Description
【0001】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to an internal combustion engine mounted on an automobile or the like, and more particularly to an internal combustion engine having an exhaust gas recirculation path.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Gasoline engines, diesel engines, and the like are known as internal combustion engines mounted on automobiles and the like. For diesel engines, nitrogen oxides (NO X ) And hydrocarbons (HC) and the like, and the emission of black smoke is suppressed to improve exhaust emission.
[0003]
In response to such a demand, a diesel engine described in Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 9-158810 is known. The diesel engine includes a preliminary injection device that injects fuel during intake air, a main injection device that injects fuel into the combustion chamber, a controller that controls the preliminary injection device and the main injection device in accordance with the operating state of the engine, an engine Intake air temperature adjusting means for variably controlling the intake air temperature according to the operating state.
[0004]
The controller injects fuel from the preliminary injection device from the time when the intake stroke is started to the middle of the intake stroke. In this case, the fuel injected from the preliminary injection device is supplied into the combustion chamber while being mixed with the intake air. Subsequently, since the temperature of the intake air and the intake air supplied into the combustion chamber rises during the compression stroke, vaporization of the fuel is promoted using the intake air as a heat source. The vaporized fuel and the intake air are homogeneously mixed with each other to form a lean air-fuel mixture.
[0005]
Subsequently, the controller injects fuel from the main injection device in the vicinity of the compression top dead center. At this time, the lean air-fuel mixture in the combustion chamber ignites and burns with the fuel injected from the main injection device as a nucleus. At that time, since the lean mixture contains excess oxygen and nitrogen, black smoke and NO X Is suppressed.
[0006]
On the other hand, the intake air temperature adjusting means is realized by, for example, an exhaust gas recirculation device (EGR device) including a recirculation passage from the exhaust passage to the intake passage and a flow rate control valve for controlling the flow rate in the recirculation passage. When the fuel injection amount is small, such as when the engine is in a low-load operation region, the exhaust gas recirculation amount is increased to correct the intake air temperature, thereby stabilizing lean combustion and suppressing the combustion temperature. NO X It is intended to reduce the production amount of.
[0007]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
By the way, in the diesel engine described above, the fuel from the preliminary injection device is supplied into the mixed gas of the recirculated exhaust gas and the fresh air, but the recirculated exhaust gas is cooled by the fresh air. Even if fuel is injected into the gas, the fuel is not sufficiently vaporized. For this reason, liquid fuel is supplied into the combustion chamber of the diesel engine, which may increase black smoke and HC.
[0008]
The present invention has been made in view of the above problems, and an object of the present invention is to reduce the discharge amount of black smoke, HC, etc. in an internal combustion engine having an exhaust gas recirculation passage for recirculating exhaust gas to an intake system. And
[0009]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
The present invention employs the following means in order to solve the above problems. That is, an internal combustion engine according to the present invention includes an exhaust gas recirculation passage for recirculating exhaust gas flowing through an exhaust system of the internal combustion engine to an intake system, an exhaust gas recirculation fuel injection means for injecting fuel into the exhaust gas recirculation passage, The amount of fuel injected from the exhaust gas recirculation fuel injection means and vaporized in the exhaust gas recirculation passage is an energy amount determined from the exhaust gas flow rate and the exhaust gas temperature of the exhaust gas recirculation passage. Determining means for determining based on the amount of energy corresponding to latent heat; And a premixing region for mixing the fuel injected from the exhaust gas recirculation fuel injection means and the exhaust gas flowing through the exhaust gas recirculation passage.
[0010]
In the internal combustion engine configured as described above, since fuel is injected into the exhaust gas flowing through the exhaust gas recirculation passage, the fuel is vaporized by receiving the heat of the exhaust gas, and then uniformly mixed with the exhaust gas in the premixing region. The air-fuel mixture thus formed is supplied to the combustion chamber of the internal combustion engine via the intake system. That is, in the combustion chamber, the air-fuel mixture containing sufficiently vaporized fuel is burned, and the generation of black smoke, hydrocarbons (HC), and the like is suppressed.
