本発明は、上記した従来の技術が有するこのような問題点に鑑みてなされたもので、二個の個別の光ファイバコネクタが各嵌合されるよう二分割して二個のハウジングを形成し、該両ハウジングの対向部に、二分割した二個のツマミを横移動自在に嵌合すると共に、前記両ツマミを互いに上下移動自在に係合して構成することにより、二個一対の光ファイバコネクタを、平行状態にて上下左右に移動でき、特に上下方向の移動範囲が極めて大きいため、レセプタクルと一対の光ファイバコネクタとの大きな接合ずれに対して対応でき、無理な接合を強いられることがなく、接合の確実性と安定性を向上できると共に、組み立てが容易である光ファイバコネクタのアダプタを提供することを目的とする。

図1ないし図3及び図5並びに図6に示したように、上記一対のハウジング1、2における光プラグ挿入部10、11の頂壁10a、11aと底壁10c、11cとに、各ハウジング1、2の長さ方向へ設けた長穴12b、13bと、該長穴12b、13bの中間部から既述した各開口部10d、11dまで長く設けた横長穴12c、13cとでT字型穴12a、13aを形成し、一方、上記ツマミ3、4の頂壁3a、4aと底壁3d、4dとの内面には、ハウジング1、2の長さ方向へ長く設けた突起12e、13eと、横長突起12f、13fとからなるT字型突起12d、13dを、上記各T字型穴12a、13aと対応して形成し、上記したように、各ツマミ3、4を上記各光プラグ挿入部10、11に、その開口部10d、11d側から押し込み嵌合することで、上記各T字型穴12a、13aに上記各T字型突起12d、13dが嵌合するよう形成させてある。
