Description

【0001】

Since the slewing bearing 9 supports the entire load of the upper slewing body 2 so as to be capable of slewing, the slewing bearing 9 needs to be sufficiently lubricated and must be protected from dust and the like from the outside. I must. For this purpose, a seal member is interposed between the inner ring 7 and the outer ring 8 so as to seal a portion of the slewing bearing 9 and retain a lubricant such as grease inside.
[0005]
FIG. 7 shows the configuration of the seal mechanism of the slewing bearing 9. 14 and 15 are seal members, and each of the seal members 14 and 15 is made of an elastic member such as rubber and has an annular shape having holding portions 14a and 15a and lip portions 14b and 15b. The holding portions 14a and 15a are inserted into annular seal mounting grooves 16 and 17 provided on the outer peripheral surface 7a of the inner ring 7 and the inner peripheral surface 8a of the outer ring 8, respectively. The seal member 14 has its holding portion 14 a inserted into the seal mounting groove 17 on the inner peripheral surface 8 a side of the outer ring 8, and the lip portion 14 b is in sliding contact with the upper surface 7 b of the inner ring 7. Further, the holding portion 15 a of the seal member 15 is inserted into the seal mounting groove 16 of the outer peripheral surface 7 a of the inner ring 7, and the lip portion 15 b is in sliding contact with the lower surface 8 b of the outer ring 8. As a result, a space including the swivel bearing 9 is sealed between the outer peripheral surface 7 a of the inner ring 7 and the inner peripheral surface 8 a of the outer ring 8 by the seal members 14 and 15. A grease supply passage 18 is provided on the outer ring 8 side, and a lubricant such as grease for lubricating the slewing bearing 9 is supplied through the grease supply passage 18. Reference numeral 19 denotes a grease plug screwed into the greasing passage 18.
[0006]
In this way, by using the seal members 14 and 15 having the lip portions 14b and 15b, the portion of the slewing bearing 9 is sealed, the lubricant is held inside, and foreign matter such as dust is intruded from the outside. Can be prevented. When the internal lubricant is contaminated, the lubricant is replenished through the greasing passage 18. Thus, the contaminated lubricant inside can be discharged from between the lip portions 14a and 15a of the seal members 14 and 15 and the upper surface 7b of the inner ring 7 and the lower surface 8b of the outer ring 8 due to an increase in pressure.
[0007]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
Here, the holding part in the seal member must be held so as not to deviate from the seal mounting groove. For this purpose, the thickness of the holding portion is formed to be slightly larger than the width of the seal mounting groove, and when actually mounted, an adhesive is applied to the seal mounting groove or the holding portion, Is inserted into the seal mounting groove. As a result, the holding portion is pressed against the inner wall surface of the seal mounting groove by its elastic restoring force, so that the adhesive force due to the adhesive is uniformly applied. As a result, the holding portion of the seal member becomes the seal mounting groove. It is held stably and there is no risk of deviating.
[0008]
By the way, the seal member has its holding part and lip part formed by extrusion molding or the like, wound in a spiral to braze the molded product into an annular shape, vulcanized in this state, It is manufactured by cutting to the size of Some swirling wheels have a diameter of as much as 3 m. Therefore, the total length of the seal member is 10 m or more. Such a seal member can strictly control the dimensions during molding, but the vulcanization temperature varies during vulcanization, and the whole cannot always be vulcanized uniformly because it cannot be exposed to uniform heat. There is. For this reason, the dimension management of the sealing member cannot be performed strictly.
[0009]
As described above, since it is difficult to manage the dimensions of the seal member, it is impossible to prevent a certain degree of variation in the thickness of the holding portion inserted into the seal mounting groove. When this holding part is thicker than the rated dimension, it becomes difficult to fit into the seal mounting groove, and when the thickness is smaller than the rated dimension, a gap is created between the inner wall surface of the seal mounting groove, Even if an adhesive is used, the sealing member cannot be reliably held. In a severe case, there is a problem that the holding portion falls off from the seal mounting groove.
