本発明は段ボール製函機等において、印刷部へ設備する印刷部のシート搬送装置に関するものである。

【従来の技術】
一般的な段ボールシート用製函機は、図5に示すように給紙部14、印刷部15、排紙部16及び図示省略のダイカット部、糊付部、フォルディング部、カウンタエゼクタ部等によって構成されている。給紙部14は、給紙テーブル上へ積重させた段ボールシート3をキッカー、あるいはリードエッジ方式等によるフィーダ(送り出し手段)を介して、最下層シートより1枚ずつ下流へ搬出する装置である。また、印刷部15は給紙部14から搬送された、段ボールシート3に対して所定の印刷を施す。

このように、複数台の印刷ユニットPを並設し、各印刷ユニットP部へ色の異なるインキを供給すれば、段ボールシート3に対し多色印刷が可能となる。また、色数の少ない印刷を行う場合では、稼働しない印刷ユニットPの版胴1を上昇待機させ、現行オーダーの印刷稼働と並行し、次オーダーの設定、例えば刷版の差替交換やインキ交換等の前準備をしておくことが可能となる。

一般的な段ボール製函機は、このように構成され、テーブル上へ積重させたシート3は、図6に示すように給紙部14から1枚ずつ送り出された後、フィードロール19a,19bへ引き渡される。フィードロール19a,19bでは、シート3が挾持回転によって、第1次印刷ユニットPaへ送り込まれ、下方受けロール(圧胴)2と版胴1へ捲着した刷版の間を通過することによって、印刷が施される。その後、シート3は受けロール2と版胴1の挾持回転を介し、次のフィードロール19a,19bへ引き渡され、下流側の第2次印刷部Pbへ送り込まれる。

以後、同様にシート搬送が行われ、目的とする印刷が完了する。このように段ボールシート3へ印刷する種々の加工を施すに当って、シート3の移送状態、つまり各工程への搬入タイミングの安定化、確実化が高品質の段ボール箱の形成において最も重要な要素となる。
しかし、非稼働中の印刷ユニットPにおいて、次オーダーの前準備、例えば刷版の差替交換をする場合、印刷シリンダ(版胴)1を上昇させた状態で作業を行うため、印刷部では版胴1と受けロール2の間に挾持力が発生しない。したがって、短かいシート3がフィードロール19a,19bに挾持されない場合があり、シート3と受けロール2との間にスリップが発生し、正確なシート移送ができなくなる。
また、上側フィードロール19aにて印刷面が汚れるといった問題もあった。

上記不具合点に対処すべく、図7のA及びBに例示したシート移送装置が提案されている。本移送装置は、段ボール製函機において、複数台の印刷ユニットPをシート進行方向に沿って一直線上に配置している。そして、各印刷ユニットP間に、シート3を挾持して移送する下部送りベルトコンベア装置20と、上部送りベルトコンベア装置21とを配設している。
また、上部送りベルトコンベア装置21は、シート移送方向の前側と後側へ一対のベルトコンベア21a,21bを備えている。これらのベルトコンベア21a,21bは、図中一点鎖線に示すように、それぞれ上流側及び下流側に位置する印刷ユニットの印刷シリンダ(版胴)1側へ進出した位置へ移動可能に構成されている。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
次に、上記のシート移送装置の問題点について説明する。
順次、シート移送装置に給送されてくる段ボールシート3の表面に施された印刷面のインキを乾燥させるには、ある程度の時間経過が必要である。運転速度(シートの移送速度)を速くした場合、これまでのような自然乾燥ではインキの乾燥が追い付かず、シート移送装置の上部送りベルトコンベア装置21部に、印刷直後の未乾燥インキが付着する。そして、付着したインキが後続する段ボールシート3の印刷面へ転移するため、これが汚れの原因となっている。
したがって、製品品質が著しく低下する。あるいは、上記不具合を解消させるため、装置の運転速度を遅くせざるを得なかった。また、構造上ベルトコンベア21a,21bの斜行修正や、下部送りベルトコンベア装置20との隙間調整及び作動機構部の調整が困難で、保守点検、修理等が難かしいといった問題もあった。

