Description

【0001】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to an air cleaner duct structure of a tilt type cab over type truck.
[0002]
[Prior art]
In general, an air cleaner for a tilting cab-over truck is installed on the chassis frame at a position below the rear end of the cab body, and an air cleaner duct extends vertically from the air cleaner toward the rear surface of the cab body. Snorkel structure to capture.
[0003]
2 and 3 show typical examples of this type of conventional structure. The air cleaner 1 is attached to the outer surface of the chassis frame 2 via a stay 10. A mudguard 7 is provided between the air cleaner 1 and the front tire T in front thereof. From the air cleaner 1, an air cleaner duct 4 protrudes in a substantially vertical direction toward the lower end of the rear surface of the cab body 3.
[0004]
The front end of the air cleaner duct 4 is arranged in the gap in the vehicle width direction between the lower end portion of the rear pillar 31 of the cab body 3 and the mount bracket 35 that supports the rear end of the bottom surface of the cab body 3 on the mounting member 20 of the chassis frame 2. The intermediate portion is fixed to the mount member 20 by screwing.
[0005]
The air cleaner duct 4 is provided with a bell-shaped cover member 5 that covers the intake hole 40 at the tip thereof to prevent inflow of rainwater or the like. The cover member 5 is fixed in a state of being floated around the tip of the air cleaner duct 4 by a stay 51 provided therein, and a gap between the cover member 5 and the air cleaner duct 4 is defined as an air inflow path 50 in the intake hole 40. Air flows in. Reference numeral 6 in FIG. 3 denotes an air duct for sending air from the air cleaner 1 to the engine.
[0006]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
By the way, in the cab-over type vehicle, the engine is installed on the chassis frame 2 at a position below the bottom surface of the cab body 3. Accordingly, the mount bracket 35 is positioned outside the chassis frame 2 while avoiding the engine, and the gap between the mount bracket 35 where the tip of the air cleaner duct 4 is disposed and the lower end portion of the rear pillar 31 is narrow. Further, in order to prevent interference between the cab body 3 and the cover member 5 of the air cleaner duct 4 when the cab body 3 is tilted, a gap must be provided between the mount bracket 35 and the rear pillar 31 and the cover member 5. The diameter is limited. On the other hand, the air cleaner duct 4 cannot have a small diameter due to the air suction amount, and the air inflow path 50 in the cover member 5 becomes narrow. If the air inflow passage 50 is narrow, the flow velocity of air passing therethrough increases, and it is easy to suck in dust and muddy water rolled up by the front tire when the vehicle travels, and there is a problem that intake noise is generated.
[0007]
Accordingly, an object of the present invention is to provide an air cleaner duct structure that effectively uses the space around the air cleaner duct to ensure as large an air inflow path as possible.
[0008]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
The present invention relates to a cover member of a container body that opens downward in an air cleaner duct that extends from an air cleaner installed at a rear lower position of a cab body of a tilt type cab over type truck toward a lower end of a rear surface of the cab body. A mounting bracket in which one mounting seat is abutted and fixed to the inner surface of the lower end of the rear pillar and the bottom rear end of the cab body is supported on the chassis frame with the other mounting seat facing the lower end of the rear pillar in the vehicle width direction. The air cleaner duct is extended to the gap between the lower end portion of the rear pillar of the cab body and the mount bracket, and the front end of the air cleaner duct is installed in the cover member. And an air inflow passage around the air cleaner duct in the cover member Formation to.
[0009]
Since the cover member is installed on the cab body side, almost the entire space between the air cleaner duct and the surrounding cab body can be used as an air inflow path, and the air inflow path can be reduced without reducing the diameter of the cover member. It can be secured greatly. By forming the cover member so as to have substantially the same size as the gap between the lower end portion of the rear pillar and the mount bracket, a sufficient air inflow path around the air cleaner duct can be secured.
