Description
【0001】
【0010】
(4)先端にノズル(3)を有するノズル部材(2)および該ノズル部材の内部にあって先端が前記ノズルに対向する電極棒(4)を備えるプラズマトーチ(1);
前記ノズル部材(2)の内部にプラズマガスを供給する手段(Sp,36,12,15);
前記電極棒(4)と加工対象材(9)との間に、メインアークを発生するための電圧を印加するためのメインアークスイッチ(11);
加工指示手段(Sa,21,22);
前記加工指示手段(Sa)が加工指示を発生するとパイロットアークスイッチ(6〜8)にてノズル部材(2)と電極棒(4)の間に正極性の電圧を印加し、それから設定時間(t1+t2)後にメインアークスイッチ(11)にて電極棒(4)と加工対象材(9)との間にメインアークを発生するための電圧を印加し、加工指示手段(Sa)が加工非指示になるとメインアークおよびパイロットアークを遮断し、それから設定時間(t5+t6)後にパイロットアークスイッチ(6〜8)にてノズル部材(2)と電極棒(4)の間にノズル部材クリーニング用の逆極性の電圧もしくは交流電圧を印加する制御手段(20);

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a plasma processing apparatus that performs processing such as welding, cutting, and heating, and more particularly to cleaning of a nozzle member of a plasma torch and an apparatus configuration suitable for the cleaning.
[0002]
[Prior art]
In processing by a plasma torch, for example, in welding steel materials, a tungsten electrode rod inside the torch is used as a cathode. The tip temperature of the tungsten rod is greatly increased by the generation of an arc, and tungsten metal is evaporated and scattered, and adheres to and accumulates on the inner surface of the nozzle. Further, when the surface of the work material and the internal material (plating material, steel material) are melted, the material is evaporated and scattered, and is mainly deposited on the outer surface of the nozzle member. When this amount of adhesion increases, the directing point of the arc deviates or fluctuates, and when the nozzle hole diameter becomes too small, a series arc is generated, which leads to instability and poor welding. Therefore, conventionally, the use of the plasma torch is stopped every 1 to 3 hours, and the periphery of the nozzle of the torch is cleaned by scraping the weld metal with a tool. Since such cleaning is a manual operation, it must be performed after the torch has cooled down, and since the adhered metal is solidified, it is difficult to remove, and it must be performed so as not to damage the nozzle. It is annoying work.
[0003]
Therefore, at the end of processing, the present applicant continues to supply plasma gas to the nozzle member and energize the electrode rod in order to maintain the pilot arc, and the plasma torch does not act on the material to be processed at the end of processing. After a certain amount of time, the plasma flow increases the plasma gas supply rate to the nozzle member to a flow rate at which the pilot arc bends and extends in an arc shape by the gas flow, and blows away the deposits on the nozzle and electrode rod by the high-temperature, high-speed gas flow. A cleaning method for a torch has been presented (Japanese Patent No. 2,687,952).
[0004]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, although it was effective in removing deposits from the electrode rod and deposits on the inner wall surface inside the nozzle hole, the cleaning effect on the nozzle hole surface and the outer surface outside the nozzle hole was low, and a large amount of plasma gas was consumed. The cleaning effect of the nozzle hole surface and the outer surface outside the nozzle hole was low for consumption.
[0005]
The first object of the present invention is to increase the cleaning effect of the nozzle hole surface and the outer surface outside the nozzle hole, and in addition to this, the deposit on the electrode rod and the deposit on the inner wall surface inside the nozzle hole are effective. The second purpose is to remove the target and the third purpose is to suppress the wear of the outer surface of the nozzle hole due to the cleaning.
[0006]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
(1) of a plasma torch (1) having a nozzle member (2) having a nozzle (3) at the tip and an electrode rod (4) inside the nozzle (3) and facing the nozzle (3) at the tip A method for cleaning a plasma torch, wherein a DC voltage or AC voltage having a reverse polarity is applied between the nozzle member (2) and the electrode rod (4). In addition, in order to make an understanding easy, the symbol of the corresponding | compatible element of the Example shown in drawing and mentioned later is added to the parenthesis for reference. The same applies to the following.
[0007]
According to this, by applying a reverse polarity DC voltage or AC voltage between the nozzle member (2) and the electrode rod (4), an arc discharge in which the nozzle member (2) becomes a cathode is caused to occur in the nozzle member (2 ) And the electrode rod (4). Since most of the deposits on the nozzle hole surface and the outer surface outside the nozzle holes are oxides, the arc of the arc discharge has the deposit as a cathode spot. Released. The cathode spot is locally hot, which causes the deposit to become hot and melt and scatter. Since the cathode spot is easily formed on the surface of the protrusion and oxide, the arc moves to seek oxide (deposits) rather than the clean part of the surface of the nozzle member (2). The kimono is removed, and the removal effect is great.
