本発明は、製袋充填包装機において、筒状に成形されたフィルムを切断する際に、その切離されたフィルムの両切断縁部に開封用切欠きを付与する製袋充填機におけるフィルムの切断用ナイフに関するものである。

従来、筒状成形されたフィルムに被包装物を充填した後、該被包装物を挟む前後で筒状のフィルムを横シール・切断することで得られる包装袋では、その開封を容易になし得るようにするために、該包装袋の切断端縁部に、V字状の切欠きを形成することが行なわれている。

しかしながら、従来の切欠きでは、包装袋(フィルム)の材質によっては、その開封に際して該袋を引き裂くことが困難なものがある。また切欠きは、包装袋の一端部側にしか形成しないのが一般的であり、開封時の利便性が劣る難点が指摘される。

この発明は、前述した従来の技術に内在している前記課題に鑑み、これを好適に解決するべく提案されたものであって、フィルムの両切断縁部に対して、良好な開封性を有する開封用切欠きを付与し得る製袋充填機におけるフィルムの切断用ナイフを提供することを目的とする。

【作用】
筒状に成形されたフィルムは、切断用ナイフにおける切離用刃先によって切離される。このとき、該ナイフに設けた切欠き用切断刃におけるV字状刃先によって、フィルムの切断縁部にV字状の開封用切欠きが形成される。またV字状刃先における二つの切欠き用刃先の交点から延びる切目用刃先により、該フィルムには、V字状の開封用切欠きにおける傾斜辺の交点から延びる切目が形成される。これにより、フィルムの材質に拘らず、得られた包装袋の良好な開封を行ない得る。また、フィルムの両切断縁部に夫々開封用切欠きおよび切目が形成されるから、何れの側からも容易に開封を行なうことができる。

【発明の実施の形態】
次に、本発明に係る製袋充填機におけるフィルムの切断用ナイフにつき、好適な実施例を挙げて、添付図面を参照しながら以下説明する。

図1は、実施例に係る切断用ナイフを示すものであって、該ナイフ10は、横型製袋充填機(製袋充填機)の横シール装置12に配設されて使用される。この横シール装置12は、図7に示す如く、筒状に成形されたフィルムFの移送経路を挟む上下に対向する上部シール体14と下部シール体16とを備え、両シール体14,16を当接させることによって筒状のフィルムFを挟持した状態で、該両シール体14,16を筒状のフィルムFの移送方向に沿って同期的に水平移動した後、相互に離間して後退し、再び相互に当接して水平移動する、所謂ボックスモーションを繰返すよう構成される。

前記上部シール体14には、下方に開放して筒状のフィルムFの幅方向(フィルム移送方向と交差する方向)に延在する上スリット溝14aが形成され、該スリット溝14aを挟むフィルム移送方向前後にシール面14bが夫々形成される。また前記下部シール体16には、上方に開放して筒状のフィルムFの幅方向に延在する下スリット溝16aが形成され、該スリット溝16aを挟むフィルム移送方向前後にシール面16bが夫々形成される。なお、両シール体14,16には加熱ヒータ(図示せず)が埋設されている。すなわち、両シール体14,16の対向する各シール面14b,16b同士を当接して筒状のフィルムFを挟持することで、両スリット溝14a,16aを挟む前後で該フィルムFを熱溶着して横シール部18,18を形成するよう構成される(図8参照)。

前記上部シール体14の上スリット溝14a中に、前記切断用ナイフ10が上下動可能に収納されており、該ナイフ10は、上部シール体14に配設された空気圧シリンダ20によって、その刃部22が上スリット溝14a中に臨む後退位置とシール面14bから下方に突出する作動位置との間を進退移動されるようになっている。そして、上下のシール体14,16が相互に近接して、各シール面14b,16bを夫々当接させた際に、切断用ナイフ10を退避位置から作動位置に移動することで、その刃部22が下部シール体14の下スリット溝14aに突入する過程で、筒状のフィルムFを、前後の横シール部18,18の間において横断するように突き押し切断して該フィルムFを切離すよう構成される。