[0010]
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
An embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to FIG. The air cleaner 1 is supported on the chassis frame 2 of the vehicle body via a stay 10 that protrudes outward from its outer surface at a position behind and below the cab body 3. The air cleaner 1 is box-shaped and includes a synthetic resin air cleaner duct 4 that extends from the upper end of the front surface and sucks air into the air cleaner 1, and an air duct 6 that sends air from the air cleaner 1 to the engine. The air cleaner duct 4 is connected to the air cleaner 1 through a bellows-like boot member 11 at the base end, and is erected in a substantially vertical direction toward the lower end of the rear surface of the cab body 3.
[0011]
The cab body 3 is well known, and the rear cross frame 32 spanned between the left and right rear pillars 31 (only one of which is shown) is coupled to the rear pillar 31 at positions above the lower end thereof. The rear cross frame 32 has a substantially U-shaped cross section that opens downward (FIG. 1B). The rear edge of the floor panel 33 of the cab body 3 is coupled to the lower edge of the front wall, and the cab body is attached to the rear wall. 3, the lower edge of the rear panel 34 forming the rear surface of the rear panel 34 is joined. A mudguard 7 hangs down through a stay 71 in the vicinity of the joint between the rear cross frame 32 and the floor panel 33, and partitions the front tire T (FIG. 2) and the air cleaner 1.
[0012]
At both ends of the rear cross frame 32, substantially U-shaped mounting brackets 35 are provided. The mount bracket 35 is welded by fitting the left and right upper ends into the rear cross frame 32, and faces the lower end portion of the rear pillar 31 with a gap in the vehicle width direction. The bottom surface of the mount bracket 35 is supported by the upper end of the mount member 20 that extends obliquely upward and outward from the chassis frame 2.
[0013]
In the gap between the rear pillar 31 of the cab body 3 and the mount bracket 35, the tip of the air cleaner duct 4 extends to a position near the mount bracket 35. The air cleaner duct 4 is integrally formed with a mounting seat 41 that protrudes toward the vehicle interior at an intermediate portion thereof, and the mounting seat 41 is fixed to the mount member 20 by bolting. The tip of the air cleaner duct 4 is provided with an intake hole 40 that opens upward.
[0014]
A cover member 5 </ b> A that covers the tip of the air cleaner duct 4 is provided in the gap. The cover member 5A has a substantially rectangular container shape that opens downward, and the length of the front surface is shorter than that of the rear surface, and the lower edge of both side surfaces is cut into an upwardly inclined shape to increase the opening area of the lower end opening. It is. The cover member 5A has a width that is substantially the same as the width of the gap. The cover member 5A is fitted into the gap, and one mounting seat 52 is brought into contact with the inner side surface of the lower end portion of the rear pillar 31 and the other mounting seat. The portion 53 is abutted against the outer surface of the mount bracket 35, and the rear surface thereof is arranged so as to be substantially flush with the rear surface of the cab body 3. Both mounting seats 52, 53 are bolted to the rear pillar 31 and the mount bracket 35, respectively. It is tightened.
[0015]
In the cover member 5A fixed to the cab body 3 in this way, the tip of the air cleaner duct 4 is inserted from the lower end opening to a depth of about 3/4 of the cover member 5A, and the air cleaner duct 4 in the cover member 5A is inserted. An air inflow path 50 through which air flows into the air inlet 40 of the air cleaner duct 4 is formed around the tip of the air cleaner.
[0016]
Accordingly, an air inflow path 50 having a width substantially equal to the gap between the duct 4 and the rear pillar 31 and the mount bracket 35 can be formed around the tip of the air cleaner duct 4, and flows through the air inflow path 50. The air flow rate can be kept low.
[0017]
Since the opening at the lower end of the cover member 5A is wide and the opening extends from the bottom to the front, even if the cab body 3 rotates forward about its lower front end when the cab body 3 is tilted, the air cleaner There is no interference with the tip of the duct 4.
[0018]
【The invention's effect】
According to the present invention, since the cover member of the air cleaner duct is installed in the cab body, a wider air inflow path is secured between the cover member and the air cleaner duct than in the conventional structure in which the cover member is installed at the tip of the air cleaner duct. Therefore, it is possible to suppress the flow velocity of the air flowing through the air inflow path, and to prevent the suction of dust and muddy water that is rolled up when the vehicle is running and the generation of intake noise.
