Description
【0001】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a paper feeding device that separates and feeds a plurality of sheets by a frictional force, and more particularly to a paper feeding device that employs a friction pad separation system.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Conventionally, in a paper feeding device used in a copying machine or the like, a separation method using a frictional force is used to feed sheets one by one. A typical separation method is called a friction pad method. In this method, sheets between a paper feed roller and a friction pad such as a rubber cork are separated one by one using a difference in friction coefficient.

[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, in the system in which the sheet is sandwiched between the sheet feeding roller and each pad, the sheet has to be sandwiched after use, which is very troublesome and consumes the sheet wastefully.
[0008]
Further, in the technique disclosed in Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 2001-130768, a solenoid is used for releasing the separating means, so that electric control is required, the mechanical configuration becomes complicated, and the apparatus becomes large. .
[0009]
Furthermore, the technique disclosed in Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2000-25966 has a problem that when the apparatus is not used, the sheet feeding base must be pulled out, and the packaging at the time of factory shipment becomes large.
[0010]
Furthermore, the technique disclosed in Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 2001-2263 has a problem that the separation unit cannot be released when the sheet is not being conveyed.
[0011]
In view of the above-described conventional problems, the present invention provides a paper feeding device that can form a stable image without a deterioration of the separation pad and the paper feeding roller when the device is not used, has a simple configuration, and saves space. Objective.

【The invention's effect】
As described above, the sheet feeder according to the first aspect is supported by the apparatus main body so as to be rotatable, and is capable of stacking a plurality of sheets, and contacts the sheets stacked on the sheet feeder. It has a paper feed roller that feeds in contact, a separation pad that separates the sheets one by one, and a pad base that holds the separation pad, and feeds the pad base to the front end of the paper feed direction in the sheet conveyance direction. Since an elastic member that abuts and urges the roller is provided, a gap is created between the separation pad and the paper feed roller just by rotating the paper feed table when the apparatus is not used, and the rubber component of the paper feed roller swells or melts. It is very easy to prevent wearing, and it is not necessary to use electrical components such as solenoids, so the machine configuration is simple, the equipment can be downsized, and the paper feed stand is also used at the time of factory shipment. Since it only needs to be rotated, the packaging is reduced in size and sheets are added. Extra work and the like, there is an effect that parts is not required.
