【発明の属する技術分野】
本発明は、空気中の汚れ物質を除去して清浄にする空気清浄機に関する。本発明に係る空気清浄機は例えば車両の室内の天井側の被取付部に取り付けるのに適する。

【従来の技術】
車両の室内の天井側に取り付ける空気清浄機を例にとって、従来技術について説明する。近年、車両の室内では、車内の空気を清浄にするための空気清浄機が備えられている。この空気清浄機は、吸気口及び吹出口をもち両者の間に空気流路をもつ本体と、本体に配置され空気流路に吸気口から吹出口へ向かう空気流を形成するファンと、空気流路に配置された吸着部とを有する。

この空気清浄機を車両の室内の天井側に取り付けるにあたっては、ボルト締めが一般的であり、片手で空気清浄機を支えながら、他方の片手でボルトを締結して本固定することにしている。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
ところが上記した従来の空気清浄機を天井側に取り付ける取付構造は、前述したように、ボルト締めが一般的であり、片手で空気清浄機の本体を支えながら、他方の片手でボルトを締結して空気清浄機の本体を本固定することにしているため、取付作業が容易ではない。

本発明はこのような事情に鑑みてなされたものであり、取付作業の簡単化を図ることができ、特に天井側の被取付部に取り付けるのに適する空気清浄機を提供することを課題とする。

【課題を解決するための手段】
本発明に係る空気清浄機は、吸気口及び吹出口をもち両者の間に空気流路をもつ本体と、本体に配置され空気流路に吸気口から吹出口へ向かう空気流を形成するファンと、空気流路に配置された吸着部とを有する空気清浄機において、本体は、本体の先端部に突設され被取付部の差込孔に差し込まれる差込爪部材と、差込爪部材の差込方向と交差する方向に沿って被取付部の押込孔に押し込まれる押込爪部材と、被取付部に本固定される本固定部とを具備しており、被取付部の差込孔に本体の差込爪部材を差し込むと共に、本体の押込爪部材を差込爪部材の差込方向と交差する方向に沿って被取付部の押込孔に押し込むことにより、本体を被取付部に仮保持し、仮保持後に本体の本固定部を被取付部に本固定するようにしたことを特徴とするものである。

【発明の実施の形態】
・本発明によれば、まず、被取付部の差込孔に本体の差込爪部材を差し込むと共に、本体の押込爪部材を差込爪部材の差込方向と交差する方向に沿って移動させて被取付部の押込孔に押し込むことにより、空気清浄機の本体を被取付部に仮保持する。仮保持後に、空気清浄機の本体の本固定部を被取付部に本固定する。このように空気清浄機の本体を被取付部に仮保持した後に、空気清浄機の本体の本固定を行うため、取付作業性が改善される。殊に、被取付部が天井側に位置しておれば、仮保持状態の空気清浄機の本体の自然落下が抑えられるため、本固定時における作業性が改善される。従って、被取付部が車両の室内の天井側に位置している場合であっても、取付作業が容易となる。差込爪部材は本体の先端側に設けられ、押込爪部材は本体の後端側に設けられていることが好ましい。

以下、本発明を具体化した実施例について、図面を参照しつつ説明する。

本実施例に係る空気清浄機は自動車等の車両の室内の天井側に取り付けられるものであり、図1に示すように、薄型つまり偏平型の本体1と、本体1のファン室1aに配置されたファン2と、本体1内のフィルタ収容室1bに配置された吸着部として機能する集塵フィルタ3と、本体1内に配置された吸着部として機能する光触媒40を収容した光触媒ホルダ4とを有する。図1に示すように、本体1は、車体の室内側の前面板10と車体側の裏面板11とを一体的に連結して形成された箱形のボディ12と、室内に対面するようにボディ12の下面に着脱可能に装備された化粧グリル5とをもつ。

裏面板11のうちフィルタ収容室1bにおいては、図1に示すように、フィルタ収容室1bの容積が増加する方向に裏面板11の壁部分11wを退避させることにより凹み部15が形成されている。凹み部15はフィルタ収容室1bの上部側に配置されている。図1に示すファン2は、複数の回転羽根20と、回転羽根20を駆動させる駆動部21とを有し、車体の室内Rの空気を吸気口52を介して吸引する。

図1において、前記した化粧グリル5は、本体1のボディ12の下面の半分以上を覆うと共に多数の吸気口52を形成する吸気グリル51と、吸気グリル51の下流側に設けられた装着用開口53に着脱可能に装着された吹出グリル54とを有する。吸気グリル51は、室内Rに対面するように本体1の下面に着脱可能に装着されている。吹出グリル54は室内Rに対面しており、多数の吹出口55をもつ。吹出グリル54を吸気グリル51の装着用開口53に取り付けるにあたっては、図2から理解できるように、吹出グリル54の一端側の係止爪56を吸気グリル51の被係止部51sに係止させると共に、吹出グリル54の他端側のグリル係止爪54xを吸気グリル51の下流部51sのグリル係止爪51xに着脱可能に係止させる。

