BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for analyzing the concentration of a trace amount of an organic compound contained in a gas. The present invention relates to an analysis method and an analysis apparatus suitable for analyzing the concentration of at least one of chlorobenzenes and chlorophenols.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Gas chromatographic methods, electrochemical methods, and the like are known as methods for analyzing trace amounts of dioxins contained in gas. A dioxin precursor, a method that measures chlorobenzenes and chlorophenols, which have a correlation with dioxin concentrations, as alternative indicators for dioxins, measures these concentrations, and measures the dioxin concentration from the correlation between these and dioxins. And disclosed in Japanese Patent Laid-Open Nos. 5-312796 and 9-15229.
[0003]
In an analyzer that measures the concentration of dioxins with higher accuracy, chlorophenol, which is a precursor material of dioxins, is quantitatively analyzed using mass spectrometry. The principle of the analyzer is the same as that of the mass spectrometer, and chlorophenol is quantitatively analyzed from the change in signal intensity corresponding to the mass number of the fragment inherent to the chlorophenol to be measured.
[0004]
According to the evaluation of the characteristics of conventional analyzers, if hydrogen chloride (hereinafter referred to as HCl) coexists in the exhaust gas generated from the combustion apparatus, this becomes a detected alienation component, and the signal intensity of the chlorophenol being measured is remarkably high. Declined.
[0005]
As a method for removing HCl which is a detected alienating component, there is a method in which HCl is absorbed by the adsorbent as described in JP-A-11-285159, and according to this method, the HCl concentration at the adsorbent outlet is Can be reduced to about 10 ppm.
[0006]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
An object of the present invention is to provide a pretreatment method capable of reducing HCl as a detected alienating component to a concentration of 0.1 ppm or less in a method and apparatus for analyzing the concentration of chlorophenol or chlorobenzene.
[0007]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
The present invention relates to a method for analyzing a trace amount of an organic compound contained in a gas, wherein the gas is cooled as a pretreatment method for removing hydrogen chloride contained in the gas in advance. In the method, water vapor contained in the gas is condensed, and hydrogen chloride contained in the gas is dissolved and removed in the generated moisture.
[0008]
According to this pretreatment method, not only hydrogen chloride but also halides such as hydrogen bromide (hereinafter referred to as HBr) can be removed to a level of 0.1 ppm or less. HBr is also an analytical alien component in mass spectrometry of chlorophenol.
[0009]
The present invention can be applied not only to analysis of chlorophenol, but also to analysis of chlorobenzene and analysis of organic compounds.
[0010]
The present invention also provides an in-gas trace component analyzer that analyzes the concentration of a trace amount of an organic compound contained in a gas. This analyzer is a pretreatment means for removing halides such as hydrogen chloride and hydrogen bromide contained in the gas in advance by condensing the water vapor contained in the gas by cooling the gas and generating water A means for dissolving and removing the halides such as hydrogen chloride and hydrogen bromide therein is provided.
[0011]
The concentration of chlorobenzenes or chlorophenols contained in the exhaust gas is extremely low compared to the concentration of hydrogen chloride that interferes with these analyses. The concentration of hydrogen chloride is on the order of ppm, whereas the concentration of chlorobenzenes or chlorophenols is on the order of ppb. In order to improve the analysis accuracy of chlorophenols and chlorobenzenes, it is desired to reduce HCl, which is a detected alienating component when analyzing them, to a concentration of 5 ppm or less, preferably 1 ppm or less.
[0012]
In the pretreatment method of the present invention, only HCL and HBr are selectively removed from the exhaust gas, and chlorophenol and chlorobenzene, which are analysis targets, are permeated without being removed.
[0013]
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
An embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to FIGS. In the following explanation, chlorophenol is taken up as a dioxin precursor and HCl is taken up as an analytical alien component of chlorophenol, but it can also be applied to the case of analyzing chlorobenzene and removing HBr.
