Description
【0001】

[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, in the conventional image reading apparatus, when the reading speed is increased to some extent, it is difficult to make the wire for driving the reading optical system thinner. This is because the portion where the metal fitting for fixing the mirror base of the wire is caulked repeatedly bends and rubs when the optical system is driven, and the metal fitting may possibly be damaged as the durability progresses.
[0010]
Conventionally, the drive shaft for winding the optical drive wire is often arranged outside the document reading area, and even if the reading optical system moves to the end position, a metal fitting for fixing the mirror base is used. The bending angle of the wire at the crimped portion was kept to a minimum.
[0011]
However, in recent years, in order to reduce the size of the device, it is required to arrange the drive shaft on the inner side as compared with the conventional one. .
[0012]
The present invention has been made in view of the above problems, and the purpose of the treatment is to prevent the damage even if the crimped portion by the crimping member of the wire repeatedly receives bending and friction, and by reducing the diameter of the wire. An object of the present invention is to provide an image reading apparatus that can be reduced in cost and size.
[0013]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to achieve the above object, the invention described in claim 1 includes a placement unit for placing a document, a first scanning optical unit and a second scanning optical unit that move under the placement unit, and the first scanning optical unit. And an image reading apparatus comprising a wire for moving the second scanning optical unit in conjunction with the crimping member for fixing the wire and the scanning optical unit, and when the scanning optical unit moves within a moving range. Only one end of the caulking member on the opposite side to the side where the change amount of the bending angle of the wire is large at both ends of the caulking member is partially caulked to the wire.
[0014]
The invention according to claim 2 is characterized in that, in the invention according to claim 1, a curvature is provided at the other end portion of the caulking member in contact with the wire.
[0015]
According to a third aspect of the present invention, in the first aspect of the present invention, the other end of the caulking member is expanded in a trumpet shape.
[0016]
