【発明の属する技術分野】
本発明は、魚貝類などの海産物、その他の野菜や果実などの各種生鮮物の運搬、保管などに用いる紙製保冷箱に係り、詳しくは段ボール紙や厚紙などの紙製板材からなる簡易組立て型の紙製保冷箱に関する。

【従来の技術】
魚貝類などの海産物を搬送する際の鮮度保持や、保管時の積み上げ荷重、運搬時等の落下衝撃等から保護するための保冷箱として、ウレタンフォームや発泡スチロール等からなる合成樹脂製保冷箱が幅広く用いられている。

この合成樹脂製保冷箱は、保冷性、耐強度、耐久性、そして衝撃吸収性などに優れている反面、使用後の処理に際して環境に対する悪影響などが懸念され、又、リサイクルが困難である等の理由から、現在ではその使用が制限される傾向にある。
そこで、この合成樹脂製保冷箱に替わるものとして、段ボール紙などにより組み立てられる紙製保冷箱が提案されている。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
しかし乍ら、この紙製保冷箱は、前述の合成樹脂製保冷箱に比べると保冷能力、耐久性、そして衝撃吸収性などの面において劣り、実用に満足な効果が得らていない。例えば実開昭55-173488号公報等において知られているように、二層壁構造の内面板と外面板との間の隙間に保冷、補強のための発泡スチロールを充填するなどの手段が採られていた。

本発明はこの様な従来事情に鑑みてなされたもので、その目的とする処は、合成樹脂製保冷箱と同程度の保冷機能、耐強度、耐久性に優れ、そして衝撃吸収性、積圧強度においても優れ、更には魚貝類などの海産物等と共に収容される氷が解けた場合でも水漏れの心配が無い等、特に氷を使用する魚介類等を搬送する際に好適な紙製保冷箱を提供することにある。