前記切断用ナイフ10は、図1に示す如く、所要厚みを持つ本体24の下縁に沿って前記刃部22が成形されており、筒状のフィルムFの幅方向に対応する該刃部22の幅寸法(図1における図面左右方向の寸法)は、筒状のフィルムFから得られる包装袋44の幅寸法(図8における図面上下方向の寸法)よりも長尺に設定されている。また該刃部22下縁には、幅方向(ナイフ進行方向と交差する方向)に離間してフィルムFと平行に当接する一対の平行刃先26,26、およびその他の部分に斜状に形成されて全体的に正面山形状(V字形状)に連続する鋸刃状刃先28(図5参照)からなる切離用刃先30が形成され、該切離用刃先30によって筒状のフィルムFを直線的に切離すようになっている。

前記刃部22における切離用刃先30の各平行刃先26が形成されている部位で、フィルム移送方向前後に対応する切断用ナイフ10の厚さ方向における表側(側方)および裏側(側方)に、筒状のフィルムFの切断縁部にV字状の開封用切欠き32を付与する同一形状の切欠き用切断刃34が、夫々一箇所ずつ設けられている(図2参照)。各切欠き用切断刃34は、図3に示す如く、V字状に交わる二つの切欠き用刃先36a,36aからなるV字状刃先36と、両切欠き用刃先36a,36aの交点(切先)38から延びる切目用刃先40とから構成され、該V字状刃先36により前記フィルムFの切断縁部にV字状の開封用切欠き32を付与すると共に、切目用刃先40により開封用切欠き32における二つの傾斜辺32a,32aの交点から延びる直線的な切目42を該フィルムFに付与するようになっている。なお、表側に設けられる切欠き用切断刃34と裏側に設けられる切欠き用切断刃34との離間幅は、筒状のフィルムFから得られる包装袋44の幅寸法より小さく設定され、図8に示す如く、フィルムFの切断縁部前後における幅方向側方寄りにV字状の開封用切欠き32が夫々付与されるようになっている。

前記V字状刃先36における二つの切欠き用刃先36a,36aは、図3,図4および図6に示す如く、前記切離用刃先30の平行刃先26から、フィルム切断時のナイフ進行方向前側でナイフ厚み方向の前方または後方に延びて交わることで、該交点38が切離用刃先30の側方に位置するよう設定される。また前記切目用刃先40は、前記二つの切欠き用刃先36a,36aの交点38からナイフ進行方向後側で、更にナイフ厚み方向の前方または後方に向けてフィルム移送方向と平行で直線的に延びている。これにより、横シール装置12で筒状のフィルムFが横シール・切断されることで得られる包装袋44の前後の端縁部には、V字状の開封用切欠き32と、該開封用切欠き32における両傾斜辺32a,32aの交点から前後方向に直線的に延びる切目42とが夫々形成される。

【実施例の作用】
次に、前述した実施例に係るフィルムの切断用ナイフの作用につき説明する。前記横シール装置12の上流側で筒状に成形されると共に被包装物が充填された筒状のフィルムFは、該横シール装置12により被包送物を挟む前後位置で横シール・切断されて包装袋44が製造される。

