【0001】
2047=211−1

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a phase difference adjustment apparatus using a pseudo noise signal that automatically adjusts a phase difference between two signals, and more particularly to a technique for adjusting a phase difference between two signals using a pseudo noise signal.
[0002]
[Prior art]
For example, since a video signal of a television signal is generally subjected to signal processing such as transmission after being encoded and compressed, the amount of code generated differs depending on the type of image. Therefore, after such signal processing is performed, the phase of the video signal changes and the phase of the video signal and the audio signal shifts. Therefore, it is necessary to perform phase matching between the video signal and the audio signal.
[0003]
In the conventional phase difference adjustment device, a buffer memory is provided between the transmission line and the delay amount of the video signal of the audio signal is obtained and the delay time of the audio signal is adjusted, but the phase difference is adjusted. For this purpose, a reference signal is inserted at a specific position between the video signal and the audio signal, and the time difference between them is measured to delay the one that has advanced (see JP-A-7-38771). . A high-frequency signal with a low frequency of appearance is used as a reference signal in the audio signal.
[0004]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, in the method of inserting a high-frequency reference signal at a specific position between a video signal and an audio signal as in the conventional phase difference adjusting device, it is good if there is no similar signal, but noise such as transmission path noise It is necessary to avoid the influence, and therefore it is necessary to protect the reference signal.
[0005]
In addition, it is not easy to obtain the delay amount in the buffer memory because the relationship between the generated code and the transmission line must be obtained. Also, in the method of adjusting with human eyes and ears, it takes time to adjust the delay amount, and the accuracy is not so good.
The present invention has been made in view of such a conventional problem, and provides a phase difference adjusting device using a pseudo noise signal that can easily and automatically adjust the phase difference between two signals using a pseudo noise signal. For the purpose.
[0006]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
For this reason, the apparatus according to the first aspect of the present invention is the phase difference adjustment apparatus using the pseudo noise signal for automatically adjusting the phase difference after the predetermined signal processing of the two signals of the video signal and the audio signal . First pseudo noise generating means for generating one pseudo noise signal, second pseudo noise generating means for generating a second pseudo noise signal having the same period as the first pseudo noise signal, and the predetermined signal processing Before, for each predetermined pixel of the video signal, a first pseudo noise signal adding means for adding a first pseudo noise signal operating at a predetermined clock, and before the predetermined signal processing, the first pseudo noise signal is converted into the video signal. A second pseudo noise signal adding means for adding a second pseudo noise signal to the audio signal simultaneously with the same phase as that to be added; and after the predetermined signal processing, having the same period and the same pattern as the first pseudo noise signal. having a first code, and the video signal By calculating a correlation value between the first code, the first correlation pulse detection means for detecting a correlation pulse of the video signal, after the predetermined signal processing, the second pseudo noise signal and the same period, the same pattern No. A second correlation pulse detecting means for detecting a correlation pulse of the audio signal by calculating a correlation value between the audio signal and the second code, and a detected video signal and audio signal . Phase difference detection means for detecting the phase difference between the video signal and the audio signal based on the correlation pulse; and a phase difference adjustment means for adjusting the phase difference between the two signals so that the phases of the two detected signals coincide with each other. It is provided.
[0007]
According to such a configuration, before the predetermined signal processing, the first pseudo noise signal adding means adds the first pseudo noise signal operating at the predetermined clock to each predetermined pixel of the video signal , and the second pseudo noise signal is added. Even if the first pseudo noise signal and the operation clock are different from each other in the audio signal, the second pseudo noise signal having the same period is simultaneously added in the same phase by the noise signal adding means. Since the pseudo noise signal is spread over a wide band, it does not affect the video signal and the audio signal , and is not affected by noise or the like. Therefore, it is not necessary to protect this pseudo noise signal. Further, since the phase information is dispersed, even if a part of the phase information is affected by noise or the like, the detection capability is not affected. Further, if a correlation value between the pseudo noise signal and a code having the same cycle and the same pattern is calculated, the correlation value becomes high at the time when the pseudo noise signal and the code match, and a correlation pulse is generated. Accordingly, the phase difference between the two signals is detected by the phase difference detection means from the time when the correlation pulse between the video signal and the audio signal is detected. Then, the phase difference is adjusted by the phase difference adjusting means so that the phase difference between both signals coincides. Further, the signal amount of the video signal is larger than the signal amount of the audio signal, but the phase difference can be easily detected, and the phase difference is adjusted with high accuracy. As described above, if the pseudo noise signal is used, the phase detection signals are not concentrated at the specific position, and the phases of both signals can be detected.
[0008]
In the apparatus according to the second aspect of the invention, the predetermined signal processing is processing for encoding and compressing and decoding and decompressing at least one of the signals .
[0009]
According to such a configuration, the phase difference between the two signals can be accurately adjusted even if the code amounts generated by the encoding compression and decoding expansion processes are different .

