Description
【0001】

[Industrial application fields]
The present invention relates to a color facsimile apparatus. More specifically, the present invention can be applied to a color correction technique of a color facsimile apparatus using an ink jet, and also applies color printing by applying a multi-value dither method, a multi-value error diffusion method, or the like. In particular, a color facsimile apparatus that can improve the reproducibility of the color recorded on the recording paper by correcting the reproducibility of the color due to the bleeding of the ink recorded on the recording paper About.
[0002]
[Prior art]
In general, a thermal recording system that records an image on thermal paper is often used as an image recording unit of a facsimile apparatus. However, the thermal paper used in this thermal recording system has the property of being discolored by heat, friction, chemicals, or the like, so it is said that it is not suitable for storing and using recorded images.
[0003]
On the other hand, a facsimile machine equipped with an image recording unit of an electrophotographic recording method instead of a thermal recording method records an image on plain paper instead of thermal paper, and therefore saves a recorded image as compared with the case where the thermal recording method is adopted. It is suitable for the case.
However, since the image recording unit of this electrophotographic recording system adopts the electrophotographic recording system, there is a disadvantage that the device configuration is complicated and the apparatus cost is increased as compared with the thermal recording system.
[0004]
By the way, in recent years, personal computers (hereinafter referred to as personal computers) have become widespread. A personal computer is usually widely used as a computer system to which an input / output device such as a printer is connected.
In the case of a printer used for such a personal computer, a printer that can record information on plain paper and is very inexpensive is often used.
[0005]
In particular, in recent years, a printer that records on plain paper using a color ink jet can be provided with a plurality of color inks, and therefore has the advantage that a color image can be easily printed on plain paper at low cost. Have. Therefore, a facsimile apparatus using such a color ink jet printer has been studied.
[0006]
As shown in FIG. 11, the ink jet uses a
[0007]
Unlike the ink jet recording method shown in FIG. 11, the color ink jet does not form a color image with the amounts of four colors of magenta, cyan, yellow, and black, but uses a multi-value error diffusion method. Multi-colors are reproduced when viewed from far away in a certain area.
As a method for correcting color reading information, there is one reported in, for example, Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 62-7270. In this conventional color reading information correction method, a recording correction unit corresponding to the recording characteristics of the ink is provided so that the reading signal accurately represents the color information of the document.
[0008]
As a color separation device, for example, there is one reported in Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 61-67369. In this conventional color separation apparatus, a memory for storing correction data for correcting the color characteristics of the color image input apparatus and each of the three primary color data are corrected by the correction data in the memory.
As for the image forming apparatus, for example, there is one reported in JP-A-4-152751. This conventional image forming apparatus includes a writing unit for writing a predetermined test pattern, and a toner adhesion state measuring unit for reproducing a test pattern developed with toner by the writing unit, and inputs the measured measurement value. The process is performed by feeding back to a predetermined process.
[0009]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, in the conventional color facsimile apparatus using the color ink jet described above, due to the nature of the recording paper, the ink may bleed or dry, resulting in a reddish tint that you do not want to see or a blue tint. As a result, the color reproduced on the recording paper is different from the actual one, and the reproducibility of the color recorded on the recording paper is lowered. In particular, with recycled paper and OHP paper, it was easy to see the roughness of the dots by flipping ink.
[0010]
In addition, in those reported in the above-mentioned JP-A-62-2270, JP-A-61-67369, and JP-A-4-152751, the deterioration is caused by ink bleeding and drying properties due to the properties of the recording paper. No mention is made of preventing color reproducibility, and it is not intended to prevent this color reproducibility. Eventually, the same problems as described above arise.
[0011]
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION An object of the present invention is to provide a color facsimile apparatus that can improve the reproducibility of colors recorded on recording paper by correcting the reproducibility of colors due to bleeding of ink recorded on the recording paper. It is said.