図1に示すように、本体1内において吹出口55と吸気口52との間には空気流路1cが形成されている。空気流路1cにおいては、上流側から下流側にかけて、吸気口52に対面するファン2、主として塵埃等を捕獲する集塵フィルタ3、主としてたばこ等の臭い等を除去する光触媒ホルダ4が順に配置されている。

集塵フィルタ3は、空気透過性及び可撓性をもつ薄板状のフィルタ材を山部及び谷部を交互に形成するようにプリーツ状に織り込まれて形成されており、全体外観は実質的に四角箱状をなしており、図2に示すように、上面部3u、下面部3d、側面部3eをもつ。図2に示すように、集塵フィルタ3の上流端3fの端面3foは本体1の裏面板11のフィルタ上流係止部19に係止されており、これにより空気流路1cを流れる空気が凹み部15内に進入しないようにシールしていると共に、集塵フィルタ3の挿入方向への位置決めを行っている。

図2に示すように、集塵フィルタ3の下流端3rは、本体1の裏面板11に保持されたフィルタ下流係止部1xに微量ぶん係止されており、これによっても集塵フィルタ3の挿入方向への位置決め、集塵フィルタ3のがた防止を行っている。

更に、集塵フィルタ3の下流端3rには、シール性の向上、集塵フィルタ3のがたつきを一層抑えるためのクッション材31が一体的に保持されている。

光触媒ホルダ4は、吹出グリル54及び励起手段49に対面するように設けられている。光触媒ホルダ4は空気透過性のための窓をもち、着脱可能に互いに一定的に取り付けられた第1ケース41及び第2ケース46で薄型つまり偏平型の箱状に形成されており、前述したように多数個の光触媒40をがたつかないように光触媒40を高密度で収容している。光触媒40は微小球状であり、TiO2を主要成分としている。

図1、図2に示すように、光触媒ホルダ4に対面するように、光触媒ホルダ4の上方に、光触媒40を励起させる励起手段49が本体1内に保持されている。励起手段49は多数個の発光ダイオード49mを並設して形成されており、全体として薄型つまり偏平型をなしている。発光ダイオード49mは窒化ガリウム系光半導体で形成されており、短波長の光(発光波長ピーク:380nm程度)を光触媒40に照射するものであり、空気流路1cに露出している。発光ダイオード49mからの光が照射されると、光触媒40は励起されて活性化し、光触媒40に付着しているにおい物質等の物質を分解する作用が高まる。

さて本実施例に係る空気清浄機の取付構造について説明を加える。図1、図3、図4に示すように、空気清浄機の本体1の先端部1fの中央域には、1個の差込爪部材80が本体1の面方向に沿った方向に突出するように設けられている。差込爪部材80は幅広型であり、比較的広い幅寸法M1(図3参照)を有する。差込爪部材80は、図5に示すように、本体1の先端部1fから横方向に突設された延設部80aと、延設部80aの先端に突設された爪機能をもつ差込頭部80cとを備えている。図5に示すように、差込頭部80cは、差込方向の先方に向かうにつれて上向きに突出する突出部分80coと、突出部分80coの突出方向と逆向き(下向き)に突出する突出部分80c1とをもつ。即ち、差込爪部材80は、差込方向と交差する方向においてその両側に突出部分80co、80c1をもつ。これにより差込爪部材80の外れ止め性が向上する。差込爪部材80を本体1の面方向に、つまり矢印F1方向に沿って本体1と共に移動させると、第1天井側リンフォース部101の横長な差込孔101rに挿入される。なお、差込孔101rは、差込爪部材80が本体1から突出している方向(差込爪部材80の差込方向)に沿って貫通している。

上記したように差込孔101rに差込爪部材80が差し込まれた状態では、本体1は本体1の長さ方向(差込爪部材80の差込方向)に沿って位置調整することができる。また差込孔101rの内縁101roと差込爪部材80との間には余裕空間があるため、本体1は本体1の高さ方向にも位置調整することができる。更に本体1は本体1の幅方向にも位置調整することができる。

