TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to an image forming system for forming an image using a capsule in which a coloring material is enclosed.
[0002]
[Prior art]
2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, there has been known an image forming system that forms an image using a capsule in which a coloring material (a coloring agent, ink, or the like) is enclosed. In this type of image forming system, the wall film of the capsule is formed of a film made of a photocurable resin, a layer of the capsule is formed on a sheet, and the capsule layer is exposed according to a desired image pattern. Thereafter, by applying pressure, the capsule that has not been exposed (cured) is crushed and the inner coloring material is released.
[0003]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, such an image forming system has a problem that it is difficult to form a color image. Furthermore, it is necessary to store the sheet in a dark place so that the capsule layer is not exposed when not in use, or to store the sheet in a hard case so that the capsule is not crushed by careless pressure, making it difficult to handle the sheet There was a problem.
[0004]
The present invention has been made in view of the above circumstances, and an object of the present invention is to provide an image forming system that can form a color image with a simple configuration and easily handle sheets in an image forming system using a capsule. Is what you do.
[0005]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to solve the above-mentioned problem, the image forming system according to the present invention encapsulates a plurality of color materials in a plurality of types of capsules for different colors (different conditions for crushing according to types), and forms the plurality of color materials on a base material. An image forming sheet on which a layer including a capsule is formed is used. Then, in an image forming apparatus having a thermal head having a heating element and a platen that sandwiches the image forming sheet between the heating element, the heating element of the thermal head is made of bimetal, and the heating element presses the sheet. The pressing force changes according to the heat generation temperature of the heat generation element. Then, for each pixel, the temperature and pressure applied to the sheet are controlled by controlling the heating temperature of the heating element, and a capsule of a specific color is selectively crushed and colored.
[0006]
With this configuration, by changing the heating temperature of the heating element of the thermal head, the pressing force for pressing the sheet also changes automatically, so that the color is changed for each pixel (by changing the type of capsule to be crushed). To form an image. That is, it is possible to form a color image with a simple device configuration. Further, since the sheet does not develop color unless heat and pressure act simultaneously, handling of the sheet in a normal environment is facilitated.
[0007]
The above-mentioned heat generating element may be configured to be brought into contact with the sheet in a state where the heat generating element is bent by a predetermined amount, and to be greatly bent as the heat generation temperature is low to strongly press the sheet, and to be weakly pressed as the heat generation temperature is high. . This makes it possible to easily make the heat generation temperature of the heating element correspond to the pressing force with which the heating element presses the sheet.
[0008]
The above-described thermal head can be a so-called thermal line head in which heating elements are arranged in one direction. In this case, an oscillating mechanism that oscillates the thermal line head in a direction to move toward and away from the platen is provided, and after an image of one line is formed, the oscillating mechanism is formed before an image of the next one line is formed. The heating element is driven to temporarily separate from the sheet. As a result, the heating element is once cooled, and can be prepared for the next image formation.

FIG. 2 shows an example of the relationship between the elastic modulus of the shape memory resin and the temperature. At the glass transition temperature Tg or more, the shape memory resin exhibits rubber elasticity due to activation of the micro-brown motion of the molecular chain (region b), and at the glass transition temperature Tg or less, the micro-brown motion freezes to show a glass state (region a). ) As such a shape memory resin, for example, a resin made of polynorbornene, trans-1,4-polyisoprene, polyurethane or the like is known. In the present embodiment, the property of the shape memory resin that the elastic coefficient rapidly changes before and after the glass transition temperature is used.

For example, when one pixel is first heated and pressed in the region A (FIG. 3), and then heated and pressed in the region B (FIG. 3), cyan and magenta are mixed to form a blue color. That is, a full-color (seven colors) line image can be formed.

As in the first embodiment, in the second embodiment, a full-color image can be formed with a very simple apparatus configuration (FIG. 6) having one thermal line head and one platen. In addition, since the microcapsules do not develop color unless heat and pressure are simultaneously applied, handling of the sheet in a normal environment is easy.

Next, an example using another microcapsule will be described.

On the other hand, in a region M (temperature is equal to or higher than FM in FIG. 13 and lower than FY in FIG. 13), the cyan and magenta coloring materials are melted, and the yellow coloring material is solid. Also, due to the difference in the thickness of the wall film, the

Thus, a color image can be easily formed even by using a microcapsule in which a solid color material is sealed at room temperature. Also in this case, a full-color image can be formed with a very simple apparatus configuration having one thermal line head and one platen. In addition, the microcapsules enclosing the solid color material do not develop color unless heat and pressure are simultaneously applied, so that the sheet can be easily handled in a normal environment.

【The invention's effect】
As described above, according to the image forming system of the present invention, it is possible to form a color image with a simple apparatus configuration, and it is also easy to handle an image forming sheet.
