increase / decrease in the number of welding locations in the workpiece, the number of optical sensors can be increased / decreased as appropriate, and the rotation thereof The posture angle can also be set to an arbitrary angle other than an equal angle.
[0024]
Furthermore, in the above embodiment, the electric motor is used as the rotation driving device that rotates the holding plate. However, for example, a mechanism that drives the pinion by moving the rack by a cylinder device or the like can also be used. .
[0025]
【The invention's effect】
As described above, according to the configuration of the present invention, a plurality of detectors that can detect the operation member on the automatic assembly device side are arranged on the holding device side, and the workpiece is held by the detection signal from the detector. Since the body is rotated at a predetermined angle set according to the detector, for example, it is not necessary to wire the control lines of each other as compared with the case where the automatic assembly device and the holding device are interlocked. Further, the installation work of the automatic assembly apparatus can be facilitated, and the installation cost can be reduced.
[0026]
In addition, since the control on the automatic assembly device side and the holding device side is not linked, there is no need to input the control data on the holding device side to the operation program on the automatic assembly device side, so the operation program is created by teaching The teaching work can be easily performed.