更に図3、図4に示すように、空気清浄機の本体1の後端部1rに2個の取付片82が並設状態に突設されており、各取付片82に押込爪部材90が着脱可能に取り付けられている。押込爪部材90は合計2個設けられている。図7に示すように、本体1の後端部1rに突設された取付片82には、後方が開放された保持開口83が形成されている。この保持開口83は、取付片82の後端82rに向かうにつれて拡開する拡開開口84と、拡開開口84に連通する円形開口85とで形成されている。押込爪部材90は樹脂等の弾性材料で形成されており、図6に示すように、軸部91と、軸部91の先端に設けられた径大の押込頭部92と、軸部91の中間部に径方向に延設されたリップ部93と、軸部91の基端部に径方向に延設された抜け止め部94と、リップ部93と抜け止め部94との間に形成された溝95とを有する。押込爪部材90を矢印W1方向(図7参照)に相対移動させ拡開開口84を経て円形開口85に挿入する。これにより押込爪部材90の溝95が取付片82に嵌合保持される。差込爪部材80の差込方向と交差する方向、つまり矢印F2方向(本体1の高さ方向)に沿って、押込爪部材90を本体1と共に移動させると、押込爪部材90の押込頭部92は、第2天井側リンフォース部102の押込孔102rに強制的に圧入され、係止される。なお、押込孔102rは、差込爪部材80の差込方向と交差する方向、つまり本体1の高さ方向に沿って貫通している。

上記したように押込孔102rに押込爪部材90が押し込まれた状態では、押込爪部材90と取付片82の保持開口83の内壁面との間には若干の余裕空間があるため、本体1は本体1の長さ方向にも幅方向にも位置調整することができる。なお、図3に示すように、差込爪部材80及び押込爪部材90は本体1の長さ方向の両端部に互いに背向するように設けられている
更に図3、図4に示すように、空気清浄機の本体1の上面には、幅方向の両端側には本固定部13が2個設けられている。本固定部13は、本体1の長さ方向において差込爪部材80と押込爪部材90との間に配置されている。図4から理解できるように、車体の第3天井側リンフォース部103には本固定孔103rが形成されており、本固定孔103rは、差込爪部材80の差込方向と交差する方向、つまり本体1の高さ方向に沿って貫通している。なお、本固定孔103rには樹脂製の本固定用のクリップ104が圧入されて予め保持されている。

そして図4に示すように、取付に際しては、タッピング機能をもつ雄ネジ101及びボルト頭部102を有する取付ボルト100を用いる。そのボルト頭部102を下にした状態で、取付ボルト100をこれの先端から本固定部13の挿入孔14に挿入すると共に、取付ボルト100のボルト頭部102を工具等で回転させることにより、取付ボルト100の雄ネジ101でクリップ104にタッピングにより雌ネジ105を強制的に形成する。これにより取付ボルト100の雄ネジ101とクリップ104の雌ネジ105とが螺着する。よって本体1の本固定部13を車体の第3天井側リンフォース部103に本固定することができる。

このように本固定した状態では、雌ネジ105と雄ネジ101とが螺着して締結されているため、空気清浄機の本体1の必要取付強度は確保される。なお、前記した第1天井側リンフォース部101、第2天井側リンフォース部102、第3天井側リンフォース部103は、車体に補強のため装備されている金属製の部材であり、本発明に係る被取付部を構成する。

空気清浄機を車体の室内Rの天井側に取り付ける場合について、更に説明を加える。この場合には、吸気グリル51と吹出グリル54とからなる化粧グリル5が本体1から取り外されている状態とする。そして図4から理解できるように、本体1の先端部1fの差込爪部材80を本体1の面方向に沿ってつまり矢印F1方向(本体1の長さ方向)に沿って本体1と共に移動させることにより、車体側の第1天井側リンフォース部101の差込孔101rに差込爪部材80を挿入して係止する。この状態では、本体1の後端部1rは、本体1の高さ方向に沿って昇降させることができる。

そして、本体1の後端部1rを押込爪部材90と共に、差込爪部材80の差込方向と交差する方向、つまり矢印F2方向(本体1の高さ方向)に沿って移動させることにより、押込爪部材90の押込頭部92を車体側の第2天井側リンフォース部102の押込孔102rに圧入して係止する。この状態では、空気清浄機の本体1は1個の差込爪部材80と2個の押込爪部材90により3点で仮保持される。

本実施例に係る差込爪部材80は幅広型であるため、幅狭型である場合に比較して、差込爪部材80は第1天井側リンフォース部101の差込孔101rの周縁に安定的に仮保持されるため、本体1の仮保持性が向上する。なお、上記した仮保持状態では、差込爪部材80及び押込爪部材90は、前述したように位置調整可能であるため、車体の第3天井側リンフォース部103の本固定孔103rと本体1の本固定部13の挿入孔14との位置合わせを、簡便に行うことができる。

上記したように空気清浄機の本体1を仮保持した状態で、前述したように、取付ボルト100のボルト頭部102を下にした状態で、取付ボルト100を本固定部13の挿入孔14に挿入すると共に、取付ボルト100のボルト頭部102を工具等で回転させる。これにより取付ボルト100の雄ネジ101でクリップ104にタッピングにより雌ネジ105を形成し、雌ネジ105と雄ネジ101とを螺着させる。これにより空気清浄機の本体1の本固定部13を車体の天井側の被取付部である第3天井側リンフォース部103に本固定することができる。このように空気清浄機の本体1を本固定した状態では、車体側の被取付部である第1天井側リンフォース部101の差込孔101rに差込爪部材80が係止していると共に、第2天井側リンフォース部102の押込孔102rに押込爪部材90が係止しているため、本体1に対する外れ止め性が一層向上する。