[0011]
An internal combustion engine according to the present invention includes a pressure accumulation chamber that stores fuel at a predetermined pressure, fuel injection means that injects fuel accumulated in the pressure accumulation chamber toward a combustion chamber of the internal combustion engine, and an exhaust gas from the internal combustion engine An exhaust gas recirculation passage for recirculating exhaust gas flowing through the system to an intake system, and an exhaust gas recirculation fuel injection means for injecting fuel accumulated in the pressure accumulation chamber into the exhaust gas recirculation passage; The amount of fuel injected from the exhaust gas recirculation fuel injection means and vaporized in the exhaust gas recirculation passage is an energy amount determined from the exhaust gas flow rate and the exhaust gas temperature of the exhaust gas recirculation passage. Determining means for determining based on the amount of energy corresponding to latent heat; A premixing region that is provided in the middle of the exhaust gas recirculation passage and mixes the fuel injected from the exhaust gas recirculation fuel injection means and the exhaust gas flowing through the exhaust gas recirculation passage may be provided.
[0012]
In the internal combustion engine configured as described above, fuel that has been pressurized to a predetermined pressure in the pressure accumulating chamber is injected into the exhaust gas recirculation path, so that atomization of the fuel is promoted. The atomized fuel is easily vaporized by receiving the heat of the exhaust gas flowing in the exhaust gas recirculation passage. For this reason, even in an operation region where the exhaust gas temperature is low, it is possible to form a good air-fuel mixture in which sufficiently vaporized fuel and exhaust gas are homogeneously mixed. That is, it is possible to form a good air-fuel mixture without being influenced by the operating state of the internal combustion engine.

For example, as shown in FIG. 3, the required fuel amount control map is a map showing the relationship among the engine speed (NE), the accelerator opening (ACCP), and the required fuel amount (QFIN), and the engine speed (NE). ) And the accelerator opening (ACCP) are specified, the required fuel amount: QFIN is determined.
[0033]
For example, as shown in FIG. 4, the fumegation control map is a map showing the relationship between the exhaust flow rate (GEX), the exhaust temperature (TEX), and the fumigable injection amount (QFINFM), and the exhaust flow rate (GEX). ) And the exhaust gas temperature (TEX) are specified, the fumigable injection amount (QFINFM) is determined. That is, since the energy amount corresponding to the latent heat of vaporization of the exhaust gas is determined from the exhaust gas flow rate (GEX) and the exhaust gas temperature (TEX), the fuel amount that can be vaporized by this energy amount (Fumable injection amount: QFINFM) is determined. That is why. The exhaust flow rate (GEX) may be estimated on the basis of the engine speed (NE) and the intake air amount (GN). An oxygen sensor is attached to the

For example, as shown in FIG. 5, the limit injection amount control map is a map showing the relationship among the engine speed (NE), the intake air amount (GN), and the limit injection amount (QAFM), and the engine speed (NE). ) And the intake air amount (GN) are specified, the limit injection amount (QAFM) is determined.
[0035]
Here, when the fusible injection amount (QFINFM) determined by the fuming control map is equal to or less than the limiting injection amount (QAFM) determined by the limiting injection amount control map, the fuming is possible. The injection amount (QFINFM) is set as the fuel amount (fumeration injection amount: QFM) to be actually injected from the fumeration
[0036]
The EGR valve opening degree control map is a map that assumes that the required fuel amount (QFIN) can be satisfied only by the fumeration injection amount (QFM = min (QFINFM, QAFM)) (when QFM ≧ QFIN). . This EGR valve opening degree control map is, for example, a map showing the relationship among the engine speed (NE), the required fuel amount (QFIN), and the EGR valve opening degree, as shown in FIG. ) And the required injection amount (QFIN) are determined, the EGR valve opening is determined. When the fumeration injection amount (QFM) is smaller than the required fuel amount (QFIN), the EGR valve opening is fully opened.
