本発明はフードガーニッシュ構造の改良に関する。

【従来の技術】
例えば、実開昭63−57179号公報「自動車のリッドガーニッシュの水抜き構造」の第1図に、リッドガーニッシュ3(符号は公報記載のものを使用。以下同じ)が示されていおり、このリッドガーニッシュ3はボンネット(リッド)1の後縁に取付けたものである。すなわち、金属板をプレス成形してなるボンネット(リッド)1に、フロントガラス2への連続性を求めるのは酷であるから、樹脂成形で自由に形状を決定したリッドガーニッシュ3を、ボンネット(リッド)1の後縁に後付けする構造が広く採用されている。

ところで、リッドガーニッシュ3は、炎天下では大きく熱膨張し、フェンダガーニッシュ4,4などに接触することがある。これを避けるために膨張代を大きく見込むと寒冷時にフェンダガーニッシュ4,4との間に大きな隙間が発生し、好ましくない。

図1は本発明に係るフードガーニッシュを備えた車両の前部の平面図であり、車両10のフード11の後縁に、中央で分割した左・右ガーニッシュ本体12L,12R(Lは運転者からみて左、Rは同右を示す。以下同じ)からなるフードガーニッシュ13を取付け、左右のフロントピラー14L,14Rに意匠的に連続させると共に、フロントガラスと称するウインドシールド15に意匠的に連続させた構成例を示す。
