BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a blower fan device including a plurality of fans.
[0002]
[Prior art]
For example, a 42-inch PDP (Plasma Display Panel) is equipped with a blower fan device equipped with five fans, etc. whose number of rotations varies depending on the temperature, and forced air cooling is performed so that the temperature inside the panel does not become high. ing.
[0003]
FIG. 2 is a diagram for explaining the operation of the fan of the blower fan device, in which the fan rotation speed is switched (A), the fan rotation speed is continuously variable (B), and a plurality of fans. It is a figure (C) which shows the maximum rotation speed and the minimum rotation speed of them.
[0004]
As shown in FIG. 2 (A), the blower fan device used in the conventional PDP is based on a signal from a temperature sensor installed in a required part in the PDP, and the fan rotates at high speed with the temperature ta as a switching value. Switch to medium speed rotation. For example, the fan rotates at a high speed at ta = 37 degrees C or more.
Furthermore, when the fan breaks down and it becomes difficult to rotate, the rotation speed at that time is detected from the standard rotation speed to be lower than a preset value, and a failure signal is output. As a result, the PDP side cuts off the supply of power to prevent damage to the PDP due to temperature rise.
[0005]
Actually, when the PDP is used indoors as a flat television or the like, the noise of the fan interferes with the sound of the television even at medium speed rotation, which is harsh. In view of this, as shown in FIG. 2 (b), a blower fan device is provided in which a low temperature switching value tb and a high temperature switching value tc are provided so that the rotational speed of the fan is continuously variable.
This type of blower fan device, for example, externally attaches a thermistor to the control terminal to vary the rotation speed according to the temperature detected by the thermistor and outputs a pulse corresponding to the rotation speed from the rotation signal output terminal. To do. As shown in FIG. 2 (b), the rotational speed of the fan is extremely low in the low temperature region below tb, and the rotational speed gradually increases continuously in the region of tb or more and less than tc, and is rotated at high speed above tc. To do. Therefore, under normal usage conditions at room temperature, the rotational speed of the fan is extremely low or low, and as a result, the operation sound of the fan is quiet.
[0006]
By the way, in the blower fan device in which the rotation speed of the fan continuously operates, the failure detection rotation speed for detecting a fan failure needs to be varied according to the temperature. That is, as shown in FIG. 2B, a graph (indicated by a chain line) showing the number of revolutions reduced by a required value according to the temperature is obtained from the graph showing the standard number of revolutions of the fan.
[0007]
However, in order to obtain the failure detection rotation speed according to the temperature, for example, a means for calculating a numerical value or adding a hardware or software to the blower fan device such as preparing a reference table of the temperature and the rotation speed is provided. There was a problem of cost increase.
[0008]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
The present invention has been made in view of the above problems, and an object of the present invention is to provide a blower fan device that can easily detect a fan failure at low cost.
[0009]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to achieve the above object, in a blower fan device having a plurality of fans, the maximum value of the fan rotation speed and the minimum value of the fan rotation speed are detected for the plurality of fans, and the minimum value and the maximum value are detected. Is detected to be equal to or less than a predetermined value, and a signal indicating the detection result is output.
[0010]
In addition, a plurality of fans, a temperature detection unit that detects the temperature, a rotation number detection unit that detects the rotation number for each fan, a fan control unit that controls increase / decrease of the fan rotation number, and a fan failure detection value Determination to determine the size of the storage unit to be stored, the calculation unit to calculate the ratio between the minimum value and the maximum value of the fan speed, and the failure detection value stored in the storage unit and the result calculated by the calculation unit [0011] with a part
In addition, the calculation unit calculates an average rotation number based on the rotation number for each fan, calculates a ratio between the minimum value of the fan rotation number and the average rotation number, and detects a second failure of the fan in the storage unit. The value is stored, and the determination unit determines the magnitude of the second failure detection value and the result calculated by the calculation unit.
[0012]
Moreover, the said rotation speed detection part was comprised so that the average rotation speed of the rotation speed for the predetermined time might be calculated | required for every fan sequentially.
[0013]
Further, the fan is operated so as to continuously vary the rotational speed in accordance with the temperature.
[0014]
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
Since it comprised as mentioned above, the ventilation fan apparatus by this invention is demonstrated in detail using figures. FIG. 1 is a block diagram showing an example of a blower fan device according to the present invention.
