【0006】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
Field of the Invention The present invention relates to an ink composition comprising a specific resin component, and particularly to an ink composition preferably used in an ink jet recording method.
[0002]
BACKGROUND ART In a recording method using an ink composition, it is an important performance required for an ink composition to reliably fix a recorded print on a recording medium. In particular, recently, coated paper having a very smooth surface has been used as a recording medium in order to give a high-class feeling. There is a need for an ink composition that can realize sufficient abrasion-resistant printing on a smooth surface even on such a smooth recording medium.
[0003]
Recently, an ink jet recording method in which a droplet of an ink composition is ejected and attached to a recording medium such as paper has been widely used. According to the ink jet recording method, a high-resolution and high-quality image can be printed at a high speed with a relatively inexpensive apparatus, so that coated paper having a smooth surface is being used frequently in order to add value to the recorded matter. is there. Therefore, the realization of printing having good fixability on a recording medium has become an important required performance even in an ink composition for ink jet recording.
[0004]
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
The inventors of the present invention have recently found that the fixability of printing on a recording medium can be improved by adding a resin component having a specific composition. The present invention is based on such knowledge.
[0005]
Therefore, the ink composition according to the present invention is an ink composition comprising at least a pigment, a resin, an organic solvent, and water,
The resin is a copolymer comprising structural units represented by the following formula (I), formula (II), and formula (III).
[0006]
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

When the acid value and the molecular weight are in the above ranges, better fixability can be obtained, and further, when used in an ink jet recording method, it is advantageous because clogging and generation of precipitates can be more effectively prevented. is there. According to a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the copolymer is preferably a random copolymer.

Evaluation 1 : The ink composition was printed on a dedicated gloss film for an ink jet printer (manufactured by Seiko Epson Corporation) using a fixing ink jet printer MJ510C (manufactured by Seiko Epson Corporation). Thereafter, the printed matter was naturally dried for 24 hours.
[0032]
(1) Line marker resistance The printed matter that has been dried is rubbed at a writing pressure of 4.9 × 10 5 N / m 2 using a yellow water fluorescent pen (ZEBRA PEN2 made by Zebra Co., Ltd.), and the degree of stain on the printed matter I investigated. The results were evaluated according to the following criteria.
[0033]
No rubbing at all with one rubbing -A
Dirt is generated by one rubbing -NG
The results were as described in the table below.
[0034]
(2) Adhesive tape An adhesive tape (cellophane tape: Sekisui tape (manufactured by Sekisui Chemical Co., Ltd.)) was applied to the printed part of the test printed matter, and the adhesive tape was peeled off after rubbing twice or three times with a finger. The state of the printed matter at that portion was visually observed and evaluated according to the following criteria.
[0035]
No peeling of the ink (colorant) from the exclusive glossy surface -A
-NG on both the glossy side of the ink (colorant) and the adhesive side of the adhesive tape
The results were as shown in the table below.
[0036]
Evaluation 2 : Clogging characteristics The ink composition was filled in the head of the inkjet printer MJ510C, and alphanumeric characters were printed continuously for 10 minutes. Thereafter, the printer was stopped, and the head was not capped and left in an environment of 40 ° C. and 25% Rh for 2 weeks or 1 month. After leaving, alphanumeric characters were printed again, and the number of clogging recovery operations required until printing equivalent to that before leaving was checked.
[0037]
The results were evaluated according to the following criteria.
[0038]
Possible to perform printing equivalent to the initial stage with 0 to 2 return operations -A
Possible to perform the same printing as the initial stage with three or more return operations-NG
The results were as shown in the table below.
