この発明はベッドのマットレスに装着して使用するシーツに関し、特に寝たきり老人や病人或いは乳幼児等の介護を必要とする者（以下、「要介護者」と称する。）に最適なシーツに関する。

【従来の技術】
従来、上記のような要介護者に使用するシーツとしては、失禁等による敷布団やベッドの濡れを防ぐためにシーツを防水性に富んだ生地により構成することが一般的であった。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
いうまでもなく要介護者は自身でベッドメーキングを出来ず、ベッドメーキングは介護人が行っていた。そして、老人施設や病院等においては短時間に大量のベッドのベッドメーキングを行わなければならず、シーツも装着しやすい形式のものが望まれた。

そのための、シーツの形式としてマットレスの前後左右の側壁を抱持すべき側縁部をマットレスに重合されるべきシーツ上面部の前後左右に配したシーツが、いわゆるボックスシーツ或いはフィットシーツとして採用されていた。

ところで、この種のシーツは前記のように防水性に富んだ生地により構成されているので、通気性が全くないか、あっても通気抵抗が非常に大きかった。そのため、図４に示すようにマットレスＭにシーツＳを装着する際に、先にシーツの側縁部がマットレスの側壁部を抱持することも相まって、シーツ上面部とマットレス上面との間に空気が溜まりマットレスに対しシーツ上面部が膨らんだ状態になる現象が生じやすかった。そこで、ベッドメーキングにあたってはこの膨らんだ状態を解消するために、浮き上がったシーツ上面部を両手でマットレスに押しつける作業が必要となり、本来一人で行えるベッドメーキングに二人の人員が必要となる問題が生じた。

又、上記の膨らみを除去した後も、シーツの側縁部がマットレスの側壁部を抱持する構造上、要介護者の体温により防水性に富んだ生地により構成されるシーツ上面部とマットレスとの間で蒸れが生じやすく、要介護者に不快感を与える問題が生じた。

【課題を解決するための手段】
この発明は以上の従来技術の問題点を解消することを目的として創作されたものであり、マットレスの前後左右の側壁を抱持すべき側縁部をマットレスに重合されるべきシーツ上面部の前後左右に配したシーツにおいて、シーツ上面部の一部を防水性に富んだ生地により構成すると共に、上面部の残余の部分及び側縁部を通気性に富んだニット生地により構成したことを特徴とする。

【発明の実施の形態】
以下、この発明の具体的実施例を添付図面に基づいて説明する。図１はこの発明のシーツの具体的実施例を示す図である。この発明のシーツはマットレスの前後左右の側壁を抱持すべき側縁部２をマットレスに重合されるべきシーツ上面部１の前後左右に配した公知の構造よりなる。又、ここでは側縁部２の端部にゴム紐３を内蔵することにより、側縁部端によりマットレスを緊締してシーツ装着後の安定を図っている。

シーツの上記の防水性生地部４以外の上面部１の残余の部分１Ａ、１Ｂ及び側縁部２は通気性に富んだニット生地により構成される。ニット生地として、ここではテトロン・コットン混合繊維、ポリエステル・コットン混合繊維、テトロン繊維、ポリエステル繊維、レーヨン繊維、綿繊維等をニット編みしたものを例示するが、通気性に富んだニット生地はこれらに限られないことは勿論である。

【発明の効果】
以上の構成よりなるこの発明のシーツによれば、防水性生地部はシーツの上面部の一部にのみ配されるので、ベッドメーキング時にシーツ上面部とマットレス上面との間に溜まろうとする空気は通気性に富んだニット生地よりなるシート上面部の残余の部分から速やかに排出され、従来のシーツのようにマットレスに対しシーツ上面部が膨らんだ状態になることが防止される効果を奏する。その結果、ベッドメーキングにあたって浮き上がったシーツ上面部を両手でマットレスに押しつける作業が不要となり、元来作業性が優れたボックスシーツであることも相まってベッドメーキングの時間を大幅に短縮でき、特に老人施設や病院等のように短時間に大量のベッドのベッドメーキングを行わなければならない場合に最適のシーツが実現される。