[0010]
In order to prevent the seal member from falling off, various ideas have been conventionally made. For example, some seal members are configured to be tightened with a tightening member such as a wire while being inserted into the seal mounting groove, but when a seal mounting groove is provided on the inner ring side, a tightening force is applied by a tightening tool. However, on the outer ring side, such a configuration cannot be adopted because a seal mounting groove is provided on the inner peripheral surface thereof. In addition, there is a configuration in which a protrusion is provided in a direction orthogonal to the holding portion inserted into the seal mounting groove of the seal member so that the protrusion is pressed against the wall surface of the inner ring or the outer ring. In general, in order to bond the seal member to a metal such as an inner ring or an outer ring, it is necessary to apply a certain pressing force, and a bonding effect cannot be expected so much at a site where the pressing force cannot be obtained. Therefore, in order to press the protrusion against the wall surface, the seal member must be mounted in a state in which it is urged in the expanding direction. There are problems such as extremely poor workability.
[0011]
The present invention has been made in view of the above points, and an object of the present invention is to provide the seal member within the seal mounting grooves of the inner ring and the outer ring, even if the thickness of the holding portion of the seal member varies somewhat. It is to ensure that it can be fixed securely.
[0012]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to achieve the above object, according to the present invention, a seal mounting groove is formed in at least one member of an inner ring and an outer ring constituting a turning wheel, and an annular seal member is formed in the seal mounting groove. The holding part to be configured is inserted and the bearing part between the inner ring and the outer ring is sealed by sliding the lip part extended from the holding part to the other member. The seal member is provided with a second lip portion extending in a direction substantially perpendicular to the lip portion, and the holding portion is provided with an elastic plate at a plurality of locations in the circumferential direction. A retainer member formed in a letter shape is held by the holding portion so as to be compressed by a predetermined amount, and the second lip portion is formed on the surface of the member on the side where the seal mounting groove is formed in the seal mounting groove. It was configured to be inserted into the abutting state It is an its features.
[0013]
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
When mounting the seal member in the seal mounting groove of the inner ring or the outer ring, it is important to accurately manage the width dimension of the seal member and the width dimension of the seal mounting groove. Since the seal mounting groove is formed by machining, its dimensions can be strictly controlled. On the other hand, since the seal member is manufactured by vulcanization after molding as already described, the thickness of the holding portion cannot be accurately managed.
[0014]
Therefore, thickness correction is performed in order to give the holding portion an accurate thickness. For this purpose, for example, a retainer member formed by bending a plate having elasticity such as a steel plate is used. The retainer member is formed so that the cross section is substantially U-shaped. Then, the retainer member is sandwiched with the holding portion of the seal member, and is molded into a predetermined shape by means such as caulking. As a result, the holding portion is in a compressed state, and the thickness thereof can be made constant.
[0015]
Since the retainer member cannot be mounted over the entire circumference of the seal member, a plurality of retainer members are mounted at predetermined intervals in the circumferential direction of the seal member. The length of each retainer member in the circumferential direction and the number attached to the seal member are appropriately set according to the material of the seal member and the retainer member, the shape of the swivel wheel, and the like. If a retainer member having a long circumferential length is used, the number of the members may be small, and the holding portion can be more reliably fixed. However, when the length of the retainer member in the circumferential direction is long, it is necessary to form the retainer member in an arc shape, and it is difficult to apply a uniform compressive force to hold the holding portion of the seal member. On the other hand, when a retainer member having a short circumferential length is used, it cannot be sufficiently fixed unless a considerable number of retainer members are attached, but it can also be formed linearly. The holding portion of the seal member can be easily held in a compressed state by means such as caulking. In addition, when the retainer member is formed linearly, it can be used as a seal member for swirling wheels having different sizes, and the parts can be shared.
