Description
【0001】
低圧電池の端子電圧は例えば24V(大型車両の標準)または12V(小型車両の標準)である。
【0003】

TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
INDUSTRIAL APPLICABILITY The present invention is applied to an electric vehicle or a hybrid vehicle that runs using both an internal combustion engine and a motor generator. INDUSTRIAL APPLICABILITY The present invention is applied to an automobile having both a high-voltage battery that charges and holds electric energy for traveling and a low-voltage battery that supplies operating current to various devices mounted on the vehicle. The present invention relates to a cooling device for a high-voltage battery that stores electric energy generated when a motor generator operates as a generator and supplies electric energy when the motor generator operates as a motor.
[0002]
[Prior art]
An electric vehicle or a hybrid vehicle is equipped with a high-voltage battery as a DC power supply to be supplied to a running motor (or motor generator). The rated terminal voltage of the high-voltage battery is, for example, 300V. On the other hand, an electric vehicle or a hybrid vehicle is equipped with a low-voltage battery, in addition to the high-voltage battery, for supplying various lamps, various control circuits such as a computer, audio equipment, a cooling / heating device, and the like. The terminal voltage of the low-voltage battery is, for example, 24 V (standard for large vehicles) or 12 V (standard for small vehicles).
[0003]
The high-voltage battery is mounted in a housing attached to a vehicle because of the danger of electric shock when a human body touches the circuit during maintenance work or the like. Further, since the high-voltage battery generates heat during charging and discharging, a cooling device for blowing air from an electric cooling fan has been provided in its housing. The power supply current for the cooling fan and its control circuit is supplied from a low-voltage battery mounted on the vehicle in principle. Alternatively, JP-A-4-312304 describes a circuit for driving a cooling fan of a high-voltage battery by dividing the voltage by a resistance circuit from a high-voltage power supply for charging the high-voltage battery.
[0004]
Further, the high-voltage circuit supplied from the high-voltage battery is connected to the inverter and the motor generator, and the common potential of the high-voltage circuit (often negative) is the common potential of the low-voltage circuit supplied from the low-voltage battery (many (See, for example, Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 7-177675). This is because there is a danger that a tool or a human body may touch the high-voltage circuit accidentally during inspection work of the vehicle, etc., so that the common potential of the high-voltage circuit is not connected to the chassis of the vehicle, etc. It is something to keep. By setting the high-voltage circuit to the floating potential in this way, even if a tool or a human body touches the high-voltage circuit, the ground return path is cut off and a large current does not flow directly.
[0005]
In such electric vehicles or hybrid vehicles, it is often necessary to charge a high-voltage battery holding electric energy for traveling with an external power supply. That is, whether the vehicle is equipped with a charging generator and driven by the internal combustion engine, or when the vehicle is braked to generate electricity using electric braking, the charging energy of the high-voltage battery is consumed and insufficient during traveling. become. When the charge amount of the high-voltage battery decreases, a cable is connected to a vehicle electrical terminal from a charging device provided at a vehicle depot or the like, and facilities are provided so that the high-voltage battery can be charged through the cable. I have.
[0006]
A charging device for charging such a high-voltage battery sold so far includes a charging power source for a high-voltage battery (for example, a rated voltage of 300 V) and a charging power source for a low-voltage battery (for example, a rated voltage of 24 V). If necessary, the low-voltage battery can be charged at the same time. In such a device, a plug is provided at the end of a charging cable, and this plug is connected to a receptacle provided as an electric terminal on the vehicle side. The plug has a three-terminal structure as a standard, and the common potential of the high-voltage power supply (for example, the minus side) and the common potential of the low-voltage power supply (for example, the minus side) are commonly connected.
