本発明は、電動機のステータ構造に関し、特に電磁鋼板のコアを積層して形成する積層ステータに関する。

【従来の技術】
一般に、電動機は抵抗損や鉄損等の種々のエネルギー損によって発熱する。この発熱は電動機の能力を決定する要因の1つであり、電動機の連続出力は発熱と放熱能力とのバランスによって決定される。従って、ステータ表面等の電動機の放熱面積を拡大し、放熱効率を向上させることによって、電動機の出力を増大することができる。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
従来の積層ステータでは、放熱面積が小さく、放熱効率が低いという問題点がある。この小さな放熱面積および低い放熱効率は、電動機の連続出力を制限することにもある。
従来の積層ステータでは、例えば上記した構成の積層ステータ22では、同一形状で同一寸法のコア22を積層して形成しているため、積層ステータの外周表面や冷却媒体通路の表面は、図9(c)の断面に示すように平面状となる。なお、該図9(c)の断面は、図9(b)中の矢印で示す部分の断面を示している。そのため、積層ステータ22の放熱面積は限定されたものとなり、充分な放熱効率を得ることができない。

上記した構成の積層ステータの放熱面積を拡大し放熱効率を向上させるために、コアの外周表面の面積を拡大する構成の積層ステータが提案されている。図10は、積層ステータの他の一構成例を示す図である。図10において、積層ステータ41を構成する各コア42には、前記図9に示した積層ステータ21のコアと同様に、ロッド用の孔51,冷却媒体通路用の孔52,ロータ用の穴53,コイル巻回用の溝54が形成される。積層ステータ41は、この構成に加えて、さらに各コア42の外周の周方向に凹凸55が形成されている。このコア42に形成した凹凸55は積層ステータ42の表面積を拡大するものであり、図10(b)に示すように、積層ステータ42の外周面を凹凸形状とすることによって、表面積を拡大している。なお、図9(c)は、図9(b)中の矢印で示す部分の断面を示している。
