FIG. 6 shows a comparison between the ventilation resistance (solid line) of the heat exchanger of the present embodiment and the ventilation resistance of the conventional heat exchanger (dashed line). The resistance (Pa) is shown.
[0027]
As is clear from the figure, in the heat exchanger of the present embodiment, since the increase of the ventilation resistance at the time of frost formation is suppressed, the ventilation resistance at the same operation time and the same capacity can be reduced.
It is considered that the larger the size of the width ΔL of the

Here, the ventilation resistance is the value at the time of non-frost formation. It can be seen from the figure that the range in which the ventilation resistance is reduced while maintaining the heat transfer coefficient, that is, the range in which the heat transfer coefficient / ventilation resistance is maximized, is in the range of 0.5 ≧ L / ΔL ≧ 0.2. Therefore, in order to reduce the ventilation resistance at the time of frosting and to improve the heat transfer performance at the time of non-frosting, the above range is desirable.

FIG. 8 is a diagram showing the relationship between (ΔL / dc) and the heat transfer coefficient / ventilation resistance. Similarly, the ventilation resistance here is that when no frost is formed. The range in which the ventilation resistance is reduced while maintaining the heat transfer coefficient, that is, the range in which the heat transfer coefficient / ventilation resistance is maximized, is 1 ≧ ΔL / dc ≧ 1 /. Therefore, in order to reduce the ventilation resistance at the time of frosting and to improve the heat transfer performance at the time of non-frosting, the above range is desirable.

In this embodiment, since the
As described above, according to the heat exchanger of this embodiment, the ventilation resistance during frost formation is reduced while maintaining the heat transfer performance, that is, the heat transfer coefficient.

FIG. 13 shows a change in the heating capacity (W) with the elapse of the operation time of the air conditioner. The broken line in the figure indicates the heating capacity of the conventional air conditioner, and the solid line indicates the heating capacity of the air conditioner of the present embodiment. The conventional air conditioner differs from the configuration of the present embodiment in that the heat exchanger has a conventional structure and that the electric motor is an AC motor, but the other configurations are the same.
[0039]
In the conventional air conditioner, the ventilation resistance of the heat exchanger due to frost formation is large as described above. In general, an AC motor has a larger decrease in airflow due to an increase in ventilation resistance than a DC motor. Therefore, the air volume of the air conditioner is also significantly reduced, and the heating capacity is significantly reduced. However, by using the
[0040]
As described above, according to the air conditioner of the present embodiment, as compared with the conventional air conditioner, the heating operation time becomes longer due to the provision of the heat exchanger with reduced frost formation and reduced ventilation resistance. Thus, there is an effect that the heating capacity can be increased and the input power can be reduced to save energy.
[0041]
【The invention's effect】
According to the present invention as described above, the ventilation resistance during frost formation is reduced while maintaining the heat transfer coefficient of the heat exchanger.
Further, according to the present invention, even if frost is formed on the slit of the heat exchanger, an increase in ventilation resistance is suppressed.
Further, according to the present invention, particularly, the ventilation resistance of the heat exchanger in the heating operation is reduced, and the heating capacity of the air conditioner is increased and energy saving is realized.
