Description

【0001】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a joint connector for connecting a plurality of electric wires to short-circuit each other.
[0002]
[Prior art]
FIG. 5 shows a joint connector 100 disclosed in Japanese Utility Model Laid-Open No. 4-27588. The waterproof joint connector 100 includes a connector housing 102 that can accommodate the terminal fitting 101, a short-circuit terminal 103 that is attached to the connector housing 102, and a waterproof that is assembled to the connector housing 102 so as to cover the rear portion of the short-circuit terminal 103. It is comprised from the member 104. FIG. The connector housing 102 is formed so as to be open at the front and rear, and a terminal fitting 101 to which an electric wire W is connected is assembled from one side, and a short-circuit terminal 103 and a waterproof member 104 are assembled from the other side.
[0003]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, in the joint connector configured as described above, in a type having a different number of short-circuits, the short-circuit terminals 103 having different shapes in accordance with the number of short-circuits must be individually manufactured. The manufacture of the short-circuit terminal 103 requires an expensive punching die, which increases the manufacturing cost.
[0004]
The present invention has been completed based on the above circumstances, and an object of the present invention is to provide a joint connector that can eliminate the need for a short-circuit terminal and can reduce the manufacturing cost.
[0005]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
As means for achieving the above object, the invention of claim 1 is characterized in that a plurality of electric wire connecting portions for connecting electric wires to both sides of a carrier bar with which a feed claw engages at the time of press working are respectively connected via connecting piece portions. A joint terminal connected to each other, an inner housing disposed between the wire connecting portions of the joint terminal in a state where the connection piece is bent in the same direction, and an outer housing that accommodates the inner housing together with the joint terminal. It has the characteristics in the structure provided with the housing .
[0007]
[Action and effect of the invention]
According to the joint connector of the first aspect, since electrical continuity can be ensured by using the carrier bar necessary at the time of terminal pressing, a separate short-circuit terminal is unnecessary. In addition, since the wire connection part is connected to both sides of the carrier bar via the connecting piece part, if the connecting piece part is bent in the same direction, the wire connecting part is arranged in the same direction, and the wire is connected here. Then, an electric wire will be pulled out in the same direction and the whole can be put together compactly.
[0008]
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
Hereinafter, an embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to FIGS.
First, the joint terminal used in this embodiment will be described. FIG. 2 shows the joint terminal 10 formed integrally with a conductive metal plate. The joint terminal 10 is used after being rolled out in a roll shape and cut to a required length, and has a carrier bar 11 having a narrow belt shape. The carrier bar 11 is provided for feeding the joint terminal 10 during press working, and feed holes 12 with which a feed claw of a processing machine (not shown) is engaged are formed at a constant pitch. A total of six wire connecting portions 20, for example, three each, are provided on the left and right sides of the carrier bar 11 via connecting piece portions 30.
[0009]
Each electric wire connection portion 20 is configured by bending a pair of side walls 22 from the bottom wall 21 along the longitudinal direction so as to face each other, and each side wall 22 is bent in such a way as to be raised in a direction close to each other. Blades 23 and 23 are provided, and the insulated wire 40 can be pressure-contacted thereto. In addition, a pair of wire barrel pieces 24 and 24 are formed at the end of each side wall 22 opposite to the carrier bar 11 to crimp and hold the insulation coating of the insulated wire 40, and the lance 25 is cut on the bottom wall 21. It is raised (see FIG. 1).
[0010]
On the other hand, an outer housing 50 and an inner housing 60 are provided to accommodate the joint terminal 10 described above. The outer housing 50 is formed of a synthetic resin material and has a rectangular container shape with one side open. The inner housing 60 is also made of synthetic resin and has a partition shape that can be accommodated in the outer housing 50. The inner housing 60 divides the inside of the outer housing 50 into a total of six chambers in two upper and lower stages, and can accommodate each wire connecting portion 20 of the joint terminal 10 in each partitioned room. . As shown in FIGS. 1 and 4, engagement protrusions 61 protrude from the left and right ends of the inner housing 60, and can engage with the engagement holes 52 of the elastic piece 51 provided on the side wall of the outer housing 50. It is.
[0011]
This embodiment is the above structure, The assembly procedure is demonstrated.
The joint terminal 10 is wound in advance in a roll shape, and is used by cutting it out to a required length. The required length is determined according to the number of short circuits, and if the number of short circuits is 6 as in this embodiment, the length of the carrier bar 11 is such that six wire connection portions 20 are obtained on both sides of the carrier bar 11. Is disconnected. After the carrier bar 11 is cut, the connecting piece portions 30 are bent in the same direction so that the electric wire connecting portions 20 are lined up back and forth in two upper and lower stages (see FIG. 1).
[0012]
Thereafter, the joint terminal 10 is set so as to overlap the inner housing 60, and in this state, a pressure welding operation for pushing the insulated wire 40 between the pressure welding blades 23, 23 is performed. At this time, the inner housing 60 supports the electric wire connection portion 20 and receives the pushing force of the insulated electric wire 40.
[0013]
After all the insulated wires 40 are pressure-contacted, the inner housing 60 is inserted into the outer housing 50 together with the joint terminal 10 with the carrier bar 11 side of the joint terminal 10 facing forward. When inserted to the innermost position, the engagement protrusion 61 of the inner housing 60 is engaged with the engagement hole 52 formed in the elastic piece 51 of the outer housing 50, and the inner housing 60 is held in a state of being prevented from coming off.
[0014]
According to this embodiment, since electrical continuity can be ensured by using the carrier bar 11 that is essentially necessary when the joint terminal 10 is pressed, a separate short-circuit terminal that has been conventionally required is unnecessary. It is. Further, since the joint terminal 10 can be continuously manufactured with the carrier bar 11, the carrier bar 11 may be cut to a required length according to the required number of short circuits, and the joints with various numbers of short circuits can be obtained. The terminal 10 can be manufactured at low cost. Moreover, since the electric wire connecting portion 20 is connected to both sides of the carrier bar 11 via the connecting piece portion 30, the connecting piece portion 30 is bent in the same direction as in this embodiment, and the electric wire connecting portion 20 is set in the same direction. It can be made into the form lined up. As a result, when the electric wire 40 is connected to each electric wire connecting portion 20, the electric wire 40 is pulled out in the same direction, and the entire joint connector can be compactly integrated.
[0015]
<Other embodiments>
The present invention is not limited to the embodiments described with reference to the above description and drawings. For example, the following embodiments are also included in the technical scope of the present invention, and further, within the scope not departing from the gist of the invention other than the following. Various modifications can be made.
[0016]
(1) In the above-described embodiment, the wire connection portion 20 of the joint terminal 10 is configured by a pressure contact type. It is good also as a crimp type electric wire connection part which has a barrel part. In this case, first press the wire into each wire connection part extending on both sides of the carrier bar, bend the connecting piece part so that the direction of those wires is aligned, set this in the inner housing, Should be accommodated.
