この発明は使い捨てライターを収容するためのライターケースに関し、より詳細には炎を外風から遮る風防機能を有するライターケースに関する。

簡易な外装からなる、所謂「使い捨てライター」と呼ばれているライターが公知である。この種のライターは最低限の外装を有するのみなので、その体裁を高めるために、着火操作部及びノズルを上部に露出した状態でライターを筒状のケース内に収容するライターケースが従来提案されていた。

一方、最低限の外装しか有しない使い捨てライターにおいては、通常のライターのように風防を兼ねる蓋を有しないので、風が強い屋外での使用に支障を来す問題があった。そこで、この問題を解消するためにライターケースに風防機能を持たせた発明が提案されていた(実公平1−4107号)。

上記の従来技術のライターケースにおいては、筒状のケース内に金属製の風防部材を上下摺動自在に挿入し、ケースに風防部材の背部が露出する窓部を穿設することにより、使用者においてケースの窓部から露出した風防部材を親指の腹等により上下動する構成としていた。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
上記の従来技術は使い捨てライターの体裁を高めると共に風防機能を実現する点において画期的な発明であった。しかしながら、ケースの同一の筒内にケース内に固定すべきライターと上下に摺動すべき風防部材を混在させていたので、ケース及びライターのそれぞれの仕上がりの僅かなずれによりライター外側が風防部材に干渉して摺動が円滑に行えなくなる問題があった。又、風防部材が金属製のためにライターの炎により往々にして高温に加熱され、押し上げ及び押し下げ操作時に使用者が指を火傷する危険もあった。この場合、風防部材はライター外側とケース内周との限られた隙間に上下動自在に挿入される関係上、薄手に構成されなければならず強度及び耐燃性を考慮した場合、事実上金属以外に素材の選択の余地は無かった。一方、デザイン的な観点からは使用者の操作のためにケースの胴箇所に大きく開口した窓部の存在がデザインのバリエーションに制限を与える問題があった。

【課題を解決するための手段】
この発明は以上の従来技術の問題点を解消することを目的として創作されたものであり、着火操作部及びノズルを上部に露出した状態でライターを筒状のケース内に収容すべきライターケースにおいて、ケース外側の胴箇所にケースを胴回り方向に抱持すべき縦割り筒状の風防部材を上下動自在に外嵌することにより、上昇させた風防部材によりノズルからの炎の周囲の一部を覆うことを特徴とする。

【発明の実施の形態】
以下、この発明の具体的実施例を添付図面に基づいて説明する。図1乃至図5はこの発明のライターケースの一例を示す図であり、このうちの図1は全体の分解斜視図である。

図中符号1はライターケースの本体をなすケースである。このケース1はこの実施例においてはプラスチックにより成形されるものであり、下方に底を設けると共に上方に開口2を設けた筒状に構成され、ライターLは開口2からケース内に挿入・収容される(図2参照)。この場合、ライターLの挿入限度を規制するためにケース1内周にはライターの底が当接する当接部9が設けられ、一方、ライターLの着火操作部L1の操作を可能にするためにケースの開口2には着火操作部が露出すべき切り欠き3が設けられる。尚、この実施例においてはケース1に底を設けているが、ケースは筒状であればよく、底は必ずしも要件でないことは勿論である。

図中符号11は上昇時にライターLのノズルL2からの炎の周囲の一部を覆う風防部材であり、ケース1を胴回り方向に抱持すべき縦割り筒状に構成される。この風防部材11はケース1外側に上下動自在に外嵌されるが、この際に反抱持方向への抜け止め手段が必要となる。この実施例においては、風防部材11を復元性を有する素材により構成すると共に、胴回り方向の開口部12を胴箇所13より幅狭に絞り込み、これと対応してケース1外側の胴箇所にこの風防部材の内周形状に合致した断面を有する摺嵌部4を設けることによりケースに外嵌される風防部材の反抱持方向への抜け止め手段としている。風防部材11は不燃性を有することが望ましく、これにこの実施例で要請される復元性を加味した場合、素材として金属又は耐熱性に富んだプラスチックが想定される。尚、この実施例においては摺嵌部4はケース1の胴箇所に対して膨径部として構成されているが、逆に縮径部として構成されてもよいことは勿論である。又、抜け止め手段はこれに限らず、例えば風防部材11の内周及びケース1の胴箇所に上下方向に摺接すべき突起及び溝を設けてもよいことは勿論である。

上記の風防部材11は下降時にはケース1の全長内に納まり(図4の状態)、上昇時には頂部箇所がライターLのノズルL2からの炎の周囲の一部を覆うよう(図5の状態)長さ及びケース1への取り付け位置が設定される。この場合、取り付け位置は風防部材11のケース1への下降限度位置及び上昇限度位置として設定されることになる。この実施例においては、風防部材が上下摺動すべきケースの摺嵌部4の下端に風防部材の底部が当接すべき膨径段部5を設けることにより風防部材の下降限度を規制している。又、ケース1に対する風防部材11の上昇限度位置において係合すべき凸部14及び凹部6を風防部材11の内周及びケース1の外側に設けることにより上昇限度を規制している。この凸部14及び凹部6は同時に風防部材11が上昇位置において上下動しないようにケース1に対して仮固定する作用も果たすものであり、同様にこの実施例においては風防部材を下降位置において仮固定するために風防部材の下降限度位置においてその凸部14が係合すべき凹部7をケースの外側に設けている。尚、上記の凹部6及び7は風防部材11の凸部14がガイド摺動可能な浅溝8により連結されることにより、上昇位置及び下降位置において風防部材の凸部が確実に係合するようにしている。

尚、この実施例においては風防部材11は不燃性の素材により構成されることは前記した通りであるが、ここでは上昇時に炎を覆う頂部箇所の内周側に熱伝導の極端に少ない断熱部材15を設けることにより、風防部材の熱損傷と熱伝導による使用者の火傷を防止している。

【発明の効果】
以上の構成よりなるこの発明は次の特有の効果を奏する。
▲1▼風防部材はケースに外嵌されるので、従来技術における窓部が不要となり、又、厚みにも制限がないことも相まってデザイン上の自由度が高いライターケースが実現される。
▲2▼風防部材はケースに外嵌されるので、ケース内にライターと共に挿入した従来技術に比し厚みに制限がなく、素材として金属の他にプラスチックが使用可能となり、又、頂部箇所に断熱部材を設けることも可能となり使用者の火傷の危険が無くなる。
▲3▼風防部材はケースに外嵌されるので、加工及び組み立て上の精度はケースとの関係だけを考えればよく、ケース内に挿入されるライターが不確定要素として存在した従来技術に比し、風防部材が常に円滑に上下動するライターケースが実現される。