本発明は上記課題に鑑みてなされたもので、印刷シリンダ(版胴)が受けロール(圧胴)に対し接離できる形式の印刷ユニットにおいて、従来の印刷ユニットよりも構造が簡単になり、シート搬送装置の保守点検、修理、調整を容易にすることができ、印刷速度も速く、印刷汚れのない印刷部のシート搬送装置を提供することを目的とする。

【課題を解決するための手段】
本発明は、上記目的を達成するために、版胴が圧胴に対し接離できる形式の印刷ユニットにおいて、圧胴のシート進行方向の少なくとも前部又は後部のいずれかに、シートを吸引する手段を設けたものであって、該シートを吸引する手段として、圧胴に並設されたシート搬送用ベルトコンベアと圧胴との間に、圧胴の軸方向にかつ圧胴の外周面に臨んでシートガイド板を設け、これら圧胴の外周面とシートガイド板との間に形成された密閉スリットに、上記シートを吸引するための空気吸入装置を接続したことを特徴とする。
本発明の好ましい実施態様は、印刷シリンダ(版胴)が受けロール(圧胴)に対し上下(接離)できる形式の印刷ユニットにおいて、シート進行方向受けロールの前後へシートを吸引する手段を設けたもので、上記シート吸引手段としてシートパスラインの下方に位置して受けロールとシート搬送用ベルトコンベアの中間へシートガイド板を配置させ、受けロール外周面とシートガイド板の間へロール軸方向に沿ったスリットを形成し、該スリット溝から外部空気を吸入する。
また、本発明は上記目的を達成するために、版胴が圧胴に対し接離できる形式の印刷ユニットにおいて、圧胴のシート進行方向の少なくとも前部又は後部のいずれかに、シートを吸引する手段を設けたものであって、該シートを吸引する手段として、圧胴に並設されたシート搬送用ベルトコンベアのプーリの側部に、上記シートの移送面である天板部を、圧胴の外周面に臨ませたサクションボックスを設け、該サクションボックスに、空気を吸引するための空気吸入装置を接続するとともに、上記天板部にシートを吸引するための吸引口を形成したことを特徴とする。
本発明の好ましい実施態様は、印刷シリンダ(版胴)が受けロール(圧胴)に対し上下(接離)できる形式の印刷ユニットにおいて、シート進行方向受けロールの前後へシートを吸引する手段を設けたもので、上記シート吸引手段としてシートパスラインの下方、隣り合うシート搬送用ベルトコンベアのプーリ間に位置し、天板部を受けロール側へ延長して接近させたサクションボックスを設け、上記天板部に形成した孔(又はスリット)から外部空気を吸入する。
また、本発明は上記目的を達成するために、版胴が圧胴に対し接離できる形式の印刷ユニットにおいて、圧胴の外周面に、該圧胴の表面部材よりも摩擦係数が大きく、かつ耐摩耗性の高い部材をコーティングあるいは捲着させてなり、シートが圧胴との摩擦抵抗により、効率よく印刷ユニット内を搬送させるようにしたことを特徴とする。
本発明の好ましい実施態様は、印刷シリンダ(版胴)が受けロール(圧胴)に対し上下(接離)できる形式の印刷ユニットにおいて、受けロール外周面の機能向上対策を設けたもので、上記対策(手段)として受けロールの外周面へ摩擦係数が大きく、かつ耐摩耗性の高い部材(例えばカーボンやチタン等をコーティングする、あるいはゴム材等)を捲着させる。

【発明の実施の形態】
以下、本発明の第1の実施の形態による印刷部のシート搬送装置について、図面を参照しながら説明する。
本実施の形態は、従来例で説明した印刷シリンダ(版胴)1が、受けロール(圧胴)2に対し上下(接離)できる形式の印刷ユニットPにおいて、印刷シリンダ1が上昇位置にある状態でも、短いシート3の移送が確実に行えるように、上記受けロール2の前後へ、シート3を吸引する手段を設けている。

