本発明は、水栓本体の弁部分を形成する部材の流入口部と、水及び湯の供給接続管との間をフレキシブル管を用いて簡単に接続するようにした技術に関するものである。

【従来の技術】
通常、水栓金具の水又は湯の流通系路は、図3及び図4の部分縦断面図に示すタイプのものと、図5の部分縦断面図に示すタイプのものとがある。図3及び図4に示すタイプのものは、水栓本体の弁機構部と脚部との間の流入通路を、導入管を用いて接続するようにしたものであり、また図5に示すタイプのものは、水栓本体の弁機構部と脚部との間の流入通路を、水栓本体の鋳込み時にこれと一体形成するようにしたものである。

而して、図3及び図4に示すタイプの水栓金具は、シングルレバー式の湯水混合水栓である。同図に示す如く、この湯水混合水栓1は、底板2とカバー3とより成る基部外殻体4の中央部に、筒状のピン部材5a,5bを介して水栓本体6を立設している。なお、底板2とカバー3とは、図示しない螺子部材により連結されている。そして、底板2の下面側から筒状のピン部材5a,5bを貫通して水栓本体6へ螺子部材7a,7bを螺着することで、水栓本体6を底板2へ固定している。

前記水栓本体6の下部側外周面には、吐水口8を備えた吐水口部9が回動自在に外嵌装着されている。また水栓本体6の上部側の外周面には、キャップ10が螺子込みにより外嵌装着されている。一方、水栓本体6の上面側には、固定ディスク11と可動ディスク12との二枚のディスク弁体より成る弁機構13が配設されている。キャップ10の頭部を貫通するシングルレバー14で、前記可動ディスク12を操作することにより、湯と水の流量(混合割合)を制御することが可能である。
これにより、吐水口8から吐出される温水の温度を所望する値へ調節することができ、また同時に流量を調節することが可能である。

而して、底板2の両端側には、湯水混合水栓1の取り付けと、湯,水の流入通路とを兼用する脚部15及び16が取り付けられている。この脚部15と16とは、基部外殻体4内に配設された銅製の導入管17及び18を介して水栓本体6の湯,水の流入口19,20へ接続されている。
通常は、この導入管17及び18の両端側は、それぞれ鑞付けにより前記水栓本体6及び脚部15,16へ接続されている。しかも、この導入管17及び18の各接続部は、L字状に折曲された部位17a,17bと、18a,18bとを有している。

なお、図3及び図4において、21は底板2の下面側に配設されたゴムパッキン、22は洗面化粧台のカウンター又は洗面器等の湯水混合水栓1を取り付ける相手方部材である。また図4において、23は水栓本体6に形成された温水の流出口であり、24は混合室である。

一方、図5に示すタイプの水栓金具もシングルレバー式の湯水混合水栓25である。この湯水混合水栓25は、水栓本体26の全体を鋳造により成形したものであり、弁機構13(図4に示すものと同じであり、これを参照)へ連通する水栓本体26の湯,水の流入口19及び20(図3参照)と、脚部27及び28との間の流入通路29を、水栓本体26と一体的に鋳造するようにしている。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
ところで、これらの湯水混合水栓1及び25にあっては、それぞれ次のような欠点があった。
すなわち、図3及び図4に示す湯水混合水栓1にあっては、基部外殻体4内に配設された銅製の導入管17及び18を介して水栓本体6の湯,水の流入口19,20と、脚部15,16とを接続している。この接続は、導入管17及び18が銅製であるため、それぞれの両端側を鑞付けにより行わねばならない。

このような鑞付けは、それぞれの接続部において同心状に配列しなければならず、その芯合わせが難しく、また受口側と差し込み側とを高精度に仕上げる必要があり、更には径の細い部分での作業であるため、作業自体が困難なものであった。

しかも、前記導入管17及び18の各接続部は、L字状に折曲された部位17a及び17bと、18a及び18bとを有しており、その折曲作業も寸法精度が要求されており、力を入れ過ぎると折曲部が偏平となり、使用できなくなるという問題もあった。

一方、図5に示す湯水混合水栓25にあっては、水栓本体26の全体並びにその内部に形成される流入通路29を一体的に鋳造しており、材料コストが高く、その後に行われる加工コストもかかるという問題があった。

【課題を解決するための手段】
本発明は従来の前記課題に鑑みてこれを改良除去したものであって、フレキシブル管を用いて水栓本体の弁機構の流入口側と、給水源に連通する接続管とを接続することにより、接続作業の簡易化と低コスト化とを実現するようにしたものである。

而して、前記課題を解決するために本発明が採用した手段は、水栓本体の下端面側を直接底板に当接させるように形成し、水栓本体の弁機構の流入口部を水栓本体外殻体と底板との間の水栓本体の周側面に開口して設け、該流入口部にフレキシブル管の一端側を水平方向から接続し、他端側を水栓本体の外殻体内を通って外部へ導出したことを特徴とする水栓金具の導入管の接続構造である。

【発明の実施の形態】
以下に、本発明の構成を図面に示す発明の実施の形態に基づいて説明すると次の通りである。なお、従来の場合と同一符号は同一部材である。
図1は本発明の出発点である基本的な考え方を示す水栓金具27の部分縦断面図である。同図に示す如く、この水栓金具27にあっては、水栓本体6の弁機構13へ連通する湯水の流入口19及び20へフレキシブル管28及び29の一端側を嵌合装着する。この一端側には、Oリング30が外嵌装着されており、それぞれの流入口19及び20とのシールを行っている。

フレキシブル管28及び29の他端側は、それぞれ水栓本体の外殻体であるカバー3内を通り、更に底板2の下面側に突出形成された筒状螺子部31を通って外部へ導出され、接続用の袋ナット32が取り付けられている。前記筒状螺子部31は、洗面カウンター等の相手方部材22の取付用孔33を貫通し、その下面側で固定ナット34が螺着されている。これにより、水栓金具27の全体を洗面カウンター等の相手方部材22へ固定することが可能である。
前記フレキシブル管28及び29の他端側は、給湯源又は給水源とを接続するための別のフレキシブル管(図示せず)等へ連通接続すればよい。

このように構成された水栓金具27であれば、湯水の流入通路のうち、弁機構13の流入口19及び20への導入部分をフレキシブル管28及び29の一端側を差し込むだけの単純な作業によって形成することが可能であり、従来のように銅管を鑞付けしたり、水栓本体の全体と共に一体的に鋳込み成形する必要がない。そのため、水栓金具27の組立作業を極めて簡略化することが可能であり、また優れた低コスト化が可能である。

図2は本発明の一実施の形態に係る水栓金具35を示す部分縦断面図である。この水栓金具35は、水栓本体6の下端面側が直接底板2に当接してこれに直接結合されるタイプのものである。弁機構13の流入口19及び20が水栓本体の周側面へ開口しており、フレキシブル管28及び29の一端側の差し込みが水平方向から行うこと以外は、前述した図1に示す基本的な考え方の場合と同じである。

【発明の効果】
以上説明したように本発明にあっては、水栓本体の下端面側を直接底板に当接させるように形成し、水栓本体の弁機構の流入口部を水栓本体外殻体と底板との間の水栓本体の周側面に開口して設け、該流入口部にフレキシブル管の一端側を水平方向から接続し、他端側を水栓本体の外殻体内を通って外部へ導出したから、水栓金具の組立作業を極めて簡単に行うことが可能であり、また優れた低コスト化を実現することが可能である。
