TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a pulse train separating apparatus and a pulse train separating method for separating a composite signal in which pulse trains from a plurality of signal sources overlap each other into pulse trains for each signal source.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Conventionally, in order to separate a composite signal in which pulse trains from a plurality of signal sources overlap each other into pulse trains for each signal source, a pulse train separating apparatus based on pulse arrival time (hereinafter referred to as TOA (Time of Arrival)) data Has been proposed.
[0003]
FIG. 16 is a flowchart showing a process in a conventional pulse train separating apparatus for detecting and separating a pulse train from TOA data of a pulse, for example, disclosed in US Pat. No. 5,583,505.
[0004]
In FIG. 16, S60 is a step of obtaining an autocorrelation, S62 is a step of obtaining a candidate for a pulse repetition interval (hereinafter referred to as PRI (Pulse Repetition Interval)), S64 is a step of allocating a memory to an integrator, and S66 is a step of allocating each pulse. Stacking in bins of all integrators, S68 analyzing integrators with minimum PRI, S70 comparing integrator peaks with thresholds, S72 maintaining integrator peaks above threshold When it is determined that a corresponding PRI exists, S74 is a step of removing a pulse train having the PRI from the time window, S76 is a step of obtaining autocorrelation again, S77 is a step of proceeding to the integrator of the next PRI candidate, S78. Is whether there are still integrators to analyze The step of constant, a step of determining whether or not the remaining pulses of solely S79.
[0005]
Next, the operation of the above-described conventional pulse train separating apparatus will be described with reference to the drawings.
[0006]
In FIG. 16, first, the autocorrelation function of the TOA data of the pulse within the time window is obtained (step S60). The peak of the obtained autocorrelation function is determined, and if the area of the peak (the product of the height and the width of the peak) exceeds the threshold value, the position of the peak is extracted as a PRI candidate (step S62). . Next, an integrator is assigned to each of these PRI candidates (step S64). The integrator is composed of a table having a time width corresponding to the PRI. The integrator obtains the position in the table corresponding to the time remaining after dividing the TOA by PRI for each input pulse, and counts up the value in the table. The integration is performed for each pulse in the time window by each integrator (step S66).
[0007]
Next, in order to detect the signal source, the analysis is performed in order from the small PRI integrator (step S68). It is checked whether or not the peak value in the table of the integrator exceeds the threshold value (step S70). If the peak value is exceeded, it is determined that a signal source having the PRI exists (step S72). Thereafter, the pulse train having the PRI is removed from the original pulse train (step S74), and the autocorrelation function is obtained again for the remaining pulse train (step S76), and the above processing is repeated.
[0008]
On the other hand, if the peak value in the table of the integrator does not exceed the threshold value in step S70, the process proceeds to the analysis of the integrator for the next smallest PRI (step S77). This continues until there are no more integrators to analyze (step S78). Finally, it is determined whether or not the remaining pulse is a single pulse. If a group is formed instead of a single one, it is regarded as having occurred by radar scan, and the scan cycle is analyzed (step S79).
[0009]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
As described above, in the conventional pulse train separating apparatus, it is premised that the processing is performed by first detecting a PRI candidate using an autocorrelation function. However, when the number of signal sources is large, or when a complex PRI other than the fixed PRI is used. When a signal source having the following pattern exists, a clear peak is unlikely to appear in the autocorrelation function, and the autocorrelation function has a problem of harmonics that can occur at an integer multiple of PRI. There was a problem that the pulse train could not be properly extracted and the pulse train could not be accurately detected and separated.
[0010]
The present invention has been made in order to solve the above-described problems, and can accurately estimate a PRI of a signal source including a signal source having a complicated PRI pattern, and can improve separation accuracy of a pulse train. It is an object of the present invention to obtain a pulse train separating apparatus and a pulse train separating method.
[0011]

[0014]
Also, the modified PRI conversion, in which the jitter pulse train detecting means has overlapping PRI bins and moves the time origin, is used.
[0015]
The present invention also provides a fixed PRI pulse train detection for detecting a fixed PRI pulse train having a fixed pulse repetition interval (PRI) based on arrival time (TOA) data of each pulse of a composite pulse train in which pulse trains from a plurality of signal sources overlap. Output the second remaining pulse train not included A staggered pulse train separating step; a jitter pulse train detecting step of detecting a jitter pulse train from the second remaining pulse train output from the staggered pulse train separating means based on arrival time (TOA) data of each pulse of the composite pulse train; A jitter pulse train separating step of separating the jitter pulse train obtained from the second remaining pulse train.
[0016]
In the fixed PRI pulse train detection step, detection is performed using PRI conversion.
[0017]
The staggered pulse train detecting step includes a triple pulse histogram calculating step of obtaining a histogram of the pulse repetition interval for a set of triple pulses composed of three pulses arranged at equal intervals, and a plurality of peaks from the obtained histogram. And determining whether each peak is the basic period of the pulse train.
