【0001】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a starting system for a vehicular gas fuel engine.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Conventionally, a vehicle using a gas fuel engine using compressed natural gas (CNG) as a fuel has been developed and put into practical use. A vehicle equipped with this gas fuel engine has low NO x and CO 2 emissions, and is particularly expected as a low-emission vehicle.
[0003]
By the way, it is said that 7 to 10% of the fuel is consumed during idling when the engine is idling in a route bus equipped with a diesel engine running in the city. Therefore, recently, a vehicle to which a so-called idling stop start (ISS) system is added, which automatically stops the engine when the bus stops and restarts the engine when the driver depresses the clutch pedal when starting, is introduced. It has become. By introducing this type of vehicle, it becomes possible to significantly reduce fuel consumption and exhaust gas.
[0004]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, the introduction of the ISS system has been postponed for vehicles equipped with CNG engines. This is because the CNG engine has a drawback that a long start time is required when starting the engine. The reason for the long start-up time is that due to the structure of the engine, the distance and volume from the spray bar for CNG supply to each cylinder is large, or because the engine is started by idling speed control (ISC) control, CNG And the flow rate of the air-fuel mixture is small and it takes time to reach each cylinder.
[0005]
As a technique for improving the operability of the CNG engine, for example, there is a technique disclosed in Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 6-264821. This technology attempts to improve operability by bypassing the mixer and providing a passage for guiding fuel and air to the intake pipe downstream of the throttle valve and opening the control valve provided in the bypass passage under special operating conditions. Is. However, this technique has a problem that two bypass passages must be newly provided. Moreover, since the fuel and air are controlled separately by the control valves provided in each bypass passage, if the control is disturbed in one of them, the mixing balance of the fuel and air may be lost, which may adversely affect fuel consumption or exhaust gas. is there. Further, since the merging of fuel and air is performed downstream of the venturi, that is, immediately before the engine cylinder, there is a possibility that good mixing of the fuel and air may not be possible, and the exhaust gas may be deteriorated.
[0006]
Accordingly, an object of the present invention is to solve the above-mentioned problems and to provide a gas fuel engine starting system that can be started in a short time without affecting exhaust gas and fuel consumption.
[0007]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
The object is to provide fuel supply means for supplying gas fuel disposed in an intake pipe of a gas fuel engine, first and second intake passages branched downstream of the fuel supply means, and first intake passages. A first on-off valve that is driven to open and close in conjunction with the operation of the accelerator pedal, a second on-off valve that is disposed in the second intake passage and is driven to open and close independently of the operation of the accelerator pedal, and when the engine is started This is achieved by a starting system comprising control means for opening the second on-off valve.
[0008]
This starting system can be used, for example, when an engine that has been automatically stopped under a predetermined condition is restarted. This is particularly effective when starting an engine with an idling stop / start (ISS) system.
Thereby, in this invention, gas fuel engines, such as a CNG engine, can be started in a short time.
[0009]
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

Next, the engine operation method will be described by taking a CNG engine with an idling stop / start (ISS) system as an example. In the ISS system, the engine is automatically stopped while the vehicle is stopped. As shown in FIG. 2A, when the driver stops the vehicle (step 201), the engine is idling (step 202), and the transmission (T / M) position is set to neutral (step 203). When the driver releases the clutch pedal (step 204), the engine automatically stops (step 205).
[0014]
On the other hand, in the ISS system, the engine is restarted under predetermined conditions. As shown in FIG. 2B, when the engine is stopped (step 211) and the T / M position is neutral (step 212), when the driver depresses the clutch pedal (step 213), the engine is operated on this condition. Automatically restarts (step 214).

[0017]
As described above, in the present invention, by using the existing sub-throttle at the time of starting the CNG engine, the engine start time can be shortened with the current structure. As a result, the ISS mode start time of the CNG engine is substantially equivalent to that of the ISS system of the diesel engine that directly injects fuel into the cylinder. Moreover, since it can be achieved only by changing the control logic of the

【The invention's effect】
According to the present invention, the gas fuel engine can be started in a short time without adversely affecting the exhaust gas and the fuel consumption, and the idling stop / start system can be introduced also in the gas fuel engine.
