本発明は電子制御装置に関するものである。

防水機能を持った電子制御装置において、ケース内外の圧力差発生の解消方法として、図22に示すように、ケース100の内外を連通する筒部101にフィルタ102を設けることが行われており、このフィルタ102は図23に示すようにケース100の外方から差し込むことにより取り付けられる。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
しかし、上記技術においてはフィルタ102をいたずら等により、取り外されてしまうことがある。その場合、図24に示すように、ケース100の内部への浸水が発生し、ケース内部の電子部品103においてショート等による故障が発生するおそれがある。

本発明はこのような背景の下になされたものであり、その目的は、フィルタが取り外されてしまうのを防止することができる電子制御装置を提供することにある。

【課題を解決するための手段】
請求項1に記載の電子制御装置は、筒部の周囲におけるケースの側面から、フィルタの外周面に沿って、少なくとも人の指が入らない隙間を隔て、かつフィルタを掴めなくする高さの側壁を突設したことを特徴としている。よって、フィルタの周囲に設けた側壁により、指が入らず、また、掴めないため、フィルタが圧入によって取り付けられていたとしても、取り外されてしまうのを防止することができる。

【発明の実施の形態】
(第1の実施の形態)
以下、この発明を具体化した第1の実施の形態を図面に従って説明する。

図1は、本実施形態における車載用電子制御装置(ECU)の斜視図である。図2は、この電子制御装置におけるフィルタ取付部の正面図である。また、図3には、図2のA−A線での縦断面を示す。

本ECUはエンジン制御を行うためのECUであり、自動車(車両)のエンジンルーム内に配置される。
図1において、ECUのケース1は箱形をなし、その内部には、プリント基板(電子回路基板)2が配置されるとともに、この基板2には各種の電子部品3が実装されている。ケース1内は密閉され、防水機能を有する。また、ケース1の内部の機器はコネクタ(図示略)にてワイヤーを介してバッテリー、各種センサ、エンジン制御用アクチュエータが接続され、ECUはセンサ信号にてエンジンの運転状態を検知し各種の演算を実行してインジェクタやイグナイタといったアクチュエータを駆動してエンジンを最適な状態で運転させる。

図1でのケース1における一側面1aがフィルタ取付面となっており、図2はこのフィルタ取付面1aにおける正面図である。図2および図3(図2のA−A断面)において、ケース側面1aにはフィルタ取り付け用ボス4が突出している。フィルタ取り付け用ボス4は円筒形状をなし、ケース1と一体形成されている。円筒形状のボス4の内部はケース1の内外を連通する呼吸穴5となっている。

ボス(筒部)4の先端開口部には呼吸フィルタ(撥水フィルタ)10が装着されている。呼吸フィルタ10は、ゴム製のインナーパイプ11と、繊維材よりなるフィルタ膜12と、プラスチック製の保護キャップ13とからなる。インナーパイプ11の端面にはフィルタ膜12が設置され、インナーパイプ11の先端開口部を塞いでいる。このインナーパイプ11がボス(筒部)4の外周面に圧入されるとともに、インナーパイプ11の外周側においてキャップ13が挿入されている。

このように本ECUは、密閉したケース1内に電子部品3を収納し、ケース1の側面1aから、ケース1の内外を連通させるための筒部4を突設するとともに、この筒部4の先端開口部にキャップ式フィルタ10をケース外方から被せるように取り付けている。そして、このフィルタ10を通して図4に示すように、ケース1の内外で空気が流れることになる。つまり、呼吸穴5およびフィルタ10を通してケース1内の空気の出入りができるとともにフィルタ10のフィルタ膜12により呼吸穴5を通して水やほこりがケース1内に進入するのを防いでいる。

さらに、ケース1における筒部4が形成されている側面1aにおいては、筒部4の周囲を囲むように、四角筒状の側壁20が形成されている。また、この側壁20の中央部に筒部4が位置している。側壁20は、ケース1と一体形成されている。

このように、筒部4の周囲におけるケース1の側面1aから、側壁20を突設した構造となっている。さらに、この側壁20は、フィルタ10の外周面に沿っており、少なくとも人の指が入らない隙間L1を隔て、かつフィルタ10を掴めなくする高さH1となっている。

本実施形態においては、筒部4の周囲におけるケース1の側面1aから突設する側壁30に関して、側壁30は円筒形状をなしている。また、側壁30の外周面30aは滑らかで、しかも、連続した面であって、この面30aが気密検査機器接続用シール面として機能するようになっている。また、側壁30の内周面にはリブ(補強材)31が設けられている。

このように、滑らかに連続した面30aを、気密検査用機器35との接触面(シール面)として用いることにより容易に気密検査を行うことが可能になる。つまり、フィルタ10の周囲に側壁30を突設することにより、フィルタ10が取り外されてしまうことが防止できるとともに、側壁30を突設した場合においても、気密検査用のエア配管36のシール部を側壁30の外周面30aに接触させて気密検査が可能となる(電子制御装置の気密検査が可能になる)。

図5,6の変形例を図8,9に示す。図8,9において、円筒形の側壁40においてその内周面40aが、滑らかに連続した面となり、この面40aを気密検査機器接続用シール面としている。また、側壁40の外周面にはリブ(補強材)41が設けられている。そして、図10に示すように、気密検査用機器45の接続管46を側壁40の内周面40aに接しながら挿入し、気密検査用機器45を用いて検査エアによりケース1の気密検査を行う。このように、滑らかに連続した面40aを、気密検査用機器45との接触面(シール面)として用いることにより容易に気密検査を行うことが可能になる。つまり、気密検査用のエア配管46のシール部を側壁40の内周面40aに接触させて気密検査が可能となる。

また、図5,6の変形例として、図11,12に示すようにしてもよい。図11,12において、円筒形の側壁50は肉厚が厚く、かつ、先端面50aが平面であり、この先端面50aを気密検査機器接続用シール面としている。このように、側壁の先端面50aを平面とし、この面50aを、気密検査用機器との接触面(シール面)として用いることにより容易に気密検査を行うことが可能になる。つまり、気密検査用のエア配管のシール部を側壁先端面50aに接触させて気密検査が可能となる。
(第3の実施の形態)
次に、第3の実施の形態を、第1の実施形態との相違点を中心に説明する。