[0012]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
According to the first aspect of the present invention, there is provided image reading means for receiving color image information of a set original, image receiving means for receiving color image information from a communication partner, color image information read by the image reading means, or Correction for correcting the characteristics of the image reading means of the counterpart in a color facsimile apparatus having color recording means for recording color image information received by the image receiving means on a recording paper using color ink or color thermal A receiving correction table registering means for registering the data table, and when receiving the data number of the partner machine from the transmission destination when receiving, the data corresponding to the data number of the partner machine is received from the receiving correction table registering means. [0023]
For this reason, by setting the masking data based on the data corresponding to the data number of the partner machine, the characteristics of the partner machine can be corrected even using the reading unit or recording unit of the own machine or the partner machine. Can reproduce colors faithful to the originalThe
[0024]
AlsoWhen copying, masking data is set based on the correction table of the reading unit of the own device, and Y, M, and C data can be corrected based on the set masking data to perform recording. Since the color reproducibility due to ink bleeding on the recording paper caused by the state of ink or the like can be corrected, the reproducibility of the color recorded on the recording paper can be improved.

Next, FIG. 7 is a diagram showing a masking correction table according to the second embodiment of the present invention, and FIG. 8 is a flowchart showing a processing flow of the second embodiment according to the present invention. This embodiment can also be applied to the color facsimile apparatus shown in FIGS.
[0052]
The first embodiment is a case where the color reproducibility on the own device side is corrected, and cannot be corrected without knowing the characteristics on the counterpart device side. In this embodiment, therefore, a correction table for copying and a plurality of correction tables for reception for correcting the characteristics of the reading unit of the transmission partner are provided.
In this embodiment, as shown in FIG. 7, a typical correction table is created in advance and stored in the memory. The reception correction table is read from the memory at the time of reception, and the copy correction table is read from the memory at the time of copying. The data table is switched between reading and copying and receiving.
[0053]
In this embodiment, when the printing operation starts and is received (step S11), when the data number of the partner machine is received from the sending partner (step S12), the data number of the partner machine is read from the correction table 41 of the memory. Is read out (step S13).
Next, after masking data is set by the masking
[0054]
On the other hand, when the printing operation is started and copying is performed (step S11), the copy correction table of the reading unit is read from the correction table 41 of the memory (step S16), and the data of the read copy correction table is used as a basis. After the masking data is set by the masking processing circuit 36 (step S14), the Y, M and C data are corrected based on the set masking data (step S15).
[0055]
Further, when the data No of the partner machine is not received at the time of reception (steps S11 and S12), the table 2 (or table 3 etc.) is read from the correction table 41 of the memory (step S17), and based on the read data of the table 2 After the masking data is set by the masking circuit 36 (step S14), the Y, M and C data are corrected based on the set masking data (step S15).
[0056]
In this way, this implementationIn the exampleWhen receiving the data No. of the partner device from the transmission partner at the time of reception, the data corresponding to the data No. of the partner device is read from the correction table 41 of the memory from the correction table for reception, and the read data of the correction table is read After masking data is set by the masking
[0057]
For this reason, by setting the masking data based on the correction table corresponding to the data No. of the partner machine at the time of reception, the characteristics of the partner machine can be corrected even when using the reading unit or the recording unit of the own machine or the partner machine. Therefore, it is possible to reproduce colors that are faithful to the original.
ImplementationAn example isThe copy correction table of the automatic reading unit is read from the correction table 41 of the memory at the time of copying, masking data is set by the masking
[0058]
For this reason, by setting the masking data based on the copy correction table of the reading unit at the time of copying, the color reproducibility due to ink bleeding on the recording paper caused by the characteristics of the recording paper and the ink state is corrected. Therefore, the reproducibility of the color recorded on the recording paper can be improved.
(Example 3)
Next, FIG. 9 is a diagram showing a masking correction table according to the third embodiment of the present invention, and FIG. 10 is a flowchart showing a processing flow of the third embodiment according to the present invention. This embodiment can also be applied to the color facsimile apparatus shown in FIGS.
