Description
【0001】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a low noise chain having a roller formed of a spring wire.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Conventionally, as a chain having a structure for reducing noise generated when performing chain transmission, it is described in Japanese Utility Model Laid-Open No. 40-22575 and US Pat. No. 2,909,938. In addition, a roller formed by a spring is known.
[0003]
As disclosed in Japanese Utility Model Laid-Open No. 40-22575 and U.S. Pat. No. 2,909,938, as shown in FIG. 3, the chain 10 has an
[0004]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
The chain using the spring roller as described above has a significant noise reduction effect of about 8 to 11 dB at the beginning of the operation as compared with a normal chain. However, after a while from the start of the operation, it occurs between the adjacent spring wire rods of the spring roller itself, between the spring roller and the inner plate, between the spring roller and the sprocket, or between the spring roller and the bush. High frequency sliding noise tends to increase and tend to be equal to or even greater than the noise level during chain operation using standard rollers.
[0005]
The sliding noise of the spring roller can be reduced to some extent by pre-lubricating the chain, but there is a problem that the increase over time of the sliding noise can be fundamentally solved depending on the lubrication. is there.
Accordingly, an object of the present invention is to solve the problems of the prior art as described above, and to provide a low noise chain in which the noise level does not increase with time.
[0006]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
For the above purpose, the low-noise chain of the present invention is fixed to a spring roller formed in a middle-and-high barrel shape with a tightly wound spring wire, a bush that rotatably holds the spring roller, and both ends of the bush. An inner plate, a pin that passes through the bush so as to rotate freely, and an outer plate fixed to both ends of the pin.
The maximum diameter of the spring roller is formed to be slightly larger than the tooth bottom diameter of the meshing sprocket, and a slipping resin film is formed on the surface of the spring wire.
[0007]
[Action]
During chain operation, the spring rollers are in sliding contact with each other between the spring wire of the spring roller itself, between the spring roller and the inner plate, between the spring roller and the sprocket, or between the spring roller and the bush, but do not slide on the surface of the spring wire. Therefore, the noise generated by sliding is reduced, and the low noise state is maintained even after a lapse of time after the operation is started.
[0008]
In addition, since the maximum diameter of the spring roller is slightly larger than the root diameter of the meshing sprocket, before the spring roller collides with the sprocket tooth bottom, the spring roller has a circular cross section. A buffering action is generated by elastically deforming into an elliptical shape, and a chain operating noise is reduced by a synergistic effect with the action of the sliding resin film.
[0009]
【Example】
Embodiments of the present invention will be described below with reference to the drawings. FIG. 1 is a view showing an embodiment of a low noise chain according to the present invention. The low noise chain 1 is fixed to both ends of a pin 2 in the same manner as a chain using a normal roller. An outer plate 3, an inner plate 5 fixed opposite to both ends of the bush 4, and a spring roller 6 rotatably mounted on the bush 4 are provided, and the pin 2 is rotatable about the center of the bush 4. The outer plate 3 and the inner plate 5 are alternately connected and penetrated.
[0010]
The spring roller 6 uses a spring wire 6A such as SWP-A type, SWB-B type, SWOSC-V type or the like as its material, and the spring rollers 6 are closely packed so that the adjacent spring wire materials 6A are always in contact with each other. Further, it is formed in a middle-and-high barrel shape so as to have a maximum diameter at the central portion in the axial direction.
[0011]
The maximum diameter of the spring roller 6 is formed to be slightly larger by about 7 to 10% than the root diameter of the meshing sprocket. Further, the length and the inner diameter of the spring roller 6 are formed to have the same dimensions as the length and the inner diameter of a standard roller adapted to the sprocket. The spring roller 6 is subjected to a shot peening process in order to improve fatigue strength and wear resistance. In addition, as shown in the figure, the manufacturing cost can be reduced by omitting the polishing finish and the like by keeping the both ends of the wound spring wire 6 </ b> A.
[0012]
On the inner and outer surfaces of the spring roller 6, a resin film C of ethylene tetrafluoride is deposited as a slipping resin by a method such as coating, coating, or dipping. The resin film C is formed so as to penetrate between the spring wire members 6A that are closely adjacent to each other from the inner and outer surface sides of the spring roller 6.
In the embodiment described above, the one in which the resin film C of ethylene tetrafluoride is formed on the surface of the spring wire 6A has been shown. May be used.
[0013]
Next, FIG. 2 shows a temporal change in noise level during operation of the low noise chain of the present invention shown in FIG. 1 and the low noise chain using the conventional spring roller shown in FIG. 3 coated with grease. It is a graph which shows.
The noise level is measured for three types of roller diameters of 1 mm, 1.2 mm, and 1.4 mm for both low-noise chains, and the chain running speed is also 100 m / min, 150 m / min, and 200 m / min. Under the conditions, the noise levels at the time of starting operation and at two time points after 15 minutes from the start of operation were measured.
[0014]
According to the measurement results of FIG. 2, the noise level rises after 15 minutes from the operation of the conventional product at any roller diameter and chain travel speed, whereas the product of the present invention has a higher level than at the start of operation. Furthermore, it has been found that the noise reduction effect of the low noise chain of the present invention is remarkable.
[0015]
【The invention's effect】
As described above, according to the low noise chain of the present invention, since the slippery resin film is formed on the surface of the spring wire, the chain between the spring wire of the spring roller itself, the spring roller and the inner plate, During the operation, noise generated by sliding between the spring roller and the sprocket or between the spring roller and the bush is reduced, and a low noise state can be maintained even after the operation has started.
[0016]
In addition, since the maximum diameter of the spring roller is slightly larger than the root diameter of the meshing sprocket, the circular cross section of the spring roller becomes elliptic before the spring roller collides with the sprocket tooth bottom when meshing with the sprocket. It is elastically deformed into a shape to obtain a buffering effect, and the driving noise can be greatly reduced by a synergistic effect with the slippery resin film. Furthermore, since the spring roller is formed by winding the spring wire closely, the surface pressure can be lowered and the durability can be increased.