上記したように本実施例では、空気清浄機の本体1をこれが自然落下せぬよう天井側リンフォース部101,102に仮保持した状態で、空気清浄機の本体1を天井側リンフォース部103に本固定することができるため、本固定時には、空気清浄機の本体1を作業者またはロボット等で支えていなくても良い。更に作業者またはロボット等は無理な姿勢を強いられることも抑えられるため、取付作業性を向上させ得るばかりか、作業者の安全性の向上にも貢献できる。

ところで、図1、図2に示す天井壁部200はルーフライニングともよばれ、室内Rの内装壁部を構成するものであり、薄い板状をなしており、室内Rに対面する意匠性の高い表皮層201と、表皮層201の裏面に貼り合わされた裏打層202とで形成されている。

図1に示すように、本体1の周囲には突起リブ形状をなす複数の挟持部16が設けられている。上記したように空気清浄機の本体1を第3天井側リンフォース部103に本固定した後に、本体1の周囲に天井壁部200を配置する。その後、吸気グリル51と吹出グリル54とからなる化粧グリル5を、本体1の下面部に取り付ける。この結果、図1、図2、図5等に示すように、本体1の周囲に存在する天井壁部200の端末部204をこれの厚み方向に化粧グリル5の吸気グリル51の外端51pと挟持部16とで挟持すると共に、天井壁部200の端末部204にこれの下側から吸気グリル51の外端51pを食い込ませる。このようにすれば本体1の周囲の天井壁部200の端末部204の固定性が向上し、本体1の周囲の天井壁部200の端末部204の剥離を防止するのに有利である。更に、吸気グリル51の外端51pが天井壁部200の端末部204に食い込んでいるため、車体の室内Rの内装材である天井壁部200の端末部204と吸気グリル51との境界域における段差が低減され、吸気グリル51と天井壁部200の端末部204との平滑性が向上し、該境界域における見栄えの向上を図り得る。図3に示すように、本体1の周囲には多数の挟持部16が設けられているため、上記のように挟持部16を利用した吸気グリル51の外端51pの食い込み作用は多数箇所で行われ、本体1の周囲における見栄えの向上を図り得る。なお、吸気グリル51の外端51pは、食い込み性を向上させるために、食い込み方向即ちやや上向きに曲成されている。

本実施例においては、本体1、励起手段49、光触媒ホルダ4は薄型であるため、空気清浄機の薄型化に貢献でき、車両の室内Rにおいても違和感なく天井側に取り付けられ、車体の室内Rを広く確保するのに有利である。

なお、空気清浄機を使用する場合には、ファン2を回転させると共に励起手段49の発光ダイオード49mを発光させる。ファン2の回転により車両の室内Rの空気は、吸気グリル51の吸気口52から吸引され、空気流路1cを流れ、集塵フィルタ3、光触媒40を経て浄化される。浄化された空気は吹出グリル54の吹出口55から室内Rに吹き出される。これにより室内Rが清浄化される。空気中の塵埃等のように比較的大きい粒子は集塵フィルタ3で捕獲され、空気中の臭い物質等の粒子等のように極微の粒子は光触媒40に吸着される。光触媒40に付着された物質は次第に分解除去される。

上記した実施例では、差込爪部材80は幅広型とされているが、これに限られるものではなく、幅狭型でも良く、棒状でも良い。差込爪部材80の数は1個であるが、これに限らず2個とすることもできる。押込爪部材90の数は2個であるが、1個でも、3個でも良い。内装壁部は、表皮をもつ積層構造の天井壁部200で構成されているが、これに限られるものではなく、単層構造でも良い。上記した実施例では、本固定部13は本体1に2個設けられているが、これに限らず、場合によっては1個でも、3個でも、4個でも、それ以上でも良い。被取付部は車体の補強部材であるリンフォース部に限定されるものではなく、要するに、空気清浄機の本体1を取り付け得る強度を有するものでは有ればよい。上記した実施例では、吸着部として集塵フィルタ3及び光触媒40の双方を設けているが、これに限らず、集塵フィルタ3及び光触媒40のうちのいずれか一方でも良い。
その他、本発明は上記し且つ図面に示した実施例のみに限定されるものではなく、要旨を逸脱しない範囲内で適宜変更して実施できるものである。上記した実施例は本発明の概念を例示したものであり、実施例に記載の語句、部材、部材を修飾している語句は、一部であっても、各請求項に記載できるものである。