シート搬送装置は、受けロール2とシート搬送用サクションコンベア4の中間に、それぞれシートガイド板5a,5bを配置し、該シートガイド板5a,5bを天板としたサクションボックス6を設けている。サクションボックス6の底板7部は管継手8、配管9を介して真空ポンプ、あるいは吸引ブロア10等の空気吸引手段へ連結されている。シートガイド板5a,5bは受けロール2に対し、僅かな隙間Sを設けて受けロール2の軸方向に並設させ、ガイド板5の上側面は受けロール2表面の最高高さに対してわずかに低く配置させてある。

本発明の第1の実施の形態は、上記のように構成されたもので、吸引ブロア10を作動させると、サクションボックス6の内部が負圧になる。よって、受けロール2の外周面と、シートガイド板5a及び5bのスリット(隙間)から、外部の空気を吸入させることができる。
したがって、空気吸入によって受けロール2上側を走行する段ボールシート3を、下方へ引き付けることが可能である。これによって、シート3と受けロール2、及びシート3と受けロール2の前後に位置するシート搬送用サクションコンベア4,4との接触抵抗が増大でき、シート3の安定的な移送ができるようになった。

本発明は上記のように構成したもので、
(1) シート3を搬送用のサクションコンベア4から、次のサクションコンベア4に移送するシートパスラインの上側に、シート3を押圧する部品が不要となり、印刷直後の未乾燥インキが転移付着し、後続する段ボールシート3の印刷面を汚すといった不具合がなくなる。
(2) シートパスラインの上側ヘ、従来のようなフィードロールや上部送りベルトコンベア装置を配設しないため、オーダーチェンジに伴うシートの厚さ変動に対し、隙間調整等の作業が不要になる。
(3) 回転駆動部その他の構成部において構造が簡単なため、保守点検、修理が容易となり、それに関連して故障も少なくなる。
(4) 印刷速度を上げられるため、生産性の向上が図れる等の種々の効果が得られるようになった。

次に、本発明の第2の実施の形態について説明する。
本実施の形態は、従来で説明した印刷シリンダ(版胴)1が、受けロール2に対し上下(接離)できる形式の印刷ユニットPにおいて、印刷シリンダ1が上昇位置にある状態でも短いシート3の移送が確実に行えるように、受けロール2の前後へシート3を吸引する手段を設けてある。
図2のA、B及び図3に示すシート搬送装置は、横幅方向に並設したシート搬送用サクションコンベア4のプーリ22の中間へ、サクションボックス23を配置している。サクションボックス23は、複数個の吸気孔11あるいはスリットを穿設した天板12部を設けるとともに、シート搬送用サクションコンベア4のサクションボックス4aを延長させて、受けロール2側へ接近させた構造となっている。
そして、図3に示すように、サクションボックス4aは、天板のサクションベルト4bの穴4cに対応する位置にスリット4dを設け、これらのスリット4d及びサクションベルト4bの穴4cを介して、シート3を吸引する構造になっている。
図2のBでは、サクションボックス23の底板7部は管継手8、配管9を介して真空ポンプ、あるいは吸引ブロア10等の空気吸引手段へ連結させている。しかし、図3に示すサクションボックス23を搬送用サクションコンベア4の真空ボックス4aに連通して真空とすることもできる。
サクションボックス6の天板12部の上側面は、受けロール2表面の最高高さに対してわずかに低く設定させてある。

