Next, a digital camera capable of erasing an image will be described as another configuration example of the conventional digital camera.

[0017]
Next, a procedure for erasing a photographed image in the digital camera with a color liquid crystal monitor will be described with reference to FIG.
This procedure is mainly divided into the following four processes 131-134.
[0018]
[0019]
An arbitrary image in the
In addition to the above method, the images can be erased by erasing the images in the
For models without a color LCD monitor, there is no means to check the captured image. As a method of erasing the image, there is a method of erasing retroactively from the last taken image and a method in the flash memory. One of the methods to erase all images at once.
Note that the above-described image erasing function can be provided in the above-described digital camera of FIG.
[0020]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, in the conventional digital camera of FIG. 11, when a continuous shooting operation is performed, image files of all the shot images are stored in a nonvolatile memory, and after shooting, the images are viewed while viewing them on a display. If there is an unnecessary image that failed or did not like, the operator is forced to perform a complicated operation of deleting the image file from the nonvolatile memory using the image erasing function, and there is an upper limit on the total number of writing times An extra write or erase operation is performed on the nonvolatile memory element.
[0021]
Also, in the conventional digital camera that performs image erasure described with reference to FIGS. 12 to 15, the color liquid crystal monitor is generally small and has a low resolution. Therefore, the image displayed on the color liquid crystal monitor and the actual data are displayed. The image shift was large. For this reason, even if the image appears on the color LCD monitor without any problem, it is often not noticed that there is a mistake in exposure or camera shake until the data is once transferred to a device such as a personal computer.
[0022]
Further, the image erasing method is impossible with an optical finder digital camera without a color liquid crystal monitor, and it is necessary to transfer the image to a personal computer or the like, and erase it after confirming it.
[0023]
Therefore, an object of the present invention is to provide a digital camera with a function for extracting what seems to be a shooting mistake from a shot image, and after the shooting mistake is extracted, these images can be erased collectively from the memory. By doing so, it is possible to reduce the trouble of erasing the image and use the memory efficiently.
[0024]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
The imaging apparatus according to the present invention is evaluated by an imaging unit that images a subject, an image evaluation unit that evaluates an image obtained by the imaging unit based on a signal extracted from the image, according to a predetermined criterion, and the evaluation unit. And erasing means for collectively erasing images determined to be photographing errors according to the predetermined judgment criteria from the storage means.
[0025]
According to the processing method of the imaging apparatus of the present invention, an image obtained by an imaging means for imaging a subject is analyzed and evaluated based on a signal extracted from the image, and a shooting error is determined based on a predetermined determination criterion among the evaluated images. The recorded images are collectively erased from the storage means.

As a result, when the operator selects a captured image to be stored, an image file obtained by re-compression encoding with a low compression rate with low distortion can be stored for a captured image that the user particularly likes. On the other hand, an image file obtained by re-compression encoding with a high compression ratio with a small file size can be stored for a captured image that is stored for the time being without much interest.

【The invention's effect】
As described above, according to the present invention, since it is possible to extract a shooting mistake that cannot be known unless it is once transferred to a personal computer or the like and confirmed after shooting, the memory can be used efficiently.
[0068]
In addition, since the extracted image data of shooting mistakes can be erased at once, the labor required for erasing can be greatly reduced as compared with the conventional method of erasing while checking one by one.
