【0020】
MRT=mr …(1)
【0021】
IT=i+I …(2)
【0022】
【0030】
I=(1/2)(πr4Tγ) …(3)
【0031】
【0033】
d2θ/dt2=(MRTG−F(θ)rf)/IT …(4)
【0034】
【0040】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a collision detection apparatus that detects a collision of a moving body by detecting an acceleration of a predetermined level or higher. This collision detection device is used for starting an air bag device for protecting an occupant, a device for determining the start timing of a seat belt pretensioner, and the like.
[0002]
[Prior art]
2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, for example, in a mechanical collision detection device used for starting an airbag device, a weight having a center of rotation eccentric with respect to the center of gravity of a weight is pivotally supported, and an acceleration of a predetermined level or more acting in a predetermined direction. A device is known which detects a vehicle collision by rotating a weight by means of (1) and closing a contact with the rotation of a cam rotor that rotates together with the weight (Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 8-264088). Publication).
In this collision detection device, the detection level of acceleration is set by urging the weight in the direction opposite to the rotation direction at the time of collision by a leaf spring, and the erroneous rotation is detected by regulating the rotation of the weight at times other than at the time of collision. Is preventing. Further, a stopper is provided on the weight rotation path, and when the collision is detected, the weight is restricted from further rotation by contacting the weight with the stopper.
Normally, the collision value is detected mainly using the detection value of the electronic acceleration sensor, and the output of the mechanical collision detection device described above is also used as a safing sensor for providing redundancy for collision detection by the acceleration sensor. It was used. In this case, in the mechanical collision detection device, it is only necessary that the eccentric mass moment of the weight is increased and the inertia moment is decreased so that the weight can be rotated at the time of the collision.
[0003]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, in the structure of the conventional product, there is a problem that when it is used as a crash sensor for detecting a collision, the request cannot be sufficiently met. For example, when a collision detection device is installed in a crash zone of a vehicle or when a side collision is detected, the generated acceleration is high frequency and the level is large, so the eccentric mass moment of the weight is large as before, If the moment of inertia is small, the rotation speed of the weight increases, and the reaction force when the weight comes into contact with the stopper increases. As a result, the weight reciprocates between the stoppers, chattering occurs between the contacts, a signal that repeatedly turns on and off is output as a collision detection signal, and a stable detection signal cannot be obtained.
In particular, the airbag device is configured to start the inflator by taking the logical product of the detection signal from the collision detection device and the detection signal from the other detection device, so the output of the collision detection signal is stable. Otherwise, there is a possibility that the airbag device cannot be activated at the time of a collision.
In order to prevent the weight from reciprocating when high frequency and high acceleration are applied, a large moment of inertia is required for the weight. However, since the moment of inertia of the weight is determined only by its outer shape, It is necessary to design a weight corresponding to the acceleration. The acceleration acting at the time of the collision varies depending on the type of vehicle on which the collision detection device is mounted, its mounting position, or the direction of the collision. In order to obtain the weight, it is necessary to design the weight by trial and error each time, and there is a problem that the cost increases.
[0004]
Therefore, in view of the above problems, the object of the present invention is to make it possible to easily set only the moment of inertia without changing the eccentric moment of the weight, thereby responding to various conditions such as the mounted vehicle type, the mounted position, or the collision direction. Thus, it is possible to obtain a stable output signal, facilitate the optimum design of the weight, and reduce the cost of the collision detection device.
[0005]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
The collision detection device supports the weight so as to be rotatable at a position eccentric with respect to the position of the center of gravity, and the weight is rotated by the action of acceleration of a predetermined level or more, and the contact state is changed in conjunction with the rotation of the weight. This is a device that detects a collision. According to the present invention, in this collision detection device, by determining the moment of inertia to a desired value without changing the eccentric mass moment of the weight, the rotation speed and frequency characteristics of the weight are maintained while maintaining the acceleration detection level. It is a technical idea that can be determined arbitrarily.
[0006]
In order to solve the above problems, according to the means described in claim 1, the weight is composed of an eccentric portion and an inertia portion, and the eccentric portion is configured such that the center of rotation is eccentric with respect to the center of gravity of the weight. The eccentric mass moment of the weight is determined by this eccentric portion. The inertia part has a function of determining the inertia moment around the rotation axis of the weight without changing the eccentric mass moment of the weight, and rotates integrally with the eccentric part. Thereby, the moment of inertia can be determined to a desired value without changing the eccentric mass moment of the weight, so that the rotation characteristic of the weight can be arbitrarily determined while maintaining the acceleration detection level. Therefore, for example, if the inertia moment of the weight is set to a large value corresponding to the case where it is used as a crash sensor or a high-level acceleration is applied at the time of a side collision, the rotation speed of the weight is reduced, and the weight and its weight Reducing the reaction force at the time of contact with a regulating member that regulates rotation more than a predetermined amount, preventing the weight from reciprocating between the regulating members, preventing chattering of the output signal, and obtaining a stable signal Can do. In this way, by changing only the inertial moment of the inertial part, the inertial moment of the weight is a value corresponding to various conditions such as the difference in type between the crash sensor and the safing sensor, the mounted vehicle type and mounting position, or the collision direction. In addition, it can be easily adjusted at the prototype stage, and it is not necessary to design a weight each time, thereby reducing the cost of the collision detection device.
[0007]
Furthermore,By making the specific gravity of the inertia part larger than that of the eccentric part, the performance as a crash sensor that directly detects a collision can be easily obtained. In addition, the inertia part can be made more compact, and the collision detection device can be further downsized.Furthermore, since the inertia part does not have an eccentric mass moment, only the inertia moment can be easily set to an appropriate value without changing the eccentric mass moment of the entire weight by adjusting the inertia moment of the inertia part. It is possible to output a stable signal in accordance with various conditions such as the position of the vehicle, the mounting position, and the collision direction, and to reduce the cost of the collision detection device.
According to the second aspect of the present invention, since the inertia part and the eccentric part are configured separately, only the moment of inertia can be easily set to an appropriate value, and a desired operation can be performed according to the use form of the collision detection device. Characteristics can be easily obtained.
