Description
【0001】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a paper feeding device used for an image forming apparatus and the like, and more particularly to a paper feeding device capable of satisfactorily preventing double feeding of paper.
[0002]
[Prior art]
2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, in an electronic device having an image forming apparatus such as a printer, a copying machine, and a facsimile machine, a paper feeding device that feeds paper into the main body of the electronic device has been provided. 2. Description of the Related Art A friction separating device that separates and feeds sheets one by one by a sheet feeding roller that feeds paper and a separating piece that separates the sheets one by one while contacting the sheet feeding roller is known. It has been. Further, in these paper feeding apparatuses, the paper is held while being inclined with respect to the horizontal direction, and the gravity applied to the paper is used, and the friction separating means described above is used in combination to hold the paper along the inclined surface. Various paper feeding devices that feed paper into the main body of an electronic device in order from the top of the paper have been proposed.
[0003]
By the frictional separation means used in the sheet feeding device having such a configuration, the sheet feeding roller rotates while receiving a constant pressing force by the sheet feeding roller and the separation piece for each sheet fed. As a result, the sheet is conveyed in the sheet conveying direction and is conveyed into the main body of the electronic device via a conveying roller provided on the downstream side in the sheet conveying direction. On the other hand, in the paper feeding device having such a configuration, when feeding paper, the trailing edge of the paper is separated from the paper feeding roller due to the tension (back tension) generated between the paper feeding roller and the transport roller. It is known that the paper is wound more on the side of the transport roller than the predetermined transport amount at the moment when the nipping with the separation piece is released, and these back tensions cause deterioration of the paper transport accuracy. . For this reason, the pressing force generated between the paper feed roller and the separation piece is reduced, and the tension (back tension) between the paper feed roller and the transport roller is reduced, thereby preventing the above-described deterioration of the paper transport accuracy. Was.
[0004]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, by reducing the pressing force generated between the paper feed roller and the separating piece, the paper held inclined with respect to the horizontal direction resists the pressing force between the paper feeding roller and the separating piece. Thus, a large amount of paper can easily enter between the paper feed roller and the separating piece, and simultaneously with one paper to be fed, a plurality of paper is conveyed into the main body of the electronic device. There was a problem that sending was easy to occur.
[0005]
The present invention has been made in view of the above-described problems, and does not cause deterioration in paper conveyance accuracy due to an increase in the pressing force generated between the paper feed roller and the separation piece, and allows double feeding of paper. It is an object of the present invention to provide a paper feeding device that can prevent the above problem.
[0006]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to achieve the above object, a sheet feeding device according to
[0007]
According to this paper feeding device, the paper supplied in an inclined state is separated into separation claws that are spaced apart in the paper width direction, a paper feeding roller that feeds paper in a predetermined conveyance direction, and paper is separated one by one. Are separated one by one through a separating piece and fed. For this reason, most of the paper is regulated to flow downstream in the transport direction by the separation claw, and only a few sheets are released from the regulation by the separation claw by the paper feed roller. Since it is guided in between, the paper can be separated well. In addition, since a large amount of paper does not enter between the separation piece and the paper feed roller at a time, the separation piece and the paper feed roller are arranged so that paper does not accumulate between the separation piece and the paper feed roller. It is not necessary to increase the pressing force between them, and the back tension can be reduced.
[0008]
According to a second aspect of the present invention, in the paper feeding device according to the first aspect, the separation claw is formed in a substantially square shape in side view with the bent portion as a boundary. The leading edge of the supplied paper is separated by being brought into contact with the upper part of the bent portion.

【The invention's effect】
As described above, according to the paper feeding device of the first aspect, most of the paper is restricted from flowing downstream in the transport direction by the separation claw, and only a few sheets are fed by the paper feeding roller. Since the regulation by the separation claw is removed and the sheet is guided between the sheet feeding roller and the separation piece, the sheet can be separated satisfactorily.