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to FIGS.
In FIG. 1 showing the present embodiment, a digital video signal and a digital audio signal are input to a phase difference adjusting device using a pseudo noise signal.
The digital video signal is, for example, a signal corresponding to a first signal obtained by A / D-converting a high-definition signal at 74.25 MHz, and is parallel data. The data rate is 18.5625 MHz due to the four-phase processing.
[0011]
The digital audio signal is, for example, a signal corresponding to a second signal that has been A / D converted at 48 kHz, and is serial data. Since the data rate is serial data, it is 3.072 MHz (= 48 * 64). This standard is based on “Japan Electronic Machinery Manufacturers Association; Digital Audio Interface, CP-340, Audio Technical Committee, established in September 1987”.
[0012]
The
The pseudo-noise signal is an acronym for Pseudo Random Noise, also called a PN sequence. An M-sequence code (maximum periodic sequence code) generator composed of multiple shift registers and linear arithmetic circuits It is possible to easily generate a pseudo noise signal.
[0013]
FIG. 2 shows a configuration example of a simple M-sequence code generator having four shift registers. The pseudo noise will be described based on the M-sequence code generator of FIG.
In this M-sequence code generator, four

With such a configuration, the data circulates as shown in Table 1, and is shifted once to make a round. Therefore, the period of this M-sequence code generator is 15.
[0015]
[Table 1]
[0016]
In general, the period of the M-sequence code generator is represented by (2 n −1) where n is the number of shift registers.
In this M-sequence code generator, the value of the
[0017]
Since the PN sequence is generated by a plurality of shift registers, it is not a completely random sequence signal, but it passes a statistical test to confirm randomness, and is called “pseudorandom”.
The PN sequence has the following random properties.
(1) The number of times “1” appears and the number of times “0” appear within each period of the balanced PN sequence differ only by one. In the example of the M-sequence code generator of FIG. 2, the numbers of occurrences of “0” and “1” are 7 times and 8 times, respectively, and the difference is “1”.
(2) Continuity Of the “1 series” and “0 series” included in one cycle, half of each series is “1”, 1/4 is “2”, 1/8 is “3”. . . That is, a series of k exists at a rate of 1/2 k . In the example of the M-sequence code generator in FIG. 2, the series number is as follows.
[0018]
One with a series of 1 is half of the

[0019]
In general, the correlation between the signal c (t) in continuous time and the signal c (t + τ) obtained by shifting the signal c (t) by time τ is the continuous time self as shown in the following equation (1). It is defined as the correlation function R cc (τ).
[0020]
[Expression 1]
[0021]
(1)
In the example of the M-sequence code generator of FIG. 2, when the autocorrelation value is calculated by the equation (1), it becomes 1 when the phases coincide with each other and becomes −1 / T c in the other phases. Accordingly, the autocorrelation function R cc (τ) has a waveform as shown in FIG.
[0022]
Due to such autocorrelation characteristics of the PN sequence, signals spread over a wide band can be collected and restored to the original information.
FIG. 5 shows a circuit example of a correlator that detects a correlation value of a 4-bit PN sequence corresponding to the M-sequence code generator as shown in FIG.
That is, this correlator corresponds to the M-sequence code generator having the configuration shown in FIG. 2, and includes four

