ρ2=1.1ρ1〜2.0ρ1
【0027】
ρ2 =1.1ρ1 〜2.0ρ1 ・・・(1)

【The invention's effect】
As is clear from the above description, the plasma addressed liquid crystal display device according to the present invention has a base layer formed by applying a paste material between the second substrate and the second electrode. The viscosity of the paste material forming the base layer is larger than the viscosity of the paste material forming the second electrode, so that abnormal discharge due to electric field concentration can be suppressed in the second electrode. In addition, since the area of the opening for backlight illumination in the second substrate is increased, the illuminance of the backlight illumination can be increased.
[0039]
Further, by setting the thickness of the second electrode to 40 to 100 μm, the substrate glass is not warped, and it is possible to prevent occurrence of cracking of the thin plate glass and peeling of the seal of the liquid crystal cell.
