【発明の属する技術分野】
本発明は、情報提供サービス方法及びシステム及び情報提供サーバ及び情報提供サービスプログラムを格納した記憶媒体に係り、特に、プッシュ形情報配信サービスを小型携帯ユーザ端末で実現するための情報提供サービス方法及びシステム及び情報提供サーバ及び情報提供サービスプログラムを格納した記憶媒体に関する。

【従来の技術】
図９は、従来のプッシュ形情報提供サービスシステムを説明するための図である。同図に示すシステムは、情報提供サーバ１０、公衆データ通信回線２０及びユーザ端末３０から構成され、ユーザが欲しい情報のキーワードを情報提供サーバ１０に登録しておくことにより、その分野の情報をユーザ端末３０に自動的に送信するサービスである。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
しかしながら、上記の従来のプッシュ形情報提供サービスは、街角や公共施設に設置され、不特定多数のユーザに情報を提供する情報提供サーバと持込み可能な小型携帯ユーザ端末の間でこのサービスを行おうとすると、転送される情報のデータ量が多いため、低速なデータ通信機能しか実現できない小型携帯ユーザ端末では、データのダウンロードのための時間が非常に長くなる欠点がある。

また、小型携帯ユーザ端末では、大きなデータ記憶媒体をもつことができないため、全ての情報を受け取れない欠点もある。
更に、小型携帯ユーザ端末ではデータ処理能力が小さいため、受け取ったデータを迅速に処理し、表示することができないという問題もある。
本発明は、上記の点に鑑みなされたもので、プッシュ形サービスを情報提供サーバと持ち運び可能な小型携帯ユーザ端末で行う場合の情報の提供を、大容量の記憶資源を有するコンピュータサーバを用いて、受け取った全てのデータを迅速にユーザ側に表示することが可能な情報提供サービス方法及びシステム及び情報提供サーバ及び情報提供サービスプログラムを格納した記憶媒体を提供することを目的とする。

【課題を解決するための手段】
図１は、本発明の原理を説明するための図である。
本発明（請求項１）は、公衆データ通信回線に接続されているコマーシャル・案内等の情報を有する情報提供サーバから提供される文字及び画像データを含む情報データを該公衆データ通信回線に接続されたコンピュータサーバと該コンピュータサーバに電話や無線を含む公衆回線を介して接続されているユーザ端末とで取得し、該ユーザ端末に表示するプッシュ形サービスを行う情報提供サービス方法において、
各情報提供サーバにおいて、情報データを該データの詳細内容と目次に分けて保持し（ステップ１）、
ユーザ端末の近辺に設置されている情報提供サーバからユーザ端末へ目次項目のみを伝送し（ステップ２）、
ユーザ端末において、目次項目から選択した目次をコンピュータサーバに送信することにより詳細情報の提供を要求し（ステップ３）、
コンピュータサーバにおいて、ユーザ端末から指定された目次に対応する詳細内容を公衆データ通信回線を介して情報提供サーバからダウンロードし（ステップ４）、

上記のように、本発明では、情報提供サーバから携帯小型ユーザ端末へのデータのダウンロードはデータ量の少ない目次のみでよく、当該目次をユーザ端末からコンピュータサーバに送信することにより、コンピュータサーバがユーザ端末に代わって情報提供サーバから詳細情報を取得し、画像データに編集し、ユーザ端末に提供するため、通信速度が遅いユーザ端末で短時間で目次のみを受け取り、後で、コンピュータサーバから詳細な情報を受け取ることが可能となる。

また、情報提供サーバからユーザ端末に対して目次のみを常時転送することにより、ユーザ端末では、情報提供サーバに目次の転送要求を発行する必要がなく、単に情報提供サーバから提供されている目次を用いてコンピュータサーバに当該目次に対応する情報を要求するという容易な操作のみを行えばよい。
さらに、本発では、ユーザ端末から情報提供サーバに、コンピュータサーバのアドレスと、欲しい情報のキーワードを送信することにより、ユーザ端末では目次を保持するための記憶資源を必要とせず、コンピュータサーバを介して欲しい情報を取得することが可能となる。

【発明の実施の形態】
図３は、本発明の情報提供サービスシステムの構成を示す。同図に示す情報提供サービスシステムは、ＯＣＮインターネット、イーサネット等の公衆データ通信回線２０に接続され、コマーシャル・案内等の情報を有し、街角や公共施設に設置される情報提供サーバ１０、公衆データ通信回線２０に接続され、事業者が所有するコンピュータサーバ５０及びコンピュータサーバ５０から画像データを電話等の公衆回線６０を介して受け取り表示すると共に、情報提供サーバ１０から情報データを受け取るユーザが所有するユーザ端末４０から構成される。

同図に示す情報提供サーバ１０は、情報保持部１１、目次転送部１２、ダウンロード部１３から構成される。情報保持部１１は、提供情報の詳細情報と目次項目を関連付けて保持する。目次転送部１２は、ユーザ端末４０に対して情報保持部１１から目次項目のみを読み出して、コンピュータサーバ５０に送信する。ダウンロード部１３は、コンピュータサーバ５０から情報提供要求が発行された場合に、情報保持部１１から詳細情報を読み出してコンピュータサーバ５０に提供する。

また、上記の例は、図４及び図７の構成に基づいて説明したが、この例に限定されることなく、情報提供サーバ１０の目次転送部１２、アドレス・キーワード取得部１４、ダウンロード部１３、コンピュータサーバ５０の情報取得部５１や伝送情報編集部５２及びユーザ端末４０の提供要求部４１をプログラムとして構築し、各コンピュータに接続されるディスク装置や、フロッピーディスクやＣＤ−ＲＯＭ等の可搬記憶媒体に格納しておき、適宜インストールすることにより、本発明が容易に実現できる。

【発明の効果】
上述のように、本発明によれば、情報提供サーバから携帯小型ユーザ端末へのデータのダウンロードは、データ量の少ない目次のみでよく、通信速度が遅い携帯小型ユーザ端末でも短時間で情報を受け取ることができる。このため、電波によるデータ通信を行うと情報提供サーバの近辺を通るだけで携帯小型ユーザ端末への目次データを伝送することができる。

また、データ量が少ないため、携帯小型ユーザ端末は、ＲＡＭ等の小さなデータ記憶媒体だけ持てばよく、携帯小型ユーザ端末の小型化、低電力化が可能となる。
さらに、詳細情報は記憶容量の大きな大型ディスク装置を有するコンピュータサーバに伝送され、残されるため、多くの情報を残しておいて後でゆっくり携帯小型ユーザ端末で読むといったことが、能力・記憶容量の劣る携帯小型ユーザ端末で可能となる。

また、このシステムの場合、携帯小型ユーザ端末は、情報提供サーバから目次情報データを受け取るだけでよく、携帯小型ユーザ端末から情報提供サーバへ何の影響も与えないため、携帯小型ユーザ端末と情報提供サーバの間を電波を用いて通信する場合、携帯小型ユーザ端末は発信機能を有する必要性がなく、さらなる小型化が可能となると共に、ユーザ情報のセキュリティに優れている。

また、本発明では、携帯小型ユーザ端末から情報提供サーバへコンピュータサーバのアドレスと欲しい情報のキーワードを発信するため、携帯小型ユーザ端末は、情報提供サーバからのデータ（目次項目）のダウンロードは必要なく、情報提供サーバからのデータの受信装置及びデータ記憶媒体を必要としない。また、携帯小型ユーザ端末の一層の小型化、低電力化が可能となる。
