本発明は、複写機、レーザプリンタ、ファックス等の画像形成装置において、載置手段上のシート材を1枚ずつ順次装置本体内に給送する給紙装置に関するものである。

【従来の技術】
複写機等に組み込まれた給紙装置の給紙コロは、使用につれて表面の摩擦抵抗が変化し、次第に所定の紙送りができなくなるため、一般に交換部品になっており、サービスマンやユーザによって保守交換される必要がある。

従来、給紙コロは、図3に示されるように、当該コロ1を支持する軸2の軸端に、回転自在に又は軸と一体で回転するように構成されていて、スラスト方向の抜け防止のために、軸端に設けられた溝3に対して止め輪4を締結することが行われている。あるいはコロ自身の内周壁或いは当該コロに嵌着された軸孔部材内周部分に形成された凸部分を軸溝に嵌合させて、抜け防止を行うこともある。

またフィードローラ、リバースローラ及びピックアップローラのように、複数の給紙コロを有する給紙装置では、支持軸に対して回転自在にコロを支持する構成と、軸と共に回転するようにコロを支持する構成が同時に備えられているが、両構成ではコロ形状が相互に異なるため、区別して取り付ける必要がある。即ち、図4に示されるように、回転自在にコロを支持する場合には、当該コロ1’には通常の円柱孔を有する軸孔部材5を嵌着させて、この軸孔部材5の円柱孔に溝付き軸2を嵌挿するのに対して、コロを軸と共に回転させる場合には、コロ1''にD孔を有する軸孔部材6を嵌着させて、D孔に対応すべくDカットされ部分的に平坦部を有した溝付き軸12を軸孔部材6のD孔に嵌挿するようになっている。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
更に従来のコロでは、コロ両端が開放されているので、軸にコロをセットする際に本来とは逆の方向からコロを挿入することもあった。通常は、同軸上でコロに隣接嵌合する部品等があり、逆方向にセットした場合でも、その嵌合部が合わなかったり、軸端でコロのスラストを止める止め軸が組付けられない等の状態となることで、逆セットの防止がなされているが、このような関係では、一旦コロを組付ける作業をして始めて誤りに気づくことができるものであり、組付け作業を煩雑なものにしている。装置の組付けに日々従事する組付け作業者であれば、部品形状によってセット方向を容易に判別することも可能であるが、サービスマンやユーザ等の保守作業者では正逆を見誤ることも少なくない。

本発明は、以上のような実情に鑑み、給紙コロのセット方向を容易に識別でき、しかも取付軸に対して回転自在なコロとしても当該軸と一体的に回転すべきコロとしても区別なく用いることができる給紙装置を提供することを課題にするものである。

【課題を解決するための手段】
上記課題を解決するために、本発明にしたがい、取付軸の端部に着脱可能な軸孔部材付きコロを有する給紙装置において、コロ内周に嵌着された軸孔部材が軸端を包み込む袋状に形成されており、この袋状軸孔部材の内周領域が、軸線方向に平坦部を有するD孔部分と凸部を有する円柱孔部分とからなっている。

上記袋状軸孔部材の内周面に凸部が形成され、当該凸部に対応する溝を取付軸が備えていれば、好適である。また軸孔部材外面から突出し、軸孔部材乃至コロの半径方向に変位可能な爪が形成され、上記凸部が当該爪領域に備えられていれば、一層効果的である。

【発明の実施の形態】
本発明の詳細を、図に示した実施の形態に基づいて具体的に説明する。
図1に本発明の典型的な一形態を示す。この給紙装置においては、コロ1の内周に嵌着された軸孔部材8は、上記従来例の貫通孔とは異なり、軸端を包み込むように、めくら孔状態に形成されており、また爪部8aを有している。更に当該軸孔部材8は、爪部8aの内周面側に凸部8bを有している。通常の円柱軸2が軸孔部材8に嵌挿されると、図1(b)に示されるように、軸2の軸端近傍に形成された溝3に軸孔部材8の凸部8bが係合し、コロ1がスラスト方向にずれないように、且つ軸に対してコロが回転自在であるようになる。そして軸孔部材8のめくら孔底部近傍はD孔部分8cに形成されているので、Dカット部9aを先端に有する軸9を嵌挿すると、コロ1は軸9と一体に回転するように支持されることとなる。

爪8aを半径方向に押し開くことによって、凸部8bを溝3から退避させ、コロ1を軸2(9)から取り外すことができることとなる。またコロ1を軸2(9)にセットする際には、軸孔部材8が袋状に形成されていることで、差し込み方向を誤ることがない。

以上より、めくら孔状の軸孔部材にD孔部分を有するようにすることで、コロを回転自在にも軸と一体に回転させるようにすることができ、同じコロ1を給紙機構の複数の軸に取り付けることが可能となり(図2)、図5に示された従来構成のように異なるコロを準備する必要がなくなったので、保守交換性が向上することとなった。

【発明の効果】
本発明に係る給紙装置によれば、取付軸の端部に着脱可能なコロ内周嵌着軸孔部材が軸端を包み込む袋状に形成されているので、コロのセット方向が明確となり、装置組立時や保守交換の際に、組付けを誤ることがなくなり、その作業が容易となった。そして上記袋状軸孔部材の内周領域が、軸線方向に平坦部を有するD孔部分と凸部を有する円柱孔部分とからなっていれば、軸に対して回転自在なコロとしても、軸と一体的に回転すべきコロとしても用いることができ、軸毎に異なるコロを用意する面倒がなくなり、組付・交換作業が容易になるとともに、部品の共通化でコストメリットも生じる。

また袋状軸孔部材の内周面に凸部を形成し、当該凸部に対応する溝を取付軸に備えるようにすることで、止め輪が不要となり、請求項1の構成に比べても一段と作業性が向上することとなった。軸孔部材外面から突出し、軸孔部材乃至コロの半径方向に変位可能な爪を形成し、上記凸部を当該爪領域に備えるようにすれば、コロの取外しが更に容易である。
