Description
【0001】

(NO2 +C→NO+CO,NO2 +CO→NO+CO2 ,2NO2 +C→2NO+CO2 )。

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to an exhaust particle processing apparatus for an internal combustion engine.
[0002]
[Prior art]
In the exhaust system of the diesel engine, a particulate filter for collecting harmful exhaust particulates (particulates) is arranged. In such a particulate filter, if the collection amount of exhaust particulates increases, the exhaust resistance becomes large. Therefore, it is necessary to periodically burn the collected exhaust particulates and regenerate the particulate filter. .
[0003]
In order for the particulates to spontaneously burn using oxygen in the exhaust gas, the particulate filter must be at a fairly high temperature. Therefore, Japanese Utility Model Laid-Open No. 63-21718 discloses that when the particulate filter temperature is low during regeneration, intake throttling is performed to bring the exhaust gas temperature into a temperature region suitable for high temperature regeneration of the particulate filter. It is disclosed to enhance.
[0004]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
In order to implement intake throttling, an intake throttling valve is required in a diesel engine. Furthermore, if the intake throttle is performed, combustion and fuel consumption deteriorate, which is not preferable for engine operation.
[0005]
Also, NO in the particulates2It has been found that the particulate burns even when the particulate filter is at a relatively low temperature. However, most of the nitrogen oxides contained in the exhaust gas are NO, and an oxidation catalyst is disposed upstream of the particulate filter to reduce NO.2It is required to oxidize. This oxidation reaction by the oxidation catalyst depends on the exhaust gas temperature and becomes active only when the exhaust gas temperature is within a predetermined range. As a result, NO during particulate filter regeneration2In order to burn the particulates using the above, it is necessary to lower the exhaust gas temperature and change it within a predetermined temperature range.
[0006]
In this way, it is necessary to change the exhaust gas temperature during regeneration of the particulate filter, and in order not to sacrifice the engine operation, it is conceivable to provide an external heating and cooling device, but this significantly increases the cost and fuel consumption. Is brought about.
[0007]
Accordingly, an object of the present invention is to provide an exhaust particulate processing device for a diesel engine that does not require external heating and cooling devices and does not deteriorate combustion and fuel consumption when changing exhaust gas temperature during particulate filter regeneration. It is to be.
[0008]
[Means for Solving the Problems]

【The invention's effect】
As described above, according to the exhaust particle processing apparatus for a diesel engine according to the first aspect of the present invention, when the particulate filter is regenerated, the exhaust gas temperature is changed within the temperature range suitable for the particulate filter regeneration. The engine output is changed. Thereby, the combustion at this time does not deteriorate. Further, since the change in the engine output is offset by the load change of the auxiliary machine, the vehicle speed does not change. Further, since the auxiliary machine can store the engine output as energy, especially when the engine output is increased, the increase in the engine output is recovered as energy, and the fuel consumption is not deteriorated.
[0035]
AlsoThe machineAn oxidation catalyst is arranged on the upstream side of the particulate filter in the exhaust system, and NO converted by the oxidation catalyst is in a temperature range suitable for particulate filter regeneration.2And a second temperature range higher than the first temperature range enabling the particulates to spontaneously burn, so that exhaust gas is generated during regeneration of the particulate filter. If the gas temperature is within these two temperature ranges, there is no need to change the exhaust gas temperature, and the opportunity to change the exhaust gas temperature is reduced.
[0036]
Also, ExhaustWhen the gas temperature is higher than the first temperature range and lower than the second temperature range, when the energy accumulated by the auxiliary equipment is sufficient, the engine output is reduced and the load on the auxiliary equipment is reduced to reduce the exhaust gas temperature to the first temperature range. In order to raise the exhaust gas temperature within the second temperature range by lowering the temperature within one temperature range and increasing the engine output and increasing the load on the auxiliary equipment when the energy stored by the accessory is insufficient, The particulate filter can be regenerated relatively early without sacrificing the function of the auxiliary machine.
[0037]
Claims2According to the diesel engine exhaust particulate processing apparatus according to the present invention, ExhaustWhen the gas temperature is higher than the first temperature range and lower than the second temperature range, when the exhaust gas temperature is closer to the first temperature range than the second temperature range, the engine output is reduced and the load on the auxiliary machine is reduced. The exhaust gas temperature is lowered into the first temperature range, and when the exhaust gas temperature is closer to the second temperature range than the first temperature range, the engine output is increased and the load on the auxiliary machine is increased to increase the exhaust gas. In order to raise the temperature within the second temperature range, the temperature change of the exhaust gas can be reduced during regeneration of the particulate filter, that is, the change in the engine output and the change in the load on the auxiliary machine can be reduced. .