[0014]
FIG. 1 is a system diagram showing an entire system of an analyzer which is an embodiment of the present invention. This system is roughly divided into a cooling device 1, a drain pot for

The analysis procedure can be divided into standard substance verification, gas introduction to the cooling system, and actual gas introduction. At the time of the standard substance test, the
[0016]
FIG. 2 shows the relationship between the water vapor concentration and the relative value of the TCP signal intensity in the embodiment of FIG. The horizontal axis represents the water vapor concentration in the aeration gas, and the vertical axis represents the relative value of the chlorophenol (abbreviated as TCP) signal intensity. The concentration of HCl in the gas was changed in four ways, including the case where it did not coexist. When the HCl concentration is 0 ppm, the relative value of the chlorophenol signal intensity decreases as the water vapor concentration increases, indicating that H 2 O is also a disturbing component of the chlorophenol signal intensity. Therefore, removing moisture in the gas in the cooling device leads to an improvement in chlorophenol precursor analysis accuracy. When the HCl concentration of 200 ppm to 1000 ppm is compared with the relative value of the chlorophenol signal intensity when the HCl concentration is 0 ppm, the relative value of the chlorophenol signal intensity slightly decreases when the HCl concentration is 1000 ppm. In this condition range, it can be seen that HCl can be removed until the influence is almost eliminated by using the cooling device of the present invention. The analysis result of the HCl concentration in the gas at the inlet and outlet of the cooling device shows that when the inlet HCl concentration is 450 ppm, the cooling device temperature is 24 ° C., and the water vapor concentration is 14%, the outlet HCl concentration is 0.03 ppm. When the inlet HCl concentration was 1000 ppm, the cooling device temperature was 21 ° C., and the water vapor concentration was 30%, the outlet HCl concentration was 0.08 ppm. Thus, the HCl concentration in the cooling device outlet gas can be reduced to 0.1 ppm or less.
[0017]
FIG. 3 shows an allowable range of operation conditions in the embodiment shown in FIG. The horizontal axis represents the cooling device temperature, and the vertical axis represents the water vapor concentration in the gas to be measured. From this figure, the condition range of the cooling device temperature and the water vapor temperature for obtaining the target relative value of the chlorophenol signal intensity can be determined. For example, in order to satisfy a relative value of chlorophenol signal intensity of 40%, the cooling device temperature may be set in the hatched range in accordance with a predetermined water vapor concentration. The temperature range of the cooling device capable of obtaining the target TCP signal intensity tends to be expanded as the water vapor concentration is lowered.
[0018]
When the cooling device temperature exceeds a certain temperature at a certain water vapor concentration, the signal strength decreases because the saturated water vapor concentration at the outlet of the cooling device increases, so the amount of condensed water generated in the cooling device decreases and the exhaust gas is exhausted. This is because HCl in the gas cannot be removed efficiently. In addition, the signal intensity decreases below a certain temperature because the chlorophenol is easily dissolved in the condensed water under the influence of water vapor within the cooling device or is easily adsorbed inside the cooling device. it is conceivable that. For the above reasons, in order to obtain a high chlorophenol signal intensity, it is desirable to control the temperature of the cooling device in accordance with the water vapor concentration in the gas.
[0019]
FIG. 4 is a system diagram showing an entire system of an analyzer that is another embodiment of the present invention. In this embodiment, the water supply means 17 is provided at the upstream position of the cooling device 1 so that the water can be replenished. In FIG. 3, when the cooling device temperature increases at a constant water vapor concentration, the TCP signal intensity becomes 40% or less because the amount of condensed water inside the cooling device decreases and HCl cannot be sufficiently absorbed. Therefore, in this case, it is necessary to secure moisture so that HCl can be sufficiently removed by supplying moisture from the moisture supply means 17.

【The invention's effect】
According to the present invention, the analytical alienation component composed of halides such as HCl and HBr contained in the exhaust gas is removed at a high level, so that the analysis accuracy of chlorophenol or chlorobenzene can be improved.
