【0001】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a reading apparatus having a structure in which all optical paths of an optical system are sealed so as to be applied to, for example, a document reading apparatus using a CCD reduction optical system.
[0002]
[Prior art]
In a document reading apparatus using a conventional CCD reduction optical system, abnormal images are often generated by reading dust or the like existing on the optical path of the reading optical system. If the reading accuracy (resolution) of the reading optical system is improved, there is a problem that sensitivity to minute dust is further increased correspondingly. Therefore, it is conceivable to provide a dust detection function by image processing in a digital image forming apparatus equipped with a document reading device using a CCD reduction optical system. However, it is possible to completely discriminate between dust and image data by the image processing method. Difficult to do.
[0003]
Considering the situation of dust that causes an abnormal image, most of the dust exists and occurs particularly in contact glass (original reading glass). That is, the document transported to the upper surface of the contact glass by the transport means generates static electricity by sliding with respect to the contact glass. For this reason, static electricity remaining on the contact glass attracts dust in the atmosphere. Further, the paper dust of the original is generated by friction with the contact glass, and the paper dust remains on the contact glass. These deposits and residues (dust) move to the scan line at the document reading position on the contact glass, which causes an abnormal image.
[0004]
Furthermore, in order to reduce the size of a document reading apparatus using a CCD reduction optical system, a configuration is employed in which a plurality of mirrors are used to fold back the optical path, and dust that has entered the apparatus is reflected by being attached to the mirror. This may cause a decrease in the rate, which may cause an abnormal image.
[0005]
Dust remaining on the upper surface of the contact glass can be removed by cleaning outside, but it is not easy to clean the dust that has entered the apparatus.
[0006]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
In order to solve the problems of the prior art, the present applicant aims at dust prevention, and at least a lens constituting the CCD reduction optical system reading unit so as to seal all optical paths formed in the CCD reduction optical system reading unit, We proposed an image reading device with an optical unit consisting of contact glass, mirror, shading plate, CCD substrate, light source, and lens block.
[0007]
However, even if the entire optical path is sealed as described above, the component accuracy (particularly flatness) of the contact glass itself, and the flat surface at the contact portion with the contact glass in the contact glass support portion that supports and fixes the contact glass Depending on the degree, the contact portion between the contact glass and the contact glass support may be in close contact with each other, and there may be no gap at all.
[0008]
Therefore, dust enters the inside of the apparatus from the gap at the contact portion between the contact glass and the contact glass support, and the dust moves to the contact glass scan line, or falls into the apparatus and is a component of the optical system. For example, there is a risk of causing problems such as deterioration of the mirror surface state of the mirror.
[0009]
Specifically, as shown in FIG. 5 for explaining the problem in the conventional document reading apparatus, the
[0010]
An object of the present invention is to provide a reading device that has a simple configuration and can prevent dust from adhering to the components of the optical system including the lower surface of the contact glass so that good document reading can be performed. There is.
[0011]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to achieve the above object, the present invention provides a unitization so that the document information of the document conveyed on the upper surface of the contact glass is optically read from the lower surface side of the contact glass and the entire optical path of the optical system is sealed. A reading device configured as described above, wherein dust attached to the upper surface of the contact glass is prevented from flowing around the lower surface side of the contact glass in the vicinity of the contact glass support portion of the apparatus main body outside the document reading area on the lower surface of the contact glass. A dustproof member for hanging is provided, a portion where the dustproof member is inserted into the contact glass support portion is formed into a concave shape, and the dustproof member is inserted into the concave shape portion with a space, The gap between the lower surface of the contact glass and the contact glass support is Even if external dust enters from the inside, it can be prevented that the dust reaches the skin line in the contact glass, and the dust can be prevented from falling into the apparatus due to being held in the recess. Is inserted while taking a space in the concave portion, so that the contact glass is not lifted up by the installation of the dust-proof member.

【The invention's effect】
As described above, according to the reading device of the present invention, even if external dust enters from the gap between the lower surface of the contact glass and the contact glass support portion by the dust-proof member hanging on the lower surface of the contact glass, the dust is contact glass. Can be prevented from reaching the scan line, and dust can also be prevented from falling into the apparatus due to being held in the recess, and the dust-proof member is inserted into the recessed portion with a space. For this reason, the contact glass is not lifted up by the installation of the dustproof member.
[0026]
Therefore, it is possible to prevent the occurrence of problems such as poor reading of document information caused by the intrusion of dust and image forming defects caused by the same, as in the prior art.