[0008]
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
(2) High-speed gas is ejected from the nozzle (3) of the nozzle member (2) at least temporarily during at least the application of the voltage. According to this, since the arc length becomes long and the arc moves in a wide range from the inner surface of the nozzle to the outer surface of the nozzle in search of oxides (deposits), a wide range of cleaning of the outer surface of the nozzle is realized.
[0009]
(3) The nozzle member (2) is shielded with a shielding gas at least while the voltage is applied. According to this, since the nozzle member (2) is covered with the shielding gas, the secondary oxidation by the arc moving on the outer surface of the nozzle member (2) in search of oxides (deposits) is prevented by the shielding gas. It is possible to prevent the nozzle from being consumed by the cleaning arc.
[0010]
(4) A plasma torch (1) comprising a nozzle member (2) having a nozzle (3) at the tip and an electrode rod (4) inside the nozzle member and having the tip facing the nozzle;
Means (Sp, 36, 12, 15) for supplying plasma gas into the nozzle member (2);
A main arc switch (11) for applying a voltage for generating a main arc between the electrode rod (4) and the workpiece (9);
Processing instruction means (Sa, 21, 22);
Between the nozzle member (2) and the electrode rod (4), a positive voltage for generating a pilot arc and a reverse polarity voltage or an AC voltage for cleaning the nozzle member are selectively applied. A pilot arc switch (6-8); and
When the processing instruction means (Sa) generates a processing instruction, a positive voltage is applied between the nozzle member (2) and the electrode rod (4) by a pilot arc switch (6-8), and then a set time (t1 + t2) After that, the main arc switch (11) applies a voltage for generating the main arc between the electrode rod (4) and the workpiece (9), and the processing instruction means (Sa) does not instruct the processing. The main arc and pilot arc are cut off, and after the set time (t5 + t6), the pilot arc switch (6-8) is used to reverse the nozzle member cleaning between the nozzle member (2) and the electrode rod (4). Control means (20) for applying polar or alternating voltage;
A plasma processing apparatus comprising:
[0011]
According to this, when the processing instruction means (Sa) is not instructed to finish the original processing by the plasma torch (1), the control means (20) cuts off the main arc and pilot arc and then sets After the time (t5 + t6), a reverse polarity voltage or an AC voltage for cleaning the nozzle member is applied between the nozzle member (2) and the electrode rod (4) by the pilot arc switch (6-8). Therefore, the deposit removal described in the above (1) is automatically performed with the end of the processing, and the effect of maintaining the plasma torch (1) always clean is high.
[0012]
(5) The plasma processing apparatus further includes valve means (13, 17) for increasing the amount of plasma gas supplied into the nozzle member (2), and the control means (20) includes a nozzle member ( While the nozzle member cleaning voltage is being applied between 2) and the electrode rod (4), the supply amount of the plasma gas is increased at least temporarily by the valve means (13, 17). According to this, since the arc length becomes long and the arc moves in a wide range from the inner surface of the nozzle to the outer surface of the nozzle in search of oxides (deposits), a wide range of cleaning of the outer surface of the nozzle is realized.
[0013]
(6) The plasma processing apparatus further includes valve means (14, 16) for supplying a shielding gas for shielding the nozzle member (2) to the plasma torch, and the control means (20) includes at least a main arc. During the generation and during the generation of the pilot arc by the voltage for cleaning the nozzle member, the shielding gas is supplied by the valve means (14, 16).
[0014]
(7) The plasma processing apparatus further includes a control mode instruction means (Sm), and the control means (20) is operated by a pilot arc switch (6-8) when the processing instruction means (Sa) generates a processing instruction. A positive voltage is applied between the nozzle member (2) and the electrode rod (4), and then after a set time (t1 + t2), the main arc switch (11) and the electrode rod (4) and the workpiece (9) ) Is applied to generate a main arc, and when the machining instruction means (Sa) is not instructed to cut, the main arc and pilot arc are cut off, and the control mode instruction means (Sm) enters the cleaning mode. When instructed, a reverse polarity voltage or AC voltage for cleaning the nozzle member between the nozzle member (2) and the electrode rod (4) by the pilot arc switch (6-8) after a set time (t5 + t6) Apply.
[0015]
According to this, on the condition that the control mode instruction means (Sm) instructs the cleaning mode, the control means (20) performs the deposit removal, that is, cleaning described in the above (1). Therefore, it is possible to select and set whether or not to remove the deposit by using the control mode instruction means (Sm). For example, it is necessary to increase the working efficiency of the processing process, such as performing cleaning once (removing attached matter) every three processing processes or after the completion of the processing process after a total of 30 minutes. It becomes possible to perform cleaning (removal of deposits) effectively at the timing.