[0059]
The first embodiment is a case where the color reproducibility on the own device side is corrected, and cannot be corrected without knowing the characteristics on the counterpart device side. Therefore, in this embodiment, a copy correction table similar to that in the second embodiment shown in FIG. 7 and a plurality of corrections for correcting the characteristics of the image reading unit corresponding to the telephone number of the other party as shown in FIG. The number of correction tables 51 for reception is registered in the memory.
[0060]
In this embodiment, as shown in FIG. 9, a typical correction table 51 is created in advance and stored in the memory, and when receiving, the correction table corresponding to the telephone number transmitted from the transmission partner is read from the memory and copied. Sometimes, like the second embodiment, the copy correction table is read from the memory, and the data table is switched between copying and receiving.
[0061]
In this embodiment, when the printing operation starts and is received (step S21), when the telephone number of the partner machine is received from the transmission partner (step S22), the telephone number of the partner machine is read from the correction table 51 of the memory. Is read out (step S23).
Next, masking data is set by the masking
[0062]
On the other hand, when the printing operation is started and copying is performed (step S21), the copy correction table of the own reading unit is read from the correction table 41 of the memory (step S26) and read as in the second embodiment of FIG. After the masking data is set by the masking
[0063]
Further, when the other party's telephone No is not received at the time of reception (steps S21 and S22), the table 2 (or table 3 etc.) is read from the correction table 41 of the memory as in the second embodiment of FIG. After the masking data is set by the masking
[0064]
In this way, this implementationIn the exampleWhen receiving the telephone number of the partner machine from the transmission partner at the time of reception, the data corresponding to the telephone number of the partner machine is read from the correction table 51 of the memory from the correction table, and masking processing is performed based on the read data of the correction table After the masking data is set by the
For this reason, by setting the masking data based on the correction table corresponding to the telephone number of the partner machine, the characteristics of the partner machine can be corrected even using the reading unit or the recording unit of the own machine or the partner machine. Therefore, it is possible to reproduce colors that are faithful to the original.
[0065]
In this embodiment, at the time of copying, the correction table of the automatic reading unit is read from the correction table 41 of the memory, masking data is set by the masking
[0066]
For this reason, masking data can be set based on the copy correction table of the reading unit at the time of copying, so that color reproducibility due to ink bleeding on the recording paper caused by the characteristics of the recording paper, ink status, etc. Therefore, the reproducibility of the color recorded on the recording paper can be improved.
In the second and third embodiments, the masking data is set based on the correction table corresponding to the data No. and telephone number of the partner machine transmitted from the destination at the time of reception, and the Y, M, and C data are set. I explained the case of correction.ClearlyIn this case, after the color correction data of the scanner unit of the partner machine is set by the masking
[0067]
In this case, by setting the masking data on the basis of the correction table of the partner device that is transmitted non-standardly from the transmission partner, the characteristics of the partner device can be obtained even if the reading unit or recording unit of the own device or the partner device is used. Therefore, it is possible to reproduce a color faithful to the original.
In addition, this departureClearlyIn this case, the correction table of the other party that is sent non-standardly from the transmission destination is registered in advance in the memory in correspondence with the telephone number of the other party, and the telephone number of the other party is received from the transmission destination at the time of reception. When receiving, the correction table of the partner machine corresponding to the telephone number of the partner machine is read from the memory, and the color correction data of the scanner unit of the partner machine is set by the masking
[0068]
In this case, by setting the masking data based on the correction table of the partner machine corresponding to the phone number of the partner machine, the characteristics of the partner machine can be corrected even using the reading unit or recording unit of the own machine or the partner machine. Therefore, it is possible to reproduce a color faithful to the original.
In each of the above-described embodiments, the case where the color recording is performed on the recording paper using the color ink has been described. However, the present invention is not limited to this, and the recording paper using the color thermal is used. You may comprise so that color recording may be carried out. The color ink here includes a color ink ribbon.
[0069]
【The invention's effect】
According to the present invention, there is an effect that the reproducibility of the color recorded on the recording paper can be improved by correcting the reproducibility of the color due to the bleeding of the ink recorded on the recording paper.
