図3に示した従来の蒸し器は、ケース1に複数の棚2を設けるとともに、一の側面には図示していない扉を設け、この扉から棚や中華まんじゅうを出し入れできるようにしている。
そして、上記ケース1の底部中央には、蒸気発生手段3を設けているが、この蒸気発生手段3は、タンク4に電熱体5を接触させてなるものである。
なお、図中符号6は、蒸気発生手段3に対するフタ板である。

上記のようにした従来の蒸し器では、蒸気発生手段3からの蒸気が、最下段の棚2の食品に直接当たってしまう。特に、最下段の棚2の中央にある食品、つまり、蒸気発生手段3の真上にある食品には、それこそ大量の蒸気が集中的に当たってしまう。
このように大量の蒸気が集中的に当たる部分においては、中華まんじゅう等の食品がベチャベチャになってしまって、その商品価値が極端に落ちてしまうという問題があった。

特に、商品の回転が遅くなって、長時間ケース1内に食品を入れておく場合には、それこそ商品にならないくらいベチャベチャになってしまうこともあった。
このような理由から、このタイプの蒸し器を使用しているお店などでは、最下段の棚2には食品を載せないようにするなどの自衛手段を講じているというのが現状であった。

【発明の実施の形態】
図1および図2に示した実施の形態は、ケース1に複数の棚2を設けるとともに、一の側面には図示していない扉を設け、この扉から棚や中華まんじゅうを出し入れできるようにしている。

このようにした蒸気分散板7は、棚2とほぼ同じ大きさにするとともに、その全面に蒸気通過穴9を形成している。
なお、上記棚2は、ケース1の幅よりも少し小さくして、棚2とケース1との間に間隔Lが形成されるようにしている。