[0016]
With the retainer member mounted, the holding part of the seal member is inserted into the seal mounting groove, but the holding part is compressed by the retainer member, and the retainer member does not cover the entire circumference of the holding part. A gap is generated at the transition portion from the portion held by the retainer member to the portion where the holding portion is exposed, and the sealing function by the seal member is impaired. Therefore, the second lip portion extends in the seal member in a direction perpendicular to the holding portion at a portion between the holding portion and the lip portion. By bringing the second lip portion into close contact with the wall surface of the member on which the seal mounting groove is formed, the gap portion of the transition portion from the lip portion to the holding portion is sealed by the second lip portion. It will be.
[0017]
The seal member, to which the retainer member is attached, is attached to the turning wheel by inserting the seal member into seal attaching grooves provided in the inner ring and the outer ring constituting the turning wheel. Then, it is necessary to stabilize in the mounted state so that it does not fall out of the seal mounting groove or slips out during operation or the like and does not become unstable. Since the retainer member compresses the holding portion, the retainer member can be prevented from departing from the holding portion depending on the degree of compression. Further, if the retainer member is press-fitted into the seal mounting groove, the retainer member does not deviate from the seal mounting groove. Here, since the holding portion of the seal member has a uniform thickness at the portion where the retainer member is mounted, it can be reliably fixed by press-fitting into the seal mounting groove.
[0018]
In order to more securely fix the seal member, an adhesive is interposed between the retainer member and the holding portion. Since the holding part is in a compressed state, it is pressed against the retainer member by the elastic restoring force of this holding part, so that the adhesive is thinly stretched and strongly bonds both members. Can do. An adhesive is also interposed between the retainer member and the inner surface of the seal mounting groove. Here, since the retainer member can be formed of the same metal material as the inner ring and the outer ring, the adhesion effect is better compared to the case where different materials such as rubber and metal are fixed. In addition, since the thickness of the portion where the retainer member is mounted is accurately constant, the retainer member and the inner wall of the seal mounting groove do not have to be mounted in the press-fitted state when inserted into the seal mounting groove. It is possible to manage the gaps between them very accurately. When the gap can be managed accurately in this way, the adhesive can be thinned and stretched, and as a result, the adhesive force can be exerted to the maximum while the seal member is firmly installed in the seal installation groove. So that there is no inconvenience such as deviating from it or shifting.
[0019]
If the seal member is operated for a long time, the lip portion of the seal member may be worn out, damaged, or further deteriorated. Therefore, the seal member needs to be replaced. In addition, maintenance such as cleaning or repairing the dirt of the slewing bearing is required. For this purpose, the seal member must be removed from the seal mounting groove. Therefore, when the peeling operation plate portion is provided integrally with the retainer member, and the peeling operation plate portion is continuously provided so as to extend in the direction opposite to the extending direction of the second lip portion, the seal member is attached to the seal mounting groove. At the time of detaching from the holder, the holding portion can be easily detached from the seal mounting groove by displacing the peeling operation plate portion inward. If the holding part is pulled out from the seal mounting groove while pulling the peeling operation plate part, the sealing member can be smoothly and promptly sealed without causing any inconvenience such as damage to the seal member and remaining in the seal mounting groove. The member can be detached.
[0020]
【Example】
Embodiments of the present invention will be described below with reference to FIGS. In the present embodiment, the same or equivalent members as those of the above-described prior art are denoted by the same reference numerals, and the description thereof is omitted.
[0021]
In FIGS. 1 and 2, 20 is a seal member, and 30 is a retainer member. The sealing member 20 has no particular difference from that of the prior art in that the lip portion 22 is connected to the holding portion 21. The seal member 20 has a holding portion 21 inserted in a seal mounting groove 17 provided on the inner peripheral surface 8 a of the outer ring 8, the lip portion 22 is in sliding contact with the upper surface 7 b of the inner ring 7, and the outer peripheral surface of the inner ring 7. The holding portion 21 is inserted into the seal mounting groove 16 of 7a, and the lip portion 22 is incorporated in a state of sliding contact with the lower surface 8b of the outer ring 8. This point is also the same as that of the prior art.