前記切断用ナイフ10のフィルム切断状態について詳細に観察すると、前記上下のシール体14,16が相互に近接して筒状のフィルムFを各シール面14b,16bで挟持した後のタイミングで、前記空気圧シリンダ20によって切断用ナイフ10が退避位置から作動位置に前進移動されることで、該フィルムFの突き押し切断が開始される。この切断開始時点では、前記各切欠き用切断刃34のV字状刃先36と切目用刃先40の交点(切欠き用刃先36a,36aの交点)38が、フィルムFに最初に突き刺さった後に、V字状刃先36および切目用刃先40で該フィルムFを切込み始める。そして突き押しの進行において、該V字状刃先36および切目用刃先40により、図8に示す如く、フィルムFの切断端部にはV字状の開封用切欠き32および直線的な切目42が良好に付与される。また、前記平行刃先26と鋸刃状刃先28とからなる切離用刃先30により、該フィルムFは横断方向に切断されて前後に切離される。切欠き用切断刃34は、切離用刃先30を挟む前後両側に一箇所ずつ設けられているから、フィルムFの切断端部の前後には、図8に示す如く、夫々開封用切欠き32および切目42が付与される。すなわち、得られた包装袋44の前後の端縁部に、開封用切欠き32および切目42が夫々付与され、何れの側からの開封も容易に行ない得る。

【別実施例】
図9〜図11は、別実施例に係る切断用ナイフを示すものであって、該切断用ナイフ46は、切離用刃先48を有する切離用ナイフ50と、切欠き用切断刃52を有する切欠き用ナイフ54とを別個のものとし、切離用ナイフ50に対する切欠き用ナイフ54の配設位置を幅方向に変更可能に構成したものである。すなわち切離用ナイフ50は、図9に示す如く、所要厚みを持つ本体56の下縁に沿って刃部58が成形されており、該刃部58の幅寸法は、筒状のフィルムFから得られる包装袋44の幅寸法よりも長尺に設定されている。また該刃部58下縁には、斜状に形成されて全体的に正面山形状(V字形状)に連続する鋸刃状の切離用刃先48が幅方向の全長に亘って形成され、該切離用刃先48によって筒状のフィルムFを直線的に切離すよう構成される。なお切離用ナイフ50の本体56には、幅方向に適宜ピッチで多数の取付孔56aが設けられている。

前記切欠き用ナイフ54は、図10に示す如く、正面において略T字状に形成され、その幅方向に延在する取付部60に、幅方向に適宜ピッチで多数のネジ孔60aが設けられている。これらネジ孔60aのピッチは、2つ以上のネジ孔60aが、前記切離用ナイフ50の対応する取付孔56aに一致し得る値に設定してある。すなわち、ネジ孔60aを前記切離用ナイフ50の対応する取付孔56aに一致した状態で、各取付孔56a側から挿入した皿ネジ62をネジ孔60aに螺挿することで、切離用ナイフ50に切欠き用ナイフ54が取付けられるよう構成される(図11参照)。なお取付孔56aは、皿ネジ62の頭が突出しない形状に形成されている。

【変更例】
本願発明に係る切断用ナイフは、前述した各実施例の構成に限定されるものでなく、各種の変更が可能である。
例えば、切離用刃先については、平行刃先を省略して、各切欠き用切断刃のV字状刃先におけるナイフ進行方向後端部と、鋸刃状刃先のナイフ進行方向前端部とを直に連続するように形成してもよい。また、実施例のような平行刃先と鋸刃状刃先との組合わせの他に、各V字状刃先におけるナイフ進行方向後端部より形成される連続した曲線、あるいは直線で構成される切離用刃先を、ナイフ進行方向後方へ延びるように設ける構成を採用し得る。但し、切離用刃先を連続する直線とした場合は、両切欠き用切断刃の間で、この直線切離用刃先が交わるようにする。
また切欠き用切断刃については、切離用刃先を挟む両側方に、夫々2箇所以上設けてもよい。

以上説明した如く、本発明の請求項1に係る製袋充填機におけるフィルムの切断用ナイフによれば、フィルムの両切断縁部にV字状の開封用切欠きが形成されるので、得られた包装袋においては何れの端縁部側からでも開封ができ、利便性が向上する。またフィルムの切断縁部には、開封用切欠きにおける二つの傾斜辺の交点から切目が更に形成されるから、フィルムの材質に拘らず引き裂きが容易であり、包装袋の開封性が良好となる。
