Description
【0001】

[Industrial application fields]
The present invention relates to a data collection method for identifying load inertia of an electric motor, particularly inertia of an electric motor that drives a spindle of a machine tool.
[0002]
[Prior art]
In general, since the characteristics of the motor control system directly affect the operation of the motor, adjustment of the parameters of the control system is extremely important. FIG. 2 is a block diagram of the motor control system. Kv of 1 is a speed loop gain, 2 is a motor, 3 is a speed feedback, 4 is an integral gain, 5 is Kp is a position loop gain, 7 is a position feedback, J Is a load inertia of the motor, and S is a Laplace operator. In this block diagram, 1 speed loop gain Kv, 4 integral gain Ti, and 5 are control system parameters to be adjusted by the position loop gain Kp.
However, in general, the value of J (motor load inertia; more precisely, motor rotation inertia plus machine load inertia) is often unknown. Therefore, it is necessary to identify the value of the load inertia J.
Conventionally, as a method for identifying the load inertia, a stepped speed command is input in a state where only the speed loop gain functions, and the acceleration at two appropriate time points at the falling of the response waveform to the input command is observed, A method has been adopted in which a value obtained by multiplying a known speed loop gain by the time difference at the two time points and dividing the value by the natural logarithm ratio of the acceleration at the two time points is identified as the load inertia of the motor.
[0003]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, in the prior art, for example, the load inertia is estimated from the attenuation rate of the acceleration waveform obtained by subtracting the speed step response waveform of the speed control system (proportional control). In an actual motor control system, a ripple component due to the cogging torque of the motor is added to the acceleration waveform, so that an estimation error of load inertia becomes large at a low speed, that is, at a low speed. There is a strong demand for machine tools and the like to estimate load inertia at the lowest possible speed. Therefore, it is essential to remove the cogging torque component from the acceleration waveform. If the observed acceleration waveform was passed through a low-pass filter to remove ripple, the acceleration waveform itself changed and the load inertia could not be identified.
Therefore, the present invention has been made to solve the above-described problems, and relates to a data collection method for collecting data when identifying load inertia of an electric motor.
[0004]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to solve the above problem, the present invention is a data collection method for identifying load inertia of a motor using a step response observation waveform of a rotating shaft, and the motor rotation angle corresponding to one cycle of cogging torque is set to n. Equally divide n response waveforms by giving a speed step command at the rotation start point of the motor rotation shaft to each of the n equally divided points, and obtain n response waveforms from each rotation start time of the n response waveforms The step response observation waveform is obtained by averaging the observation values at the same elapsed time.
[0005]
[Action]
The present invention utilizes the fact that the cogging torque depends on the rotational position of the shaft, and its principle will be described below.
The principle of the present invention is shown in steps 1-5 of FIG. That is, first, the motor shaft central angle with respect to one period of cogging torque is divided into n equal parts (step 1), and the response waveform to the step input is observed n times while moving the rotation start angle by 1 / n of the central angle, (
Control system parameters are set using the estimated moment of inertia thus obtained (step 6).
The fact that the coking torque is canceled in step 4 of FIG. 1 will be described below.
FIG. 3 shows an example of a cogging torque waveform with respect to the motor rotation angle. In the case of FIG. 3, the cogging torque is approximated as a sine wave, and its cycle is one cycle with respect to the motor rotation angle β. Therefore, when the motor rotation angular velocity is ω, the cogging torque C (t) is
[Expression 1]
[0007]
It becomes. Here, the operation observation is performed by shifting the motor operation observation start angle by the movement angle (the underlined portion is described in the block in FIG. 1), but the movement angle is determined based on the motor rotation angle β by the number n of operation observations. Divided step width α
α = β / n (2)
[0008]
[Expression 2]
[0009]
And Here, n is the number of operations / observations when taking the moving average described below. Therefore, if the cogging torque of the i-th observation is C (t, i),
[Equation 3]
[0011]
It becomes. Therefore, the moving average value Cavg (t) of n cogging torque waveforms is
[Expression 4]
[0013]
Thus, the cogging torque is canceled and becomes zero.
[0014]
【Example】
Embodiments of the present invention will be described below with reference to the drawings. FIG. 4 is a diagram showing the configuration of an embodiment of the present invention, where 8 is an electric motor, 9 is a load inertia, 10 is a pulse generator that generates a pulse proportional to the amount of shaft rotation of the electric motor, and 11 is a host controller that generates a position command. , 12 is a servo controller that outputs a torque current to the motor using a position command and a feedback pulse from a pulse generator.
The host controller outputs a position ramp command to the servo controller, and the servo controller uses a speed step command obtained by differentiating the position command once. Acceleration can be obtained by differentiating the velocity output once.
In the motor used in the example, one period of cogging torque forms an angle of π / 3 with respect to the motor shaft. That is, [0015]
[Equation 5]
[0016]
It is.
Assuming that the average number of samples n is 10,
[Formula 6]
[0018]
It becomes.
FIG. 5 is a diagram showing an acceleration response waveform when cogging exists, and the influence of cogging torque appears as waveform distortion. FIG. 6 shows an acceleration observation waveform obtained by averaging 10 times with respect to the waveform shown in FIG. 5, and the influence of cogging is offset. FIG. 7 is a flowchart showing the embodiment. FIG. 7 is a flowchart in the case where the n equality in step 1 in FIG.
[0019]
【The invention's effect】
As described above, according to the present invention, the disturbance component caused by the cogging torque included in the acceleration waveform for estimating the moment of inertia can be removed, and the moment of inertia is identified by rotating the motor at a low speed. Even so, a highly accurate identification value of the moment of inertia can be obtained. In other words, it is possible to set the parameters of the motor control system to optimum values even when the motor is rotated at a low speed, which is impossible with the prior art.
