Description
【0001】
【0070】

TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to an automatic stop / start technique for an internal combustion engine that automatically stops and starts an internal combustion engine mounted on an automobile or the like when a predetermined condition is satisfied.
[0002]
[Prior art]
In recent years, the operation of the internal combustion engine has been automatically stopped when the vehicle is stopped, such as when waiting for a traffic light, for the purpose of reducing the fuel consumption, exhaust emission, or noise of the internal combustion engine mounted on an automobile, etc. Development of an automatic stop / start device for automatically restarting the engine is underway.
[0003]
In such an automatic stop / start device, since the internal combustion engine is started by a starter motor that operates with electric power stored in a power storage device such as a battery, the automatic stop and automatic stop of the internal combustion engine are performed every time the vehicle stops and starts. When starting is repeated, the burden on auxiliary equipment such as the power storage device and the starter motor increases, and the deterioration or failure of those auxiliary equipment is induced, so that the internal combustion engine is reliably started at the time of restart after automatic stop. Is getting harder.
[0004]
In order to solve such a problem, an "automatic engine start / stop device" as described in JP-A-6-257483 has been proposed. This automatic start and stop device is used when the automatic stop condition is satisfied, and the accumulated value of the travel distance of the vehicle from the time of the immediately preceding automatic start to the time of the current automatic stop condition is satisfied, or the cumulative value of the travel time at a predetermined speed or more, Automatic stop control is permitted only when the engine speed exceeds the standard, and when the running distance or the cumulative running time is less than a predetermined standard, the automatic stop control is prohibited, thereby automatically stopping and starting the internal combustion engine. To prevent performance degradation due to insufficient charging of the power storage device, deterioration of the starter motor, and the like.
[0005]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
By the way, in the automatic start and stop device as described above, the automatic stop control is prohibited based on a certain standard regardless of the use frequency and use time of the power storage device and the starter motor. When the use time is short and there is almost no performance deterioration, the automatic stop control is uselessly prohibited and the fuel consumption rate is deteriorated, or when the power storage device and starter motor are used frequently and the usage time is long and the performance is significantly reduced In addition, there is a possibility that the prohibition of the automatic stop control becomes insufficient and the engine cannot be started.
[0006]
The present invention has been made in view of the above-described problems, and in an apparatus that performs automatic stop control and automatic start control of an internal combustion engine under predetermined conditions, an automatic start such as a power storage device or a starter motor is used. It is an object of the present invention to provide a technique for prohibiting automatic stop control according to the frequency of use of such auxiliary devices, thereby preventing deterioration of a fuel consumption rate and preventing an internal combustion engine from being unable to restart. .
[0007]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
The present invention employs the following means in order to solve the above problems. That is, the automatic stop / start device for an internal combustion engine according to the present invention automatically stops the internal combustion engine when the automatic stop condition is satisfied, and automatically stops and starts the internal combustion engine when the automatic start condition is satisfied. ,
When the automatic stop condition is satisfied, an automatic stop prohibition unit that prohibits the automatic stop control by the automatic stop / start unit when a predetermined automatic stop prohibition condition is satisfied,
Prohibition condition changing means for changing the automatic stop prohibition condition according to the use history of the element related to the start of the internal combustion engine,
It is characterized by having.
[0008]
In the automatic stop / start device for an internal combustion engine configured as described above, when the automatic stop condition of the internal combustion engine is satisfied, the automatic stop prohibition unit determines whether the automatic stop prohibition condition is satisfied.
[0009]
When the automatic stop prohibition condition is not satisfied, the automatic stop prohibition unit permits the automatic stop / start unit to execute the automatic stop control of the internal combustion engine. The automatic stop / start means having received the permission to execute the automatic stop control automatically stops the operation of the internal combustion engine.
[0010]
When the automatic stop prohibition condition is satisfied, the automatic stop prohibition unit prohibits the automatic stop / start unit from executing the automatic stop control of the internal combustion engine. The automatic stop / start means that has been prohibited from executing the automatic stop control does not stop the operation of the internal combustion engine.
[0011]
Further, the automatic prohibition condition changing means changes the automatic stop prohibition condition according to the use history of the element related to the start of the internal combustion engine. For example, the automatic stop prohibition condition changing means may automatically reduce the prohibition area of the automatic stop control (enlarge the execution area of the automatic stop control) when the use frequency and the use time of the element related to the start of the internal combustion engine are small. The stop prohibition condition is changed, and the auto stop prohibition condition is changed so that the prohibition area of the auto stop control is expanded (the execution area of the auto stop control is reduced) when the use frequency or use time of the element related to the start is large.
[0012]
In this case, if the use frequency and use time of the element related to the start of the internal combustion engine are small and the performance deterioration of the element related to the start is small, the execution area of the automatic stop control is expanded. There is no case where the automatic stop control is prohibited when the vehicle is in a startable state.
[0013]
On the other hand, if the frequency and use time of the elements related to the start of the internal combustion engine are large, and if the performance of the elements related to the start is greatly reduced, the execution area of the automatic stop control is reduced, and the elements related to the start of the internal combustion engine start. Execution of the automatic stop control is not permitted when the state is impossible.
[0014]
The elements related to the start of the internal combustion engine here include, for example, a starter motor that cranks the internal combustion engine, a power storage device that supplies drive power to the starter motor, or an alternator that generates power to be stored in the power storage device And so on.
[0015]

【The invention's effect】
In the internal combustion engine automatic stop / start device according to the present invention, the automatic stop prohibition condition is changed according to the usage history of the internal combustion engine start-up element, and thus the use frequency and use time of the internal combustion engine start-up element are used. If the performance of the elements related to the start is small and the performance degradation of the elements related to the start is small, the execution range of the automatic stop control is expanded, and the automatic stop control may be prohibited when the elements related to the start are in a state where the internal combustion engine can be started. Disappears.
[0069]
On the other hand, if the frequency and time of use of the elements related to the start of the internal combustion engine are large and the performance of the elements related to the start is greatly reduced, the execution area of the automatic stop control is reduced, and the elements related to the start cannot start the internal combustion engine In such a state, execution of the automatic stop control is not permitted.
[0070]
Therefore, according to the automatic stop / start device for an internal combustion engine according to the present invention, it is possible to prohibit the automatic stop control according to the frequency of use of auxiliary devices related to the automatic start of the power storage device and the starter motor, etc. The automatic stop control is no longer prohibited, and the automatic stop control is not performed when the internal combustion engine is in a state where it cannot be started, thereby preventing the fuel consumption rate of the internal combustion engine from deteriorating. In addition, it is possible to prevent the internal combustion engine from being unable to restart.