[0037]
In the basic in-cylinder injection timing control map, when the fumeration injection amount (QFM) is smaller than the required fuel amount (QFIN) (when QFIN> QFM), that is, only the fuel injected from the fumeration

For example, as shown in FIG. 8, the atmospheric pressure correction advance amount control map is a map showing the relationship between the atmospheric pressure and the atmospheric pressure correction advance amount (APIM). A corrected advance amount (APIM) is determined.
[0039]
For example, as shown in FIG. 9, the coolant temperature correction advance amount control map is a map showing the relationship between the coolant temperature and the coolant temperature correction advance amount (ATHW). The water temperature correction advance amount is determined.
[0040]
For example, as shown in FIG. 10, the basic fumigation timing control map is a map showing the relationship between the engine speed (NE) and the basic fumeration timing (ABSFM1), and the engine speed (NE) is specified. Then, the basic fumigation timing (ABSFM1) is determined.
[0041]
The asynchronous fumigation timing control map is a map showing the relationship between the engine speed (NE) and the asynchronous fumigation timing (ABSFM2), for example, as shown in FIG. 11, and the engine speed (NE) is specified. As a result, asynchronous fumigation timing is determined.

According to the embodiment described above, since the fuel is injected into the high-temperature exhaust gas in the premixing chamber, the injected fuel can be sufficiently vaporized by receiving the latent heat of vaporization of the exhaust gas and uniformly mixed with the exhaust gas. it can. As a result, in the combustion chamber of the diesel engine, sufficiently vaporized fuel is supplied and burned, so that the amount of black smoke and HC emissions is reduced.
[0080]
Furthermore, in the present embodiment, the fuel boosted by the common rail is injected into the premixing chamber, so that the atomization of the fuel is promoted, and the atomized fuel is easily vaporized by receiving the latent heat of vaporization of the exhaust gas.
[0081]
As a result, even if the exhaust gas has a low latent heat of vaporization, that is, the exhaust gas has a low temperature, the fuel is easily vaporized and a good air-fuel mixture can be formed. Therefore, according to the present embodiment, a good air-fuel mixture can be formed even in an operating region where the exhaust temperature is low, so black smoke and HC can be used without depending on the operating state of the diesel engine. Can be reduced.
[0082]
Further, the exhaust gas supplied to the premixing chamber is deprived of thermal energy by the fuel injected from the fuel injection valve for fumigation, resulting in a decrease in temperature. Therefore, low temperature exhaust gas is supplied to the combustion chamber of the diesel engine. As a result, the combustion temperature in the combustion chamber can be lowered, and the amount of NOx generated can be reduced.
[0083]
【The invention's effect】
In the internal combustion engine according to the present invention, the fuel is injected into the exhaust gas flowing through the exhaust gas recirculation passage and mixed with the exhaust gas in the premixing region. Therefore, the fuel is sufficiently vaporized by the heat of the exhaust gas and mixed with the exhaust gas. A good air-fuel mixture. As a result, an air-fuel mixture containing vaporized fuel is supplied to the combustion chamber of the internal combustion engine, and this air-fuel mixture is combusted, so that the generation of black smoke, hydrocarbons (HC), and the like is suppressed.
[0084]
Further, when the configuration in which the fuel accumulated in the pressure accumulating chamber is injected into the exhaust gas recirculation passage, atomization of the injected fuel is promoted, so that the fuel is easily vaporized by receiving the heat of the exhaust gas. It is easy to form an air-fuel mixture. That is, an air-fuel mixture containing sufficiently vaporized fuel can be formed even in an operating region where the exhaust temperature is low, and black smoke and hydrocarbons (HC) are not affected by the operating state of the internal combustion engine. The generation amount can be suppressed.