First, considering the common frequency, the data rates of the digital video signal and digital audio signal are 18.5625 MHz and 3.072 MHz, respectively.
Video signal: 18562500 / (5 3 x 3 x 11) = 18562500/12375 = 1500Hz
Audio signal: 3072000/2 11 = 3072000/2048 = 1500Hz
Thus, the common frequency is 1500 Hz. That is, if the ratio of the count number of the video signal and the audio signal is 12375: 2048, the common frequency is 1500 Hz, and the phase matching between the video signal and the audio signal can be performed. Also,
Video signal: 12375 = 2047 x 6 + 93
Audio signal: 2048 = 2047 x 1 + 1
Thus, the
2047 = 2 11 -1
Therefore, 2047 bits may be used as one period of the PN sequence. That is, in the present embodiment, the

As a result, the period of the PN sequence is as follows.
Video signal: (2047 x 6 + 93) x 64/18562500 = 43 (ms)
Audio signal: (2047 x 1 + 1) x 64/3072000 = 43 (ms)
The 64 clocks is the number of clocks based on the audio signal standard.
[0026]
However, in this case, the shortest cycle is assumed, and the phase can be adjusted within a range of ± 21 (ms). When expanding the phase adjustment range, for example, when adjusting the phase within the range of ± 21 x 10 (ms), the

In the video signal, as shown in FIG. 6, 2047 bits of the PN code are distributed and added to each pixel data of the video signal. That is, each bit of the PN code is added every 6 pixels of the video signal. Each pixel of the video signal is represented by parallel data, but 1 bit of the PN code is added to 1 bit which is visually unnoticeable in the parallel data of the video signal. Thus, even if the operation clocks are different between the video signal and the audio signal, their periods are the same, and the pseudo noise is simultaneously added in the same phase.

[0045]
According to such a configuration, the PN sequence is added to the video signal and the audio signal to perform phase matching. Therefore, the video signal and the audio signal can be accurately and automatically processed even after the encoding compression / decoding expansion processing. In addition, the video signal and the audio signal can be phase-matched. Further, since the PN sequence is spread over a wide band and has randomness, even if the PN sequence is added, the video signal and the audio signal are not affected.
[0046]
In the conventional apparatus, so as not to be affected by noise, it is necessary to protect the Reference Les Nsu signal of the high frequency is not affected by the noise by using a PN sequence, protecting the PN sequence The configuration is unnecessary and the circuit configuration can be simplified. Further, since the PN sequence is dispersed and added to the video signal and the audio signal, even if some phase information is broken due to noise in the transmission path, it is not affected and the detection capability is high.
[0047]
In this embodiment, the phase alignment between the video signal and the audio signal has been described. However, the present invention is not limited to this, and any signal can be applied as long as the two signals are phase aligned. The processing is not limited to compression processing and transmission processing.
In this embodiment, since a PN sequence is inserted into a visually unrecognizable bit of a video signal for a video signal, there is no problem, but a demodulator that removes the PN sequence may be provided. .
[0048]
【The invention's effect】
As described above, according to the apparatus of the first aspect of the present invention, the phase difference between the video signal and the audio signal can be adjusted with high accuracy by using the pseudo noise signal. Further, since the pseudo noise signal is spread over a wide band and has randomness, it is not necessary to protect the pseudo noise signal and is not easily affected by noise or the like. In addition, since the phase information is dispersed, it is less susceptible to noise, and the phase difference detection capability is improved. In addition, the phase difference can be easily obtained even between the video signal and the audio signal having greatly different signal amounts, and the phase difference can be accurately adjusted.
[0049]
According to the apparatus of the second aspect of the present invention, the phase difference can be adjusted with high precision even if the code amounts generated by the encoding compression and decoding expansion processes are different .