[0018]
Further, in the jitter pulse train detection step, modified PRI conversion having overlapping PRI bins and moving the time origin is used.

【The invention's effect】
The present invention provides a fixed PRI pulse train detecting means for detecting a fixed PRI pulse train having a fixed pulse repetition interval (PRI) based on arrival time (TOA) data of each pulse of a composite pulse train in which pulse trains from a plurality of signal sources overlap. A fixed PRI pulse train separating means for separating the detected fixed PRI pulse train from the original composite pulse train and outputting the remaining pulse train after separation, and a composite pulse train from the remaining pulse train output from the fixed PRI pulse train separating means. And a staggered pulse train detecting means for detecting a staggered pulse train based on the arrival time (TOA) data of each pulse, separating the detected staggered pulse train from the remaining pulse trains, and excluding the separated fixed PRI pulse train and the staggered pulse train. A star that outputs the second remaining pulse train A pulse train separating means, a jitter pulse train detecting means for detecting a jitter pulse train from the second remaining pulse train output from the stagger pulse train separating means based on arrival time (TOA) data of each pulse of the composite pulse train, Jitter pulse train separating means for separating the jitter pulse train from the second remaining pulse train, and a pulse train separating device, so that the pulse train corresponding to each type of PRI is detected and separated step by step. Including a case where the number of signal sources is large or a signal source having a complicated PRI pattern other than the fixed PRI, the PRI of the signal source can be accurately estimated, and each pulse train can be accurately detected and separated. .
[0130]
Further, since the fixed PRI pulse train detecting means performs the detection using the PRI conversion, only the PRI of the partial pulse train included in the composite pulse train can be extracted as a peak, so that the PRI can be clearly identified. This has the effect.
[0131]
Further, a staggered pulse train detecting unit calculates a histogram of a pulse repetition interval for a set of three pulses composed of three pulses arranged at equal intervals, and a triple pulse histogram calculation unit, and calculates a plurality of peaks from the obtained histogram. And a determining unit for detecting whether each peak is the basic period of the pulse train. In the obtained histogram, there are sharp peaks at the basic period of the staggered pulse train and an integer multiple thereof. This has the effect that the basic period of the staggered pulse can be clearly identified.
[0132]
Also, since the jitter pulse train detection means uses the modified PRI conversion, which has overlapping PRI bins and moves the time origin, a sharp peak appears at the average PRI of the jitter pulse train. There is an effect that the average PRI can be clearly identified.
[0133]
The present invention also provides a fixed PRI pulse train detection for detecting a fixed PRI pulse train having a fixed pulse repetition interval (PRI) based on arrival time (TOA) data of each pulse of a composite pulse train in which pulse trains from a plurality of signal sources overlap. A fixed PRI pulse train separating step of separating the detected fixed PRI pulse train from the original composite pulse train and outputting the remaining pulse train after the separation, and a remaining pulse train output from the fixed PRI pulse train separating means, A staggered pulse train detecting step of detecting a staggered pulse train based on arrival time (TOA) data of each pulse of the composite pulse train, separating the detected staggered pulse train from the remaining pulse trains, and separating the fixed PRI pulse train and the staggered pulse train after separation. Output the second remaining pulse train not included A staggered pulse train separating step; a jitter pulse train detecting step of detecting a jitter pulse train from the second remaining pulse train output from the staggered pulse train separating means based on arrival time (TOA) data of each pulse of the composite pulse train; And a jitter pulse train separation step of separating the jitter pulse train from the second remaining pulse train, since the pulse train separation method includes a pulse train corresponding to each type of PRI, so that the pulse train is detected and separated step by step. Including a case where the number of signal sources is large or a signal source having a complicated PRI pattern other than the fixed PRI, the PRI of the signal source can be accurately estimated, and each pulse train can be accurately detected and separated. .
[0134]
Further, in the fixed PRI pulse train detection step, the detection is performed using PRI conversion, so that only the PRI of the partial pulse train included in the composite pulse train can be extracted as a peak, so that the PRI can be clearly identified. This has the effect.
[0135]
The staggered pulse train detecting step includes a triple pulse histogram calculating step of obtaining a histogram of the pulse repetition interval for a set of triple pulses composed of three pulses arranged at equal intervals, and a plurality of peaks from the obtained histogram. And a determination step of determining whether each peak is the basic period of the pulse train. In the obtained histogram, there is a sharp peak at the basic period of the staggered pulse train and an integral multiple thereof. This has the effect that the basic period of the staggered pulse can be clearly identified.
[0136]
Also, in the jitter pulse train detection step, the modified PRI conversion is used, which has overlapping PRI bins and moves the time origin, so that there is a sharp peak at the average PRI of the jitter pulse train. There is an effect that the average PRI can be clearly identified.
