BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a radiator mounting structure for a motorcycle, and more particularly to a radiator mounting structure that is optimal for an off-road motorcycle used in a motocross competition or the like.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Conventionally, radiators for off-road motorcycles used in motocross competitions, etc., are relatively free of downtubes in the body frame so that mud and dirt that are rolled up during running are less likely to adhere and are susceptible to direct cooling air. It is placed at a high position. Among such off-road motorcycles, large type with large displacement has a configuration with a pair of small radiators arranged on the left and right due to restrictions on installation space, and each radiator is attached to both the left and right sides of the down tube. (For example, refer to Patent Document 1).
[0003]
[Patent Document 1]
Japanese Utility Model Publication No. 61-119891 (
[0004]
In the radiator configured as described above, the cooling water that has exited the cylinder head of the engine is introduced into the upper tank at the top of each radiator, radiates heat through the core, and then enters the lower tank at the bottom of each radiator. Each lower tank is connected to a cooling water outlet hose, and these hoses are assembled into one collective hose via a resin or metal Y-shaped or T-shaped joint. Connected to the pump. Thereby, the cooling water is led out from the lower tank to the water pump side, and is circulated again to cool the high-temperature cylinder and the cylinder head.
[0005]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, in recent years, as the height of the engine in the vehicle body has been reduced due to the downsizing of the engine, the cylinder head has been lowered and the position of the exhaust pipe has been lowered, so that the exhaust pipe and the cooling water hose are closer to each other. It was way. As a result, if the cooling water hose swings up and down due to vibration when the vehicle body bounces up and down or sliding (stroke) in the front fork, the cooling water hose is likely to interfere with the exhaust pipe. For this reason, at present, the cooling water hose is restrained so as not to move with a clamp or the like. However, the cost and the number of assembling steps are increased, and the appearance is also inferior. In addition, according to the radiator piping structure, since a Y-shaped or T-shaped joint is used in the middle, a linear portion is required as a clamp mounting portion on the hose to connect to this joint, and the hose as a whole become longer. Thus, when a joint is used and the hose becomes long, a certain amount of installation space is required, which is particularly disadvantageous for an off-road motorcycle in which a radiator mounting structure is desired to be lightweight and compact. Moreover, the increase in attachment parts, such as a joint and a clamp, and an assembly man-hour has also contributed to the cost increase.
[0006]
Accordingly, a first object of the present invention has been made in view of the above problems, and can prevent interference between the exhaust pipe and the cooling water hose with a simpler configuration, and can reduce the number of mounting parts and assembly steps. The object is to provide a radiator mounting structure for a motorcycle that is cost-effective and has an excellent appearance.
The second object of the present invention is to eliminate the need for a joint for a cooling water hose, and to achieve light weight and compactness, and to reduce the number of parts and the number of assembly steps.
[0007]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to achieve the first object, a mounting structure for an engine coolant pipe for a motorcycle according to the present invention includes a radiator supported by a body frame and a front portion of the engine supported by a down tube of the body frame. A pair of brackets are attached to the brackets, and a restraining portion for restraining the movement of the lead-out pipe is formed by contacting the lead-out pipe for leading the cooling water from the radiator to the water pump, and the restraint portions of the pair of brackets are respectively It is a semicircular constraining portion that abuts against the opposite surfaces of the outlet pipe .
[0008]
According to this configuration, it is possible to simultaneously realize the support of the front portion of the engine and the movement restriction of the lead-out pipe only by forming the restraint portion that restrains the movement of the lead-out pipe in the bracket. Since the movement of the outlet pipe can be restrained, interference with the exhaust pipe can be prevented in advance. In addition, since a dedicated mounting part for restraining the movement of the outlet pipe is not necessary, the mounting part and assembly man-hours can be reduced, and the cost can be reduced. Furthermore, since there is no dedicated mounting part, the structure for mounting the outlet pipe is simplified and the appearance is improved.
[0009]
In order to achieve the first and second objects, in a preferred embodiment of the present invention, a pair of the radiators are arranged on the left and right, and the outlet pipe includes a branch pipe portion connected to each of the radiators. It has a collecting pipe part that gathers two branch pipe parts and connects to a water pump, and the whole is formed of a pipe material that is an integrally molded product.
[0010]
According to this configuration, in the pair of left and right radiators having a large cooling capacity, the outlet pipe in which the two branch pipe portions and the collecting pipe portion are integrally formed is used. A joint portion for connecting to the collecting pipe portion is unnecessary, and the number of parts and the number of assembling steps can be reduced.

【The invention's effect】
As described above, according to the mounting structure for the engine coolant pipe of the motorcycle according to the present invention, the restraint portion is formed on the bracket that is attached to the down tube of the vehicle body frame and supports the front portion of the engine. The movement of the derivation pipe can be restrained with a simple configuration in which the derivation pipe is brought into contact with the exhaust pipe, and interference between the derivation pipe and the exhaust pipe can be eliminated. In addition, a dedicated mounting part for restraining the movement of the outlet pipe is not required, so that the mounting part and the number of assembling steps can be reduced, thereby reducing the cost. Furthermore, since the number of attachment parts can be reduced, the structure of the outlet pipe is simplified and the appearance is improved.