本発明の第2の実施の形態は、上記のように構成されているので、吸引ブロア10を作動させると、サクションボックス23の内部が負圧になり、天板12部に形成した吸気孔11から外部の空気を吸入することができる。
このため、空気吸入によって受けロール2上側を走行する段ボールシート3を、下方へ引き付けることが可能である。これによって、シート3と受けロール2、及びシート3と受けロール2の前後において、サクションボックス23に隣接するシート搬送用サクションコンベア4,4との接触力が増大でき、シート3の安定的な移送ができるようになった。
本実施の形態も第1の実施の形態と同様に、移送するシート3を下方へ吸引し、シートパスラインの下側に設けた受けロール2、シート搬送用サクションコンベア4,4に対するシート3の接触力を、増大させるよう構成したものである。すなわち、摩擦力F=μ・R(μは摩擦係数)において、直圧力Rを大きくさせた装置である。したがって、上記第1の実施の形態において説明したものと同様な、種々効果を得ることができる。

次に、本発明の第3の実施の形態について説明する。
本実施の形態は、上記第1の実施の形態及び第2の実施の形態に示すシート搬送装置の印刷ユニットPにおいて、シート3を安定的に移送する手段として受けロール2部の機能向上対策を提案するものである。
シート搬送装置は、図4のA及びBに示すように、移送するシート3と受けロール2との摩擦力Fを増大すべく、受けロール2の外周面へ摩擦係数μが大きく、かつ耐摩耗性の高い表層部材13、例えばカーボンやチタン等をコーティング、あるいはゴム等を捲着させた構造となっている。
すなわち、本実施の形態では、摩擦力F=μ・R(Rは直圧力)において、摩擦係数μを大きくさせている。
本発明に係る印刷部のシート搬送装置は、上記構造の応用実施例として図4のA及びBに例示したように、上記第1の実施の形態に示す構成の一部、あるいは総べてを適宜組み合せることも可能である。また、第2の実施の形態に示すシート搬送装置と、組み合わせることも可能である。
さらに、シート搬送装置の形状は、上記第1及び第2の実施の形態の形状以外のものと組み合わせることができ、例示した以外にも種々の構造が考えられる。
また、第1の実施の形態及び第2の実施の形態は、受けロール2の前側、後側の一側にのみに吸引手段を設けても機能させることができる。(図示省略)

上記構成のもと、シート重量によって決定される直圧力Rを一定とした場合、摩擦係数μが大きくなることによって摩擦力Fが増大する。よって、受けロール2等の移送手段に対するシート3のスリップ量を、減少させることができ、安定、かつ確実なシート移送が可能となる。
また、本実施の形態では上記シートの直圧力Rを増大させる第1及び第2実施の形態と併用(組み合せ)することによって、より大きな効果を得ることができる。
なお、本発明は上記した第1の実施の形態〜第3の実施の形態を適宜組み合わせて構成することによって、スリップ量が更に減少できるため、より安定、かつ正確なシート移送ができ、これらによって製品品質を向上させ得ると共に機械(印刷)速度を速くでき、生産性の向上が図れるようになった。

以上、本発明の実施の形態について説明したが、勿論、本発明はこれらに限定されることなく、本発明の技術的思想に基いて種々の変形が可能である。
例えば、上記実施の形態では、印刷物に段ボールを例にあげて説明したが、普通のシートなどにも適用することができる。
また、プーリ22の軸は、サクションボックス23を貫通する一体の軸24に固定するようにしているが、それぞれ、サクションボックス4aの前端面から各々軸受けを設け、プーリを分割してこれを個々に支持してもよい。

【発明の効果】
以上述べたように、本発明は、圧胴の外周面とシートガイド板との間に形成されたスリットから空気を吸引、又は圧胴の外周面に天板部を臨ませたサクションボックスを設けた構成によって、吸引口から空気を吸引できるようにしたので、従来の印刷ユニットよりも構造が簡単になり、シート搬送装置の保守点検、修理、調整が容易になった。加えて、印刷速度を上げることができ、印刷効率の向上を図ることができる。
また、圧胴の外周面に、摩擦係数が大きく、かつ耐摩耗性の高い部材をコーティングあるいは捲着させた構成によって、シートが圧胴により搬送されるときに、スリップが減少され、確実なシートの移送ができる。
