具体的には表1−2に示したように、Er3 Ni(TN 〜6K),ErCu(TN 〜13K ),Ho2 Al(TN 〜15K )などである。
具体的には、表1−2に示したように、Er3 Ni(〜135K),ErCu(〜200K),Ho2 Al(TN 〜150K)などである。
【0017】

[Industrial application fields]
The present invention relates to a superconducting magnet device, and more particularly to a superconducting magnet device in which a superconducting coil is cooled by a regenerative cryogenic refrigerator.
[0002]
[Prior art]
As is well known, many superconducting magnet devices that are currently in practical use employ a method of immersing the superconducting coil in a cryogenic liquid typified by liquid helium as a means of cooling the superconducting coil below the critical temperature. ing. However, this method is difficult to handle such as liquid helium and liquid nitrogen, and an expensive refrigerant needs to be taken in and out of the cryostat. Therefore, a large amount of refrigerant is wasted, and an increase in running cost cannot be avoided.
[0003]
Incidentally, in recent years, with the discovery of new regenerator materials, the performance of regenerative cryogenic refrigerators represented by Gifod-McMahon type refrigerators (GM refrigerators) and pulse tube refrigerators has been dramatically improved. Recently, Er is a magnetic material. Three Co and Er 0.9 Yb 0.1 A GM refrigerator that uses Ni as a regenerator and can achieve a refrigerating capacity exceeding 1 W at a liquid helium temperature (4.2K) has appeared, and this high refrigerating capacity GM refrigerator can be used directly on its cooling stage. A superconducting magnet device that conducts and cools a superconducting coil has been proposed.
[0004]
In this superconducting magnet device, the waste of the refrigerant can be eliminated, so that the running cost can be greatly reduced.
[0005]
However, as described above, even in the superconducting magnet device that directly conducts and cools the superconducting coil with a regenerative cryogenic refrigerator, the present inventors have actually conducted various experiments for passing a current through the superconducting coil. Appears on the cryogenic refrigerator side, the temperature of the coldest cooling stage becomes higher than when operating alone, and it is not stable, or the refrigeration capacity of the cryogenic refrigerator decreases as the operating time elapses It turns out that a problem occurs.
[0006]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
As described above, the present invention has been made based on the fact that new problems have been found by the inventors' experiments, and a regenerative refrigerator that can stabilize the refrigeration performance without reducing the magnetic field generation capability. It is an object of the present invention to provide a superconducting magnet device of a refrigerator directly cooled type used.
[0007]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to achieve the above object, in the superconducting magnet device of the present invention, Formed of NbTi wire Superconducting coil with a regenerative cryogenic refrigerator Through heat conduction member In a superconducting magnet apparatus for direct conduction cooling, the cryogenic refrigerator is disposed in a leakage magnetic field generated around the superconducting coil, and the regenerator reaches the minimum cooling temperature in the cryogenic refrigerator. Inside Cold storage material As Made of antiferromagnetic material Contains granular powder It is characterized by that. In the superconducting magnet device of the present invention, Should be cooled below 4K Superconducting coil with a regenerative cryogenic refrigerator Through heat conduction member In a superconducting magnet apparatus for direct conduction cooling, the cryogenic refrigerator is disposed in a leakage magnetic field generated around the superconducting coil, and the regenerator reaches the minimum cooling temperature in the cryogenic refrigerator. Inside Cold storage material As Made of antiferromagnetic material Contains granular powder It is characterized by that.
[0008]
The antiferromagnetic material preferably has a Neel temperature of 30K or lower and a Debye temperature of 200K or lower.
[0009]
In order to achieve the above object, according to the superconducting magnet device of the present invention, the superconducting magnet device in which the superconducting coil is directly conductively cooled by a regenerative cryogenic refrigerator, wherein the cryogenic refrigerator is the superconducting coil. The regenerator material of the regenerator which is disposed in the leakage magnetic field generated around and reaches the minimum cooling temperature in the cryogenic refrigerator is formed of a magnetic material, and the lowest temperature side of the regenerator is the center of the superconducting coil. And is located on an axis extending perpendicularly to the central axis of the superconducting coil.
[0010]
[Action]
When a current is passed through the superconducting coil, a leakage magnetic field is generated around the superconducting coil. On the other hand, many of the regenerator type cryogenic refrigerators use a ferromagnetic material that can utilize a specific heat anomaly (a large peak of specific heat) associated with a magnetic phase transition to ferromagnetism as a regenerator material for a final stage regenerator.
[0011]
In direct-cooled superconducting magnet systems, it is necessary to bring the superconducting coil and the regenerative cryogenic refrigerator closer to each other in order to prevent the overall size from increasing, so it can be used as a regenerator material for cryogenic refrigerators. The magnetized ferromagnetic material is magnetized by the leakage magnetic field of the superconducting coil (having a magnetic moment as a sum).
[0012]
In general, since a magnetic material receives a force proportional to the magnitude of magnetization and a magnetic field gradient in a magnetic field, a cold storage material made of a ferromagnetic material receives a force proportional to the magnitude of magnetization and the magnetic field gradient in a magnetic field. Taking a GM refrigerator, which is a typical regenerative cryogenic refrigerator, as an example, it is necessary to reciprocate the regenerator in the cylinder in order to realize a refrigeration cycle. Therefore, when a force acts on the regenerator material made of a ferromagnetic material as described above, it is recognized that the regenerator tilts due to this force and a situation occurs in which the regenerator comes into contact with the cylinder wall. As a result, heat generation due to friction between the regenerator and the cylinder wall, alienation of the normal flow of the refrigerant gas due to the pressing of the seal, etc. occurred, and as confirmed by the inventors' experiments, the minimum of the cryogenic refrigerator is This is thought to result in a decrease in the refrigeration performance of the temperature cooling stage and instability of the stage temperature.
[0013]