[0007]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
As described above, the high-voltage battery also generates heat when charging the high-voltage battery of the stopped vehicle from the external charging device. When the high-voltage battery is mounted on the housing, the high-voltage battery has a high temperature, so it is necessary to drive a cooling fan to blow air into the housing. However, when charging the high-voltage battery, the vehicle is stopped and its electric circuit, especially the low-voltage circuit, is often in a state in which the battery power is off, and the cooling fan cannot be driven using the low-voltage battery of the vehicle as a power supply. If the cooling fan is driven by using the low-voltage battery of the vehicle while the high-voltage battery is being charged, the charging energy of the low-voltage battery will be consumed. For example, the procedure for charging a high-voltage battery is generally performed from the end of work in the evening until the start of the next morning, and it is not desirable to use the current of the low-voltage battery during this time to drive a cooling fan. .
[0008]
In a vehicle having a structure in which the common potential (minus side) of the high-voltage circuit and the common potential (minus side) of the low-voltage circuit are separated as described above, an external charging device is connected to a terminal of a high-voltage battery of the vehicle via a cable. , The common potential (negative side) of the low voltage circuit of the vehicle is not connected, and the low voltage power supply of the charging device cannot be used on the vehicle side. In a vehicle having a structure in which the common potential of the two power supplies is separated as described above, when simultaneously using the high-voltage power supply and the low-voltage power supply supplied from the external charging device, an operation switch that connects the two common potentials by operation is provided. It is conceivable to provide this switch on the vehicle, but if you forget to operate such an operation switch at the start of charging, charging will be performed without the cooling fan operating, and if you forget to operate at the end of charging, the two power supplies will be shared. It loses meaning such as avoiding certain dangers by separating potentials.
[0009]
The present invention has been made in such a background, and even when a high-voltage battery is charged from an external charging device, a cooling fan that blows air into a housing in which the battery is disposed is continuously driven for a long time. It is an object of the present invention to provide a device capable of performing the following. The present invention is also applicable to a vehicle in which a common potential of a high-voltage circuit and a common potential of a low-voltage circuit are separated from each other, when an external charging device is connected, without automatically performing a switch operation or the like. It is an object of the present invention to provide a device to which a common potential of each of a high-voltage circuit and a low-voltage circuit is connected so that a high-voltage power supply and a low-voltage power supply supplied from a charging device can be simultaneously used on a vehicle side. According to the present invention, even when the charging of the high-voltage battery is completed and the connection with the charging device is disconnected, the common potential of the high-voltage circuit and the common potential of the low-voltage circuit are automatically disconnected without performing a special switch operation. It is intended to provide a device to be used.
[0010]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
The present invention uses a low-voltage power supply supplied from the charging device while charging a high-voltage battery of a vehicle when a charging device having both a high-voltage power supply and a low-voltage power supply is connected to a vehicle power supply. A circuit for driving a cooling fan of the battery is provided. Further, in a vehicle in which the common potential of the high-voltage circuit and the low-voltage circuit is separated, when the external charging device is connected, the two common potentials are connected in conjunction with each other, and the current of the low-voltage power supply supplied from the external charging device is simultaneously transmitted. It is characterized in that it can be used.
[0011]
That is, the present invention includes a high-voltage battery (1) mounted in a housing (3) mounted on a vehicle, and a low-voltage battery (2) mounted on the vehicle, and a circuit of the low-voltage battery (2). A cooling device (5) having both a high-voltage power supply and a low-voltage power supply, the cooling device being provided with a cooling fan (4) for blowing air into the housing (3). A circuit (6) for supplying the cooling fan (4) from the low-voltage power supply of the charging device (5) in conjunction therewith when 1) is connected to the high-voltage power supply of the charging device (5). I do.
[0012]
The charging device (5) and the batteries (1, 2) mounted on the vehicle are connected via one plug (7) and a receptacle (8) having both a high-voltage circuit and a low-voltage circuit. Thus, the connection of the high voltage circuit and the connection of the low voltage circuit can be linked.