[0022]
The seal member 20 is mounted over the entire circumference of the inner ring 7 and the outer ring 8, and therefore the seal member 20 has an annular shape. However, although the sealing member 20 is brazed so as to have an annular shape, the sealing member 20 is not a complete annular shape but has a cut at one place. The seal member 20 has its holding portion 21 inserted into the seal mounting grooves 16 and 17 of the inner ring 7 and the outer ring 8, but the holding portion 21 is not directly inserted into the seal grooves 16 and 17 over the entire circumference. Instead, it is attached in a state of being held by the retainer member 30 at every predetermined angle in the circumferential direction.
[0023]
The retainer member 30 is made of an elastic plate such as a steel plate, and includes a flat peeling operation plate portion 31 and a holding portion 32 bent in a substantially U shape. The holding part 32 includes upper and lower holding part pieces 32a and 32b, and a connecting part 32c between the holding part pieces 32a and 32b, and the peeling operation plate part 31 is connected to the holding part piece 32a. . The distance D 1 between the inner surfaces of the gripping pieces 32 a and 32 b is smaller than the natural thickness T of the holding portion 21 of the seal member 20, and the distance D 2 between the outer surfaces is smaller than the groove width of the seal mounting grooves 16 and 17. Slightly larger.
[0024]
The holding portion 32 of the retainer member 30 is configured to be held in a state where the holding portion 21 of the seal member 20 is compressed, and the seal member 20 has a transition portion from the holding portion 21 to the lip portion 22. A second lip portion 23 is continuously provided in the direction opposite to the extending side of the peeling operation plate portion 31 of the retainer member 30. The second lip portion 23 has a straight portion 23a on the side facing the holding portion 21 and a curved portion 23b on the lip portion 22 side. The second lip portion 23 comes into contact with the wall surface on the mounting portion side of the seal member 20 to the seal mounting grooves 16 and 17.
[0025]
The present embodiment is configured as described above. In order to attach the seal member 20 to the inner ring 7 and the outer ring 8, the retainer member 30 is first connected to the seal member 20. For this purpose, as shown in FIG. 3, the retainer member 30 is configured so that the holding part 32 becomes a holding part 32 by applying an adhesive to the holding part 21 of the seal member 20 with the holding part 32 opened to some extent. It inserts between the site | parts used as the pieces 32a and 32b. In this state, the holding portion 32 having a predetermined shape is formed by caulking from the vertical direction. In this caulking state, the holding part 21 is compressed by the holding part pieces 32a and 32b, and therefore the holding part 21 is in close contact with the inner surface of the holding part 32. Accordingly, the adhesive member can be spread and spread uniformly, so that a strong adhesive force is exerted between the holding portion 21 and the holding portion 32, and the retainer member 30 is securely fixed to the seal member 20.
[0026]
In this manner, the seal member 20 is mounted so as to be inserted into the seal mounting grooves 16 and 17 of the inner ring 7 and the outer ring 8 with the retainer member 30 mounted. The seal member 20 is mounted such that the second lip portion 23 faces the slewing bearing 9 side and the peeling operation plate portion 31 of the retainer member 30 extends to the side opposite to the slewing bearing 9. The thickness of the holding part 21 of the seal member 20 is preferably slightly larger than the groove width dimension B of the seal mounting grooves 16 and 17. However, although the thickness of the holding portion 21 may not be uniform due to a vulcanization process or the like at the time of manufacturing the seal member 20, the portion held by the retainer member 30 is the groove width dimension B of the seal mounting grooves 16 and 17. more and so slightly become larger width D 2 is the thickness managed accurately performed, in a state in which an adhesive is applied to the outer surface of the retainer member 30 is inserted with a predetermined pushing force. Here, from the viewpoint of the stability of the seal member 20, it is preferable that the retainer member 30 be in a press-fit state as much as possible to be inserted into the seal mounting grooves 16 and 17. However, in order to perform press-fitting, the seal mounting grooves 16 and 17 must be pushed with a considerably strong force, which causes a problem such as deformation of the lip portion 22 of the seal member 20, and therefore a certain amount of pushing force. However, when an adhesive is used, it is not necessarily required to be in a press-fitted state.