Reference numeral 1 denotes a fan unit including a plurality of fans, for example, whose number of rotations is continuously variable according to temperature. Reference numeral 2 denotes a temperature detection unit configured by, for example, a thermistor installed at a required position inside a PDP (Plasma Display Panel) panel to detect temperature. Reference numeral 3 denotes a rotation speed detection unit that detects the rotation speed of each fan based on a pulse output from each fan.
Reference numeral 4 denotes a fan control unit that performs increase / decrease control on the rotational speed of the fan unit 1. Reference numeral 5 denotes a storage unit configured by a non-volatile memory that stores constant fan failure detection values. Reference numeral 6 denotes an arithmetic unit that calculates a ratio between the minimum value and the maximum value of the fan rotation speed. Reference numeral 7 denotes a determination unit that determines the magnitude of the failure detection value stored in the storage unit 5 and the result calculated by the calculation unit 6. Reference numeral 8 denotes a control unit that controls the above-described units.
[0015]
The temperature detected by the temperature detection unit 2 is transmitted to the fan control unit 4 via the control unit 8, and the fan control unit 4 controls increase / decrease of the rotational speed of the fan unit 1.
[0016]
The rotation speed detection unit 3 detects the rotation speed for each fan based on the pulse output by the fan, and obtains the average rotation speed such as 1 second of the rotation speed for each fan from the fan 1 to the fan n sequentially. The calculation unit 6 detects the minimum value and the maximum value of the fan rotation speed based on the average rotation speed, and calculates the ratio. The determination unit 7 determines the magnitude of the failure detection value stored in the storage unit 5 based on, for example, an error in fan rotation speed, and the result calculated by the calculation unit 6. As a result, when the signal corresponding to the determination result, for example, the ratio calculated by the calculation unit 6 is smaller than the failure detection value, the control unit 8 indicates that there is a failure, for example, outputs “high” as a voltage.
[0017]
The determination operation of the result performed by the determination unit 7 will be specifically described with reference to FIG.
For example, if the allowable rotation error of the fan used by the blower fan device is plus or minus 10%, the maximum number of rotations (max: A) of a plurality of fans within the allowable range is plus 10%, and the minimum The rotation speed (mini: B) is minus 10%. Therefore, the ratio (B / A) between the minimum rotation speed and the maximum rotation speed is “0.9 ÷ 1.1 = 0.818...”, And the non-defective product is within the range of 1 to 0.818. Therefore, the failure detection value is 0.82, and if it is less than this value, it is determined that a failure has occurred.
Assuming that 70% of the standard speed is reached due to a failure of one fan, the ratio of the minimum speed to the maximum speed at this time is “0.7 ÷ 1.1 = 0.636 ... to 0.7 ÷ 0.9 = 0.777・ ・ ”Is less than about 0.78 and less than the failure detection value (0.82), so it can be determined that there is a failure.
The ratio (B / A) between the minimum rotation speed and the maximum rotation speed is based on the allowable rotation error and takes a constant value regardless of the temperature. Value.
[0018]
Further, instead of the maximum rotation speed (max: A), the calculation unit 6 calculates an average rotation speed based on the rotation speed for each fan, and calculates a ratio using the average rotation speed and the minimum rotation speed. You may do it. For example, the ratio between the minimum rotation speed and the average rotation speed is “0.9 ÷ 1.0 = 0.9”, and the non-defective product is in the range of 1 to 0.9. Therefore, the second failure detection value in this example is 0.9. What can be considered is that the average speed is often equal to the standard speed. In this case, the second failure detection value (0.9) of the fan is stored in the storage unit 5, and the determination unit 7 determines the magnitude of the second failure detection value and the ratio value calculated by the calculation unit 6.
[0019]
【The invention's effect】
As described above, the present invention provides a blower fan device that can detect a fan failure easily and inexpensively.
In summary, the present invention does not directly determine the rotation speed (failure detection rotation speed) from the standard rotation speed for detecting a fan failure, but determines the ratio between the minimum rotation speed and the maximum rotation speed. Therefore, it is possible to determine the failure based on the failure value and the failure detection value which is a constant, so that a means for numerical calculation, a reference table of the temperature and the rotational speed, and the like are not necessary.
Therefore, there is no need to change to the conventional blower fan device, and it can be realized by adding a microcomputer program.
[0020]
In addition, the present invention is applicable to any of a blower fan device having a fixed fan rotation speed, a variable rotation blower fan device, or a continuously variable blower fan device.