[0013]
The numerals in the parentheses are reference numerals for the drawings of the embodiments described later. The reference numerals are provided to facilitate understanding of the configuration of the present invention, and are not intended to limit the configuration of the present invention to the embodiments. The same applies to the following description.
[0014]
With this configuration, it is possible to continuously drive the cooling fan for cooling the high-voltage battery over a period in which the high-voltage battery is charged. Even if the cooling fan is driven for a long time, the low-voltage battery of the vehicle is not consumed. With this configuration, the low-voltage power supply output of the charging device is connected to the cooling fan in conjunction with one operation of connecting the high-voltage power supply to the vehicle.
[0015]
The circuit (6) for connecting the cooling fan to the low-voltage power supply of the charging device may include a backflow prevention diode (9) for preventing the output current of the low-voltage battery from flowing into the charging device. .
[0016]
Further, the electric wiring on the vehicle side may be configured such that the common potential of the high voltage circuit to which the device using the high voltage battery (1) is connected and the common potential of the low voltage circuit to which the device using the low voltage battery (2) is connected. When the low voltage battery (2) is separated from the low voltage circuit by the switching circuit (10) or the like when the configuration is separated, the common potential of the high voltage circuit is connected to the common potential of the low voltage circuit. The relay circuit (11) may be provided.
[0017]
Similarly, the electric wiring on the vehicle side has a common potential of the high voltage circuit to which the device using the high voltage battery (1) is connected and a common potential of the low voltage circuit to which the device using the low voltage battery (2) is connected. When the configuration is separated, a relay circuit (12) for connecting a common potential of the high-voltage circuit to a common potential of the low-voltage circuit while the plug (7) and the receptacle (8) are connected is provided. Configuration.
[0018]
With this configuration, the operation of connecting the plug of the charging device for charging the high-voltage battery to the receptacle on the vehicle side automatically connects the two common potentials on the vehicle side, and the low-voltage power supplied from the charging device is connected to the vehicle. Will be available on the side. In addition, the connection of the two common potentials on the vehicle side is automatically separated by the operation of disconnecting the plug of the charging device from the receptacle, so any special operation is required to connect and disconnect the common potential on the vehicle side. There is no problem that causes problems such as forgetting operation after charging is completed.

(First embodiment)
FIG. 1 is a main part electric circuit diagram of the first embodiment of the present invention. The circuit on the right side of the figure is a vehicle-side circuit. This vehicle is equipped with a high-voltage battery 1 having a rated voltage of 300 V for holding electric energy for traveling and a low-
[0020]
The high-voltage battery 1 is repeatedly discharged and charged by running the vehicle, but may be discharged gradually depending on the operation state. In this case, it is necessary to perform supplementary charging when the vehicle is not used from outside. . For example, in an operation mode in which this vehicle is used for a city bus, the charging state is maintained by slowly charging the vehicle depot for a long time using the time when the vehicle is not operating at night. Is done. Prolonged gentle charging prolongs the life of the high-voltage battery. Even during such long-time charging, the temperature of the high-voltage battery 1 rises, so that the cooling fan 4 must be continuously driven and rotated to perform cooling.

【The invention's effect】
According to the device of the present invention, even when a high-voltage battery is charged for a long time using an external charging device, the cooling fan that blows air into the housing in which the battery is disposed can be continuously driven over the charging time. . Further, even in a vehicle in which the common potential of the high-voltage circuit and the common potential of the low-voltage circuit are separated, when an external charging device is connected, the high-voltage circuit of the vehicle is automatically operated without performing a special switch operation or the like. And the common potential of the low-voltage circuit are connected to each other, so that the high-voltage power supply and the low-voltage power supply supplied from the charging device can be simultaneously used on the vehicle side. Furthermore, even when the connection of the charging device is completed after the charging of the high-voltage battery is completed, the common potential of the high-voltage circuit and the common potential of the low-voltage circuit of the vehicle are automatically disconnected without performing a special switch operation. The state can be restored.