[0027]
As a result, the retainer member 30 is in a state of being in close contact with the inner wall surfaces of the seal mounting grooves 16, 17, and the adhesive is uniformly spread, and the retainer member 30 and the seal mounting grooves 16, 17 are in contact with each other. Since the metal is bonded to the inner wall surface, a strong bonding effect is exerted, and it is held firmly and there is no possibility of deviating from the seal mounting grooves 16 and 17. A portion of the seal member 20 where the retainer member 30 is not mounted is inserted into the seal mounting grooves 16 and 17 such that the holding portion 21 is compressed. Then, by applying an adhesive to the portion where the holding portion 21 is exposed, this portion is also bonded to the seal mounting grooves 16 and 17. However, the holding portion 21 itself may vary in thickness, and thus there is a possibility that a sufficient adhesive force may not be achieved, but the portion where the retainer member 30 is attached is strongly bonded. There is no inconvenience that the seal member 20 deviates from the seal mounting grooves 16 and 17.
[0028]
Here, since the retainer member 30 is attached to the seal member 20 at a predetermined angle in the circumferential direction, the portion where the retainer member 30 is attached and the holding portion 21 are directly connected to the seal attachment groove 16, A slight gap is generated at the transition portion between the portion abutting on 17. However, since the seal member 20 is provided with the second lip portion 23, the seal member 20 is placed in the seal mounting grooves 16 and 17, and the linear portion 23 a of the second lip portion 23 is provided on the inner ring 7. The edge portions of the seal mounting grooves 16 and 17 are covered with the second lip portion 23 by inserting the outer peripheral surface 7a and the inner ring surface 8a of the outer ring 8 to a position where they abut. As a result, the part of the slewing bearing 9 provided between the inner ring 7 and the outer ring 8 is held in a completely sealed state by the seal members 20 provided above and below.
[0029]
By the way, since the lip portion 22 of the seal member 20 always slides after the seal member 20 is once mounted, the seal member 20 must be replaced when the lip portion 22 is worn. Further, when the slewing bearing 9 is contaminated, maintenance such as replacement and cleaning of the slewing bearing 9 is required. In this case, it is necessary to take out the seal member 20 from the seal mounting grooves 16, 17, but a peeling operation plate portion 31 is connected to the retainer member 30, and the peeling operation plate portion 31 is arranged on the outer periphery of the inner ring 7. Along the surface 7 a and the inner peripheral surface 8 a of the outer ring 8, it extends in the direction opposite to the portion where the swivel bearing 9 is provided. Accordingly, a jig is inserted from the outside between the peeling operation plate portion 31 and the outer peripheral surface 7a of the inner ring 7 and the inner peripheral surface 8a of the outer ring 8, and adhesion between the retainer member 30 and the seal mounting grooves 16, 17 is achieved. By peeling the agent, it can be easily removed from the seal mounting grooves 16 and 17 without damaging the seal member 20.
[0030]
【The invention's effect】
As described above, according to the present invention, the second lip portion is provided so as to extend in a direction substantially orthogonal to the lip portion of the seal member, and the elastic plate is provided at a plurality of locations in the circumferential direction of the holding portion. A retainer member having a substantially U-shaped body is held by the holding portion so as to be compressed by a predetermined amount, and a second lip is formed on the surface of the member on the side where the seal mounting groove is formed. The seal is provided on the inner ring and the outer ring even if there is some variation in the thickness dimension of the holding part of the seal member. There is an effect that it can be securely fixed to the mounting groove.