In the invention according to
[0014]
That is, the ferromagnetic material has a magnetic phase transition temperature T C (Curie temperature) below and has spontaneous magnetization (with finite magnetization even in zero magnetic field), T C Even at higher temperatures, it has a large magnetization due to a small externally applied magnetic field. On the other hand, antiferromagnetic materials do not have magnetization in a zero magnetic field (the sum of the moments of atoms is zero), and the magnetization value is extremely small in a small externally applied magnetic field. Therefore, the magnitude of magnetization of the antiferromagnetic material in a small magnetic field is much smaller than that of the ferromagnetic material. As described above, since the magnitude of the force that the magnetic material receives in the magnetic field is proportional to the magnitude of magnetization, when the regenerator is set in a space with a large magnetic field gradient, an antiferromagnetic material should be used as the regenerator. The power received by the regenerator can be reduced. As a result, it is possible to prevent heat generation due to friction between the regenerator and the cylinder, improve the temperature stability of the cryogenic cooling stage of the cryogenic refrigerator, and eliminate the temperature fluctuation of the superconducting coil that causes quenching. .
[0015]
In addition, as an antiferromagnetic material used as a cold storage material, an antiferromagnetic magnetic phase transition temperature is used.
(Nail point) T N Is preferably 30K or less. Specifically, as shown in Table 1-2, Er Three Ni (T N ~ 6K), ErCu (T N ~ 13K), Ho 2 Al (T N ~ 15K). Neel temperature T N If the temperature is high, the final stage regenerator cannot fully utilize the specific heat anomaly (high peak of specific heat) that accompanies the magnetic phase transition, and the heat storage (cold) effect of the refrigerant gas is extremely reduced, resulting in the lowest temperature. The cooling capacity of the cooling stage is significantly reduced. For this reason, it becomes difficult to cool the lowest temperature cooling stage to, for example, the liquid helium temperature or less, which causes quenching of the superconducting coil.
[0016]
Moreover, as an antiferromagnetic material used as a cold storage material, it is preferable that the Debye temperature is lower than the Debye temperature of copper 343K normally used as the cold storage material of the first-stage regenerator, and further 200K or less. More preferred. Specifically, as shown in Table 1-2, Er Three Ni (up to 135K), ErCu (up to 200K), Ho 2 Al (T N ~ 150K).
[0017]
In the medium temperature range of 20-80K, the lattice specific heat plays an important role for the total specific heat of the antiferromagnetic material as well as the magnetic specific heat. In the refrigerator gas cycle, the refrigerant gas that has passed through the high-temperature side regenerator and cooled by heat exchange with the high-temperature side regenerator material is thermally and smoothly heated to the low-temperature side without causing a temporary rise in temperature. In order to form a heat-free gas cycle that can pass through the regenerator, the amount of heat exchanged with the high-temperature regenerator at the temperature near the outlet of the high-temperature regenerator is compared with that of the low-temperature regenerator. It is desirable that the amount of heat exchanged with the low-temperature side regenerator at the temperature near the inlet is equal to or higher than that. Therefore, it is desirable that the lattice specific heat that plays an important role in the total specific heat of the material in the temperature range of 20 to 80 K is equal to or higher than that of the high temperature side cold storage material. Generally, the lattice specific heat per atomic mole at a low temperature is larger as the Debye temperature is lower. Therefore, the Debye temperature of the antiferromagnetic material used in the final stage regenerator is preferably lower than the Debye temperature of copper used as the regenerator in the first stage regenerator, and the higher the atomic density, the better. When the magnetic specific heat is small in the temperature range of 20 to 80K, the lattice specific heat can be increased by setting the Debye temperature to 200K or lower.
[0018]
As described above, the magnetic material receives a force proportional to the magnitude of magnetization and the magnetic field gradient in the magnetic field. Therefore, even if the regenerator material of the final stage regenerator is formed of a ferromagnetic material, the cryogenic refrigerator is arranged so that the final stage regenerator is located in a portion near zero of the magnetic field gradient. The force applied to the final stage regenerator can be made sufficiently small.
[0019]
That is, in the invention according to
[0020]
Here, the temperature in the final stage regenerator usually fluctuates greatly on the high temperature end side, but is close to the low temperature end temperature in a region about half from the low temperature end to the high temperature end side, and the fluctuation is small. Therefore, since the regenerator material made of a ferromagnetic material housed in the last-stage regenerator can be regarded as having a particularly large magnetization when present in about a half region from the lowest temperature end side, If this half of the region passes through the center of the superconducting coil and is positioned near the line drawn perpendicular to the central axis of the superconducting coil, the force applied to the final stage regenerator can be made sufficiently small. It is possible to prevent the above-described problems caused.

In addition, as described in the section of the prior art, the problem of the system for directly cooling the superconducting coil confirmed by the present inventors with a regenerative refrigerator is that the superconducting coil uses a refrigerant represented by liquid helium. It is considered that this also occurs when the superconducting coil and the regenerative refrigerator are arranged close to each other in the system for cooling the battery.
[0063]
Therefore, if the present invention is applied to a system that cools a superconducting coil with a regenerative refrigerator via a cryogenic refrigerant, the same actions and effects as in the above embodiment can be obtained. Furthermore, in order to cool a superconducting coil used in a magnetic levitation train (linear motor car) or the like, a combination of a regenerative refrigerator (GM refrigerator) and a refrigerator (JT refrigerator) using the Joule-Thomson effect is used. However, the present invention can also be applied to such a system.

【The invention's effect】
As described above, according to the present invention, it is possible to prevent the cooling performance from being lowered due to the leakage magnetic field from the superconducting coil.
